High Tide or Low Tide…

Hello, It is time for CAS Week at Just Us Girls and sweet Lisa Elton is our fabulous hostess. What she wants us to do is use a silhouette on our card. Boy did the team and our fabulous guest Claire make some amazing cards that you must check out.

I know you have seen me make this background before but I just love it. I like that the break in the stencil makes the seafoam.

I would like to take a moment and thank Claire for being with us this month at JUGS, we certainly have enjoyed all your fabulous cards. come back and see us when you have time.

Card Details: You know I love to make ink backgrounds, so that is what I have done on today’s card. I used the Watercolor Wash Rectangle stencil from MFT, and straight piece of acetate for my horizon, and some Oxide inks to make my simple background. The stamps I have used are from one of my favorite Stampin Up sets- Hide Tide. A ten-minute card at most, with fun results.

I am also linking up over at Happy Little Stampers for their Anything Goes Stencil Challenge.

I hope to see you in our gallery at Just Us Girls this week! Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Make it Pop

Hello, It’s the last Thursday of the month and time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. Ashwini is our wonderful hostess and she has an interesting and fun topping for us. She chose- Make it Pop, which leaves a load of possibilities for you. For instance; You could use bright colors, large dies, funky images, lots of dimension, and perhaps even an action wobbler. I hope that helps to spark your creativity. I chose bright colors, stripes, and large die cuts for my Make it POP!

Over at Seize the Birthday, we have two additional guests joining us for this topping- Lisa Elton and Deepti Aggarwal, plus our Surprise Party Guest Bonnie Klass. Welcome, ladies! That is quite a line-up of talent in addition to our wonderful team! You must come by and see how everyone was inspired.

Card Details: These hibiscus flowers and green leaves were borrowed from a friend and are Altenew. The striped background was made with a SU stencil. The scalloped rectangles are from MFT. The white leaves are from Stampin Up.

I hope to see you over at Seize the Birthday! Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Greatest Guy by Par

Hello, I am working on cards for the store and made a Father’s Day card for two challenges- TGIF where the Theme is You’re the Man, and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the middle row of Texture, Free, and Stripes/Plaid. You have to look closely but the golf balls have texture and so do the golf clubs. Not to mention the deckled edge of the center white die cut.

Card Details: All products are from Stampin Up-Golf club die set and Golf Clubs stamp set-both retired. The DSP is from MFT. I was inspired by the colors and layout of this card over on Pinterest.

I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day! Nanc’

Happy Birthday

Hello again, I have definitely found my mojo again post-vacation. YAY! Now if I can just get my Vertigo to go away and this terrible toothache taken care of, I will be 100 %! I loved the colors at The Color Throwdown so much that I went ahead and made another entry. I will warn you that I have become obsessed with this Strawberry Patch die set from Spellbinders, so you might be seeing more of it very soon.

Card Details: I thought it would be fun to make some pink strawberries and perhaps even some checkered stems. I love the way it turned out. This time I inked my strawberries with pink dye ink in hopes to get a more vibrant color. I also inked up the leaves as well. The stems are just patterned paper. The polka-dotted background is from Sunny Studio-Frilly Frames and the scalloped frame is from MFT. Remember the Strawberry Patch is on sale right now, for 10.00!

Hello

Hope you are doing well and having a good day! I am back with a card for the latest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I have been itching to break the seal on this Strawberry Patch set that I got about two months ago from Spellbinders when it was on sale. When I purchased it it was 1/2 off and now it’s only $10.00. It was originally $40.00! The Hello greeting that I also used on my card is part of the Outlined Sentiment Die set that is also on sale for 1/2 off right now! I have card details and all Spellbinder’s products linked below.

Bearly Art Glue

Card Details: Whimsy stamps Lattice Die that I cut down to make the vertical strip on the sketch. I used a mix of Inks and Copics to color my strawberries. Didn’t quite get the variation of color I was hoping for but will try again. The lattice die wasn’t quite large enough so this card has been cut down and is slightly smaller than a standard A2 size.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and a great week ahead! Nanc’

Birthday Wishes

Hello, I am back with one final card using some new products from Spellbinders. What I have used once again is the fun new Best Wishes on Your Birthday from the Glimmer Hot Foil Sentiments Collection. There are a total of 6 fun bold sayings in this collection. If you want to see the others, I have all the May arrivals linked for you below. I paired it with a few other Spellbinder products that are also listed below.

