Tri-Fold Card

Hello, Have we got a fun challenge for you this week at Just Us Girls. Lisa is our hostess and she asked for us to make a tri-fold card for Wild card Week. If you know me, I rarely make a card that is not your typical A2 size, so this was a good challenge for me. It certainly pushed me to do something different and shock my followers. LOL I did some Pinterest browsing and I stumbled upon a barn-door fold and decided to turn “My Barn” sideways.

Here are the pics of the inside!

Card Details: I didn’t give my Spellbinders bunny much love at Easter time so I thought I would bring him out once again. The clouds and balloon come from that same die set as well. The Grass is from MFT and the butterfly is from Sizzix and fussy cut. The inside greeting is from Close to My Heart and it’s an oldie but a goodie. I did use a dotted EF on my clouds.

Now, you have to come to Just Us Girls and check out all the various folds from the DT and I hope you will be brave like me and give a Tri-fold card a try! I really did enjoy the process. Before I go I want to tell Mac thanks for being an amazing guest at JUGS! It was such a delight having you along!

Take care and enjoy your day and hopefully, you will find some time to be creative! Nanc’

Birthday Wishes

Hello, I am back today with a Birthday card which so happens to be for the challenge starting today at Seize the Birthday! I am the hostess and I chose Butterflies and or Hummingbirds as my topping. I tend to gravitate towards butterflies but I was determined to break out my Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbirds instead, after all, that is why I purchased them…right? I think I have used them maybe three times and that might be stretching the truth a bit. This card took hours to come together and that was not necessarily the coloring. Does that happen to you sometimes? I must have walked away from it at least three times. I used Copics for my coloring and a bit of white pencil for some final touches.

Card Details: The hummingbirds-Pretty Pink Posh, the scalloped edge die is from Lawn Fawn. The greeting is from Verve. The stenciled die is from MFT and called-Geometric Grid. The die-flowers and leaves are from Pink and Main. I used a dotted EF to give the leaves a bit of texture and some pearl centers on my flowers.

I hope you will come and check out the fabulous cards over at Seize the Birthday along with our wonderful Surprise Party Guest, Deepti! This is her last challenge with us and I am so very sad to see her go. Her work is always stellar. Take care, Deepti!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you take some time to do something creative today, Nanc’

Guest Designer @ATSAM

Hello, I hope this post finds you well! Today I am really delighted to be guesting over at Addicted to Stamps and More for their #428 Challenge-Birthdays. Thanks for having me, ladies! When I started thinking about my card, I decided to pull out some older dies that have been rather neglected and this hot air balloon has always been a favorite of mine.

Card Details: Cloud stencil and cloud die are from MFT, the balloon die and sentiment are both from SU and retired. The dot EF is from SU as well. I put some glossy accents on the tiny heart on the balloon basket to finish it off.

Now head on over to Addicted to Stamps and More and check out the cards by the fabulous team and join us!

Happy Creating, Nanc’

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello, I have a quick card for you today for the latest challenge over at Global Design Project. It is time to CASE the card they have selected for us below. I was intrigued by it the moment I saw it. I love taking foliage and gathering it on one side of a card so that is what I have done. I thought the double circle was a nice touch in front of the rectangle. My twine is a bit too thick and will make it hard to mail, but I like it.

Card Details: The dies/stamps I have used for this card are a mix of two SU sets-Sunflowers and Forever Fern. The greeting is from Sunny Studios. The DSP is SU as well.

I hope you did something today that brought you joy, Nanc’

Thank YOU!

Hello, Today over at Just Us Girls, creative Cecile is our fabulous hostess and she has a very unique and fun photo for us this week. Check it out below!

As soon as I saw this photo I thought speech bubble! So that is what I did.

Card Details: A very quick and easy card to do. The Speech bubble die is ancient and from SU. The greetings are a mix of this and that. At the last minute, I took a black marker and outlined the green background paper to give it some pop.

Now, head on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team and our guest Mac did with this fun photo! Happy crafting, Nanc’

MOM

Hello, Things have been on the quieter side of things as of late here in blogland, as we are in the midst of doing some interior and exterior house painting, and things are not where they should be. You know how that goes. I did sneak in a bit of craft time this morning before the real work begins of putting my house back together. Sadly, my studio did not make the final cut on the new paint list as it really didn’t need it as much as I wanted it. LOL

I decided to play along with the ladies over at Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I had this stenciled panel waiting to be used on my desk, so half the work was done for me. I chose the top row of Mom, Florals, and Ink blending when in fact my card works for three rows on their fun board! That was a happy accident.

I noticed this morning that Time Out Challenges has a theme of Spring beginning, so I will be linking up there as well.

Card Details: Stencil is from Miss Ink Stamps, the MOM is from Simon Says Stamps, the flowers are from Pink and Main, and the leaf die is from Verve, the other small greeting is from Simon Says Stamps. A few rhinestones and I was done. Not sure you can tell but I used vellum as my shadow on my mom die.

I hope you find something to do today that brings you joy, Take care, Nanc’

Swing into Spring

Hello, Happy Easter to you! I have had these cute little Spellbinders set for about a month now and had yet to open it. I know, that doesn’t make much sense with it being Easter and all! At last, I had a bit of time this afternoon to finally break the seal and get this cute little bunny swinging on her swing just in time for Easter.

Here she is in motion.

I am linking up with the following challenges. NBUS

Can You Handle the Pressure– where you must use an EF and the optional theme of Easter.

And over at Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies Challenge

Card Details: Spellbinders small die of the month-Floating Bunny. The two Embossing Folders are both from Sizzix. The little flowers are made with a little bit of this and that. Rhinestones for the flower centers. Gold glitter paper for the greeting.

I hope you had a wonderful day and did something today that brought you joy! Take care, Nanc’

Happy Birthday-Coneflower

Hello all! Second post today! If you are looking for Just Us Girls please scroll down!

I hope you are doing well! It’s the middle of the month already and time for the next hues of color at Color Hues. Sweet Tracey is our hostess this time around and she has picked a wonderful color combo for us. I realized as I was typing this post, that I used the coneflower set from Honey Bee Stamps for my very last card for Color Hues also. Well, there is no denying how much I love that die, now is there?

*Since I first wrote this post I had some time to make another card using this color combination and with something other than the coneflower…LOL.

The DSP did all the work for me and some MFT dies and stamps.

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps, The happy die is MFT the Birthday is from SU. The lattice-die background is from Whimsy Stamps. I used some Oxide Inks to give my flower some added color-depth. I also used gold Nuvo drops for the center of the flower.

Now, If you need some inspiration you must head on over to Color Hues and check out the team’s cards, as they will certainly inspire you!

I hope you find something to do today that brings you joy, Nanc’
