Happy New Year-Beverages!

This is the first post of two posts I have for you today!

Hello, Happy New Year to you! I am honored to be the hostess for the first challenge of 2022 over at Just Us Girls! Not only do we have a great challenge starting we also have TWO new DT members joining us! We have the talented Lisa Elton and Carol McFarland starting today! I am so very excited! I just adore both of these ladies so much, plus they are so talented, and I know you will too! Come on over to Just Us Girls and learn a bit more about them! in addition to that, we have TWO new Guest designers this month! We have the talented…Stef Perry and Chrissie Stokes playing along! Welcome ladies! We are so happy to have you both!

As for my cards for today! I have chosen the word Beverage for Word Week this week and I think it is going to be a fun one! I had so much fun with the wine card, I decided to get out my new dies from Tim Holtz and make a beer card too.

I am also playing along with Time Out Challenges where the word is New. The stencil and beer mug is new to me.

Card Details: The stencil is brand new to me and from Heffy Doddle, the wine bottle and glasses are from Paper Roses. The greetings are from MFT. The beer die is from Tim Holtz.

I hope to see you over at JUGS! The DT and our guest really did an incredible job with my word, and I know you will be inspired!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Merry Christmas the Florida Way

Hello, I hope you are doing well during this pre-Holiday rush and feel like you are on top of everything. I am doing fairly well and only have a few odds and ends to wrap up.

As for today’s card…Over at Time Out Challenge, the word they have for us is Inspiration. Right away I knew what I wanted to do. Therese from Lost in Paper inspires me continuously and this older card, in particular, was one that I adored and had to replicate. Pictured below! Although, I didn’t have the cool Merry Christmas die cut that she used and had to settle on a stamp instead. I made a few with the half-circle mound of sand like she did and then I made a few others with the sunset in the background.

I also wanted to join in over at Peace On Earth Christmas where they have a mood board for you or you can stick with anything Christmas.

Below is Therese’s fabulous card that inspired me!

Card Details: I made myself a stencil with a circle die-cut and used some blending brushes and Oxide Inks to make the background. I colored the Plam Tree- from Art Impressions with a bit of Copics and Colored Pencil. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I fussy cut my tree and used lots of dimensionals too.

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Florida Christmas and may 2022 somehow be better than the two years prior, we can only hope. Also, a big thanks for all your encouragement and sweet comment over the years, it is more appreciated than you could ever know! This hobby has done so much for me, especially this past year, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

I would be amiss to not acknowledge that this time of year can be particularly hard for many, for a multitude of reasons. So let me close in saying, that I wish you strength as we celebrate Christmas and hope for a new beginning in 2022, and to remind you to give yourself some grace along the way. I am reminding myself too.

Take care, Nanc’

Celebrate the Season

Hello, I am back again today with another Christmas card. Today I am linking this fun card up over at Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies and Christmas Kickstart where it just has to be Christmassy.

My BF-Carol and I often get together and share supplies and this darling package-carrying die-cut is hers, and it is from Spellbinders. Below you will see that her legs move when you shake the card from side to side. This set is a lot of fun to play with and I have another card using her for a DT commitment, coming up in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned. The cute tree EF background is from Momenta and my friend’s too.

I hope you are having a great start to your week! Take care, Nanc’

Make a Scene

Hello, The card I am sharing today is for a couple of challenges. First, it’s for the month-long challenge at Christmas Craft Creations. The theme this month is Make a Scene. I stumbled upon this great site a couple of months ago.

I am also linking up with the fun over at Happy Little Stampers, Stencil Challenge where it’s Anything Goes. As you will see with the pics below I made my own stencils for this card.

Card Details: I hope the above photos are self-explanatory. This is a design I have been thinking about and messing with for a little while. For my final card, I purposely left the white between the sand and the water to mimic sea foam. The added white lines should have been a bit more random, they were suggested by a dear friend, but poorly executed. The greeting is from Flora and Fauna. The Santa/sleigh is a stamp from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Of course, I used Distress Oxide Inks. The negative tree stencil is something I made from my old school when I was working and luckily found in my very large box of stencils. I do miss having access to fabulous large Sizzix dies.