This time I used pink foil, and let me just say that I love it as much as I did the mint foil I used a few days ago. What colors of Foil do you have that I should add to my collection? If you missed the mint card you should scroll down as it was one of my favorites for sure. I used a piece of DSP from Pink and Main for my background. Then I had one more pink butterfly sticker from Spellbinders that I thought would work perfectly in my design. I decided last minute to add the flower bloom to give the butterfly something to ground it. A very quick and easy card.

Have a Cozy Birthday

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for Photo/MoodBoard Week at Just Us Girls. Bobby is our wonderful hostess and she has a fun board for us to be inspired by. As soon as I saw her collage of photos I knew which set I was going to pull out to use.

Card Details: All MFT products-DSP, Die sets; Decor and More, Take a Seat, Fundamental Furnishings, Potted Plants and the sentiment is from the Couch Potato set. The small rectangle is also MFT and called Wacky rectangles.

I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will come on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team has done this week…along with our guest Clarie. I certainly was inspired!

Take care, Nanc’

Celebrating You

Hello, I am struggling to get motivated to get back to card making since returning from vacation and I know the vertigo isn’t helping things. So I decided the best way to spark some mojo is to CASE myself. So that is what I have done today. Here is a link to the card I am copying.

I am also playing along with the pretty color combo over at The Color Throwdown. The colors are; Pink, Lime Green, and White. It certainly screams spring or summer, doesn’t it?

Card Details: Stencil is Honey Bee Stamps, the Mums and leaves are from Pink and Main, and the greeting is an oldie from Verve. The long stem coming out of the flowers is from Sizzix…I do believe.

I hope you have a wonderful day and a great weekend ahead. Nanc’

This Card is Full of Hugs

Hello, I am back today with one more card using some of the latest new products from Spellbinders. What I have used today is this great phrase This Card is Full of Hugs from the Glimmer Hot Foil Sentiments Collection. I know it will be getting a lot of use as I love to send out these types of cards. There are a total of 6 fun bold sayings in this collection. If you want to see the others, I have all the May arrivals linked for you below along with the particular supplies I used for this card as well.

The color foil I used for my phrase is in the Satin Variety Pack and the color is mint. Isn’t it so pretty? I decided to use the same color palette for my flowers.

I paired the wonderful phrase with a couple of other Spellbinders products; the floral set is called Glimmer Edge Flowers and is brand new to me. FYI…It is on sale for 1/2 price currently! The background panel is called Geometric Optical and is one of my best past purchases as well.

If you look closely at my card you will notice that the leaves on the flowers have a fine line of foil comparatively to the thick line on the flowers, that is because I chose to foil all the dies that came in the set and not just the ones that were designated for foiling. I love stretching my products and this has opened up so many other possibilities with all the die cuts I own. I know I am usually behind the eight ball when it comes to trying new things, but have you tried foiling other dies that were not intended for that purpose? I can’t wait to do more!

I am going to link up this card with Darnell over at NBUS as two of the three products I used are brand new to me.

I certainly appreciate you stopping by! It has taken me an entire day to write this post as my Vertigo won’t go away and computer work makes it much worse, so I only do a bit at a time. However, the trip was totally worth it!

Take care, Nanc’

Best Wishes on Your Birthday

Second Post of the day! If you are looking for Color Hues, please scroll down!

Hello, I am back from Vacation and feeling a bit out of it this morning, between the time zone difference and the dizziness, I don’t know which way is up. Do you get Vertigo when you fly? I certainly do! And since I was on 6 different planes in the past 10 days, it’s pretty bad this morning. I am a tad behind in sharing some of the latest products from Spellbinders with you all, so let me get right to it!

What I have used today is the fun new Best Wishes on Your Birthday from the Glimmer Hot Foil Sentiments Collection. There are a total of 6 fun bold sayings in this collection. If you want to see the others, I have all the May arrivals linked for you below along with the particular supplies I used for this card above.

For my card, I paired it with other Spellbinder products; the packages from the Holiday Express- Tinsel Time Collection, and the Geometric Flower background was foiled for the card base. I love the look of Foil on Foil, don’t you? I used gold foil on this card but in some places, it appears to be rainbow foil but trust me it is not. The challenges of photography!
