Wedding Challenge

Hello crafty peeps!  I was perusing the popular pinterest as I sometimes do…wink wink….and came across the lovely Wedding card.  I was asked by a co-worker to make a wedding card that week and felt it was fate!  So I can’t take credit for the original idea, but I was pleased with the results and so was my co-worker.  I am also entering it into 2 challenges the first is a challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge to make something for or about a wedding.  It’s a new challenge blog that I found.   And the 2nd one is a Sketch challenge over at Retro Sketches….this is one of my New favorite Challenge sites! I rotated the sketch onto it’s side!  I love the sketches these ladies come up with!  You have plenty of time to play along!   Go and have yourself a looksie!

Enjoy your weekend,

ISSC12….and Mother’s Day Challenge

Hi there!  It’s Tuesday evening and I am here just in time to make a post for another Sketch Challenge over at ISpy Sketches.  I was so thrilled that I didn’t miss the opportunity to play along.  I hope it’s okay that my large flower (circle) is a little bit off to the side…I realized it as I was posting that it’s not covering the 3 panels as much as it should have!  oops!!  I paper pieced the flower to match the DP. This card will also be entered into the Mother’s Day challenge over at Stamp TVPlease go check out this fabulous site filled with talented stampers!

Have a great rest of the week!

Smile

Hi Blog friends,  The card I have for you today is for two challenges.  The first one is for a challenge over at Stamp TV to Case the DT member Melanie Muechinger.  She is super talented and it was very difficult to make a selection, but I finally did!  My card doesn’t exactly look like hers…but  it sparked my sponging idea.   I combined that challenge with a Sketch Challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches, but unfortunatley missed the deadline and the collection is closed….4#&$&@$$$ insert whatever word you would like there!  Tee hee!  Oh well, it happens!  I have been working quite a bit with sponging techniques lately and I do enjoy it very much. The smile and the image stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby.

As always I so appreciate when you stop in an leave your comments!

This is the card that won!

Hello Friend

Hello my internet Friends…It’s been a few weeks since I have had a chance to play along with Freshly Mades Sketches and am so glad I didn’t miss this Great Sketch # 30.  I am very pleased with the finished product and I don’t get to say that to often.  It doesn’t hurt to have a beautiful paper pack to start with to get my mojo started.  It’s called La Creme and it’s by DCWV and I absolutely love it!  I can’t take credit for the majority of the black flowers…they are already on the paper and are raised and feel like felt…..so cool!!!   I added the other flowers to make it more fancy and more my own!  Hope you like it!  Couldn’t have completed it without my MS punches since my Cricut is broken and on it’s way back to Provo Craft to see if they can fix it.  I must say they are a great company to work with and have been very helpful!  Hope it comes back in working order and very soon!

Have a great week,

Thanks for going out of your way

I feel like I am so out of touch with life and being creative latley.  As I have mentioned in my last post I have been under the weather for the last two weeks now, but I hope today getting the nice shot in the you know what will get me feeling better really quick.  If so, it was well worth it!

Anyhoo, ( I love and miss you mom, that’s her favorite word)  The card I have for you today is for a past sketch over at Deconstructing Jen…what I love about this site is they have no deadline!  Yeah!!!!  I can’t miss this one!  I made this card awhile ago, but was waiting to add some added floral with my Cricut and that never happened because my cricut is broken and that’s another story for another time! Insert HUGE sad face here!

So here is the finished card with the added floral from the faithful MS punch!

Enjoy your weekend,

Clean and Simple 184

A quick post for all of you today.  I hope you had a great Easter weekend.  I got to see my son yesterday, so it was great!   I found the perfect sketch over at Clean & Simple.  As I was looking through all the other submissions I decided to use stamps only as the focal point instead of paper.  I noticed there were a few others that did that and I thought it was a brilliant idea. Won’t you join me it’s not to late!!!

I hope to get back into more regular posts as soon as I get to feeling better.  Can’t shake this cold or whatever it is.

Take care,

Retirement Card

A very good friend and former boss of mine is having a retirement party tomorrow and this is the card I made for him.  I have the ultimate respect for this man I wish him a wonderful life filled with health and happiness.  Since he absolutely loves to golf,  I knew exactly what type of card to make for him. For those of you who know nothing at all about golf, there is no such thing as the 19th hole, it’s referring to the drinks you have after your round. LOL  I typed the inside of the card on my computer.

This card was not originally my design I got it off of pinterest.  Here is the original below.

My sky looks nothing like hers and I like her flag much better, but it was fun to make!

The website it takes me to is here.  I was unable to find the original card once I went to Julie’s blog. She is very talented!

Have a great day,
