You Inspire Me!

Hello, Today’s card is for this week’s Just Us Girls challenge.  Vicki has chosen a great photo with many ideas to draw inspiration from.  When I sat down to make my card I focused on the single flower, the repetition of squares and the geometric shapes.  My card is quite a standout from the rest of the teams, however I guess that’s what makes this challenge so fun, everyone’s inspiration is different.  My sentiment says just that!

Here are a few details: Vellum background, stitched squares and sunflower are SU,  Sentiment is Altenew-Crafty Friends, die behind the sentiment is Spellbinders I do believe. Clear Nuvo drops, white gel pen and twine.

Anything Goes Birthday @ STB!

Hello Everyone, Hope you are having a good week! The card I have for you today is for the Anything Goes Challenge over at Seize the Birthday! I have used many different companies on this card. Verve- leaves, Hero Arts-sentiment, MFT-banner tags, Altenew-Florals.   Please pay no attention to that horizontal faint line across my card.  I thought it would be wise to make sure the watercolored paper would adhere well to the card base after I put my adhesive on it, so I ran it through my Cuttlebug for added pressure. I read or heard that tip somewhere.  WRONG! BAD IDEA! Thought maybe some Nuvo drops would draw the eye away. LOL  The flowers were heat embossed and watercolored.

Before I go I must say farewell to Kim our Surprise Party Guest. It was an absolute delight having you with us these past two months Kim and PLEASE don’t be a stranger in our gallery, as your cards are simply awesome!

Prominently Purple!

Hello Friends,  Have we got a great challenge for you this week at Just Us Girls. Carol has picked the color Purple for our Color Week. After I finished the above card for this challenge, I realized I had a Christmas Card that I made last year that also is Prominently Purple that I had not shared with you. So here is that one!

Card info: First one is made with SU supplies/ Love the paper pieced die-flower.

Second card: Ornament ( stamped and lightly watercolored), Sentiment is Verve, the Bows are Paper Smooches and the Background stamp is from Stampabilities.

I Will Always Be Here For You!

Hello friends,  It’s Saturday and time for our next Challenge over at Just Us Girls.  For those of you that have been following my blog for quite sometime, you are going to think I have seen this card before, well rest assure you aren’t crazy. However, you haven’t seen THIS card before, but you have seen me do this technique and layout a time or three! It is one of my all time favorite cards so why not case myself…..right?? When I saw our Trend over at JUGS was black and white stripes this is the first thing that came to mind. I hope it’s okay that I added the grey too.

The butterfly is from Savvy and the sentiment (in the Adorable Elephants set) and the Stitched Scalloped Rectangles are from the MFT.

Vibrant Colors!

We have a fun topping starting today over at Seize the Birthday.  The topping is Vibrant Colors and as soon as I got this new Chameleon Stamp Set from Your Next Stamp from my local stamp store, I put the other card I had planned on posting to the side and decided to make a new one. After all, I had a few hours till bed and the post didn’t go live till tomorrow. Besides, I’ve got myself another sinus infection and I have absolutely no voice, so I thought a little stamping might cheer me up.

Here is a pic of the Oxide Inks I used. The stencil is from Heidi Swapp and the Wonky Rectangles is from MFT.  You must hop on over to the Seize the Birthday blog and check out the team’s cards along with our guest designer Kims, they are all so vibrant and fabulous! Nanc’

BTW….I have been messing with my camera’s settings and I am not succeeding.  The card is even more vibrant in person.

Oh Baby!

Hello,  Today’s card is for the latest Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I so enjoy playing along over there. I have chosen the center row of Baby, Punch and Ribbon.  This type of baby card is something that I have made many times in the past, but it’s always fun to do.  However, I had a request to make one with a Minnie Mouse on the bib ( which I have not done before) and that is where my punch comes in for Minnie’s black ears. The sentiment is from Verve and I thought we needed to lighten up all the black with some Nuvo Drops. The rest of the dies are either Spellbinders, MFT or Stampin Up. I just adore any type of stitched dies.

BOLD!

Hello Everyone,  Today over at Just Us Girls our Word is BOLD!  The card I have for you today is a card I made for Christmas last year that I loved, but never posted.  I thought the bold poinsettia would work perfectly! The die is from Heartfelt creations, the EF is ???  and the sentiment is from Verve. Some gold stickles and I was done. Very quick card!  I also curled the petals and leaves to give it more of a realistic vibe.

A Little Late Easter Joy!

Hello,  I failed to post this card yesterday as planned, but I am in luck, as the Tic Tac Toe challenge that I planned on entering it in is still open. SCORE!!! I chose the top row of Circle, Flower and Die cut. I just got this gorgeous Easter die set from Stampin UP, as I immediately fell in love with the cross. I have seen this layout all over Pinterest and I knew I was going to enjoy it especially with these awesome papers from SU!  The leaf die and sentiment is from Verve. The flower is from MFT.  I ended with some gold Nuvo drops and they really did the trick!   This card really does shine in real life! Trust me! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great Easter.