I hope you are doing well during this Holiday Season. Take care and happy crafting! Nanc’

Final Card with The Paper Players

Hello, Today is my final card as part of my guesting year with The Paper Players. I can’t believe a year has gone by so quickly. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with these fabulous ladies and am truly sad that it’s over. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity they bestowed upon me. During my time, I have gotten to know each of the DT members a bit more, and I can totally see why this blog is so successful. It is a well-oiled machine with sweetness overload. Ladies, you may be done with me as a Guest DT member, but I can tell you for certain, that I will be back in the gallery any chance I can.

This week it’s Color week and sweet Leanne has a perfect one for us! I know the colors scream Christmas, but I decided to go in a totally different direction. I also know that I used the WRONG color green and had no time to rectify the situation. Please forgive me team and LeAnne! 😦

I am linking up over at Addicted to Stamps and More also for their Diecuts and or Stencils challenge.

Card Details: The flowers and leaves are from Sizzix. The Embossing folder I have no idea whose it is, as I have had this piece of cream cardstock in my to-be-used pile for quite some time and I must have used it at a friend’s house years ago. The sentiment is from Avery Elle and I used gold Nuvo drops and gold glitter paper too.

Have yourself a…

Hello, I hope you are doing well! How’s the shopping coming? Me not so well! I hope to get going on it this week sometime. I have a few things bought for my DIL, but that is about it. It gets harder and harder the older they get. Plus when they don’t live nearby it’s hard to know what they have and don’t have.

Today’s card has become one of my favs of the season for sure. Speaking of cards, those are done and ready to mail! YAY! I ordered stamps on-line for the first time, since we needed so many, and they haven’t arrived yet! I thought it would be wise since buying 200 stamps was going to save me 26.00. I hope they arrive soon!

I am linking up with 3 challenges. First and foremost, the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Holiday/Christmas and over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge with an option of Toys. I think some of my miniatures look a lot like toys. I love the mood boards from the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge too. My card checks off all of the boxes on there as well.

Happy Holidays/Christmas

Card Details: This card was a lot of work to cut out but so relaxing to piece together. The mini dies are new and from Simon Says Stamps-Tim Holtz and called-Christmas Minis, Greeting and stitched squares are from Stampin Up.

Take care and happy holiday season, Nanc’

Winter Wonderland

Hello, I am back today with the next Theme challenge at The Paper Players. This week, Jaydee is our wonderful hostess and she has chosen Winter Wonderland for us. This Florida girl doesn’t typically make too many winter scenes but thought it might be fun to make another snowglobe card like I did last year.

Over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I am playing along with The Center Row of Glitz, Free, and Christmas.

Card Details: Stencil background is MFT, the Snowglobe is Lawn fawn, the cute little Santa is from Neat and Tangled, and the greeting is from SU. Added a bit of glitz/shimmer on my snowglobe and glitter inside for snow!

You Made the Nice List

Hello, It is December 1st already, and time for the next Hues of Colors at Color Hues! For this challenge, we are leaving the linky open until December 29th as we know this time of year can get so hectic and I wanted to also give the DT less to do. Cindy is our fabulous hostess and she has picked the perfect color combo for us for December!

I am also going to link the Jolly man up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where the challenge is Any Occasion.

Card Details: The Santa die is from Spellbinders and I adore him. The DSP is very festive and has a lot of shades of green and red in it. I used chalk to color Santa’s cheeks and nose. The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled. Lots of dimensionals and glitter for his hat and eyebrows to finish him off.

Now pop on over to Color Hues and check out the fabulous cards by the DT and our wonderful guest that needs no introduction…Michele Ferguson!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’
