Love You

Hello, I am back today and I am playing along with the TGIF challenge. What they want us to do is use a frame on our card. I have had this frame on my desk for a few weeks and it was leftover from this card I made HERE, and I just couldn’t part with it. Well, today I decided to put it to use. As you can see I decided to use my favorite set from Pink Fresh Studio- called Choose Hope.

Card Details: The outline frame was made with my Miss Ink Stamps Daisy stencil and Oxide Inks. The flower was stenciled with the PFS set called Choose Hope. I chose not to use the outline stamp and go for a soft look.

Hope you find some time today to do whatever brings you Joy! Nanc’

Color Throwdown

Hello, I am back today with another card using the fabulous colors going on over at the Color Throwdown. I am getting in under the wire! Amy is the hostess over there and she is a big fan of Schitt’s Creek and that is where her inspiration photo comes from. Not to mention those cookies look amazing! I love the show, but dear hubby feels differently about it and we always watch TV together so I will have to binge a few more episodes the next time he goes out for the day. As soon as I saw that color pallet, I knew it would work well, as I yet again design a pretend living room. This MFT Card Kit makes me feel like an interior designer, where the sky is the limit! I have made 5 cards so far and really don’t want to stop.

Card Details: Everything you see is from the MFT Card Kit. I used some Oxide inks to make the sky out the window. I used mirrored paper for my baseboard and curtain rod. My favorite parts of this card are the striped curtains and the patterned pillows. So fun! I could live here!

I appreciate you checking in on me. Take care, Nanc’

You are Amazing

Hello, I am back today and this time I am playing along with the Fusion Challenge. I thought the rainbow plates picture was so cool. The only color from the photo that I didn’t use is purple. I love doing the emboss resist technique and it had been a very long time since I had, and thought this would be a perfect challenge to do it for. It was completely inspired by a card by Jennifer McGuire! and hers is so much more elaborate than mine. She makes a see-through window. You should check it out!

Card Details: The Daisy Background stamp is from Simon Says Stamps, the amazing die-cut is from Verve, and the butterflies are a MS-punch. I used Oxide ink to make my background along with the white embossing powder.

I hope your Memorial Day is spent reflective of gratitude even in the times of uncertainty, sadness, and turmoil that we find ourselves in. I am trying so hard to be upbeat, but it’s so hard when so many are suffering. Hubby and I just got back from a long bike ride as we have no other plans, so I guess I will just have to get inky! Take care, Nanc’

More Couch Kit and a Mistake

Hello, I am back this afternoon with another card using the new MFT Couch Kit. This time I am joining the MFT Color Challenge. I am totally enjoying myself, to say the least. If you know me you know that being home and crafting is certainly okay with me on this Holiday weekend, it’s over 90 degrees outside anyways. No thank you!

Where is the mistake, you ask? I decided to make some shiplap for the top of my wall and when I went to adhere the background piece to my card stock base I put it on upside down. Now I guess it looks like white hardwood floors. LOL Next time, I will build my card completely and then adhere the base, and maybe I will have less of a chance of making that mistake again.

The patterned paper in my stash was so perfect for my couch as it has two tones of blue and kraft in the pattern.

I am also going to link my card up over at Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes, along with Addicted to Stamps and More for their Stencil and or Die Cut Challenge.

Card Details: Everything you see is from the MFT Card Kit. I used some Oxide inks to make the sky out the window and I trimmed the window and curtains down as I needed a smaller window in the space I provided.

So far I have shown you 2 out of 4 of the cards I have made with this Kit. Stay tuned!

I hope you are having a great day! Nanc’

I Love You More Than My Plants

Hello, I am back today with a card for the latest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches using the latest Card Kit from My Favorite Things. Let me just say, that it’s the first time that I can recall that moments after my package arrived that I went right to my studio to play. I just could not wait to open up this cute Kit! It is every bit as cute as I thought it was going to be. So take this as a warning, most likely you will be seeing lots of cards using these new products over the next month or so.

I have linked up one of the cards by MFT DT member- Tiffany of Ink Therapy Designs that inticed me to buy this set. She is super talented and sweet to boot!

I am going to link up with Darnell over at NBUS also.

Card Details: Nearly all supplies are from the MFT-Couch Card Kit except for the stitched edging and the Stitched Heart, although they are also made by MFT. The Dewdrops are from Honey Bee Stamps.

I hope however you are spending this long weekend, you are doing something that brings you JOY! Nanc’

Hello

Hi, Today over at Just Us Girls it’s time for Photo Week, and my good friend and teammate Carol Mc has a fun one for us! Don’t worry if you don’t own a bike stamp or die, you can be inspired by the colors, the texture of the basket, flowers, and so forth.

I messed with this card off and on for days, and I am still not happy with the final product. The rest of the team and Carol herself did an incredible job with their cards, so you should definitely go check those out.

Card Details: I used a bit of this and that on this card. The Bike is from Momento, the flowers are from MFT, the greeting is Gina K, tags are from Pink and Main. I have a bit of shimmery cardstock underneath the bike as well.

I hope you have a wonderful day and find some time to be creative! Before I go, I need to say thanks to Deborah Wheeler for being such a fabulous guest this month! We have enjoyed having you!

Take care, Nanc’

I’d Be Otterly Lost…

Hello, I am back today with a couple of cards combining some backgrounds that you have seen me make in the past with some sweet little MFT Otters. I absolutely love making backgrounds and I think these came out great! I will say right away that I didn’t spend much time coloring these cuties so I am aware that they aren’t very good. With that being said, we don’t always have as much time as we like when we sit down to create, now do we?

I am playing along with the Addicted to Stamps and More Die-cuts and Stencil Challenge.

Card Details: MFT Otterly Love You set, fishes stamp is SU, Perfect Pool stencil-MFT and the Wave is from Mayco-called Groovy. I used Prisma colored pencils as my medium-poorly. The Heart was punched out of red sparkle paper.

I hope you have a nice weekend and have some time to sneak away and get inky and escape the sad world we live in, even if only for a little while! Nanc’

Use a Stencil at STB

Hello, I am back today with the next topping at Seize the Birthday and Vicki our host has chosen one that I know is going to be a big hit. It is certainly one I loved right away! You may have noticed that I rarely make a card now without breaking out a stencil or two. LOL

Card Details: Coneflower-Honey Bee Stamps, the leaf stencil background is from Miss Ink Stamps, the greeting is from SU- I do believe. The clear dewdrops are from Honey bee Stamps.

I hope you will break out those stencils, that I know you have, and join us at Seize the Birthday sometime over the next two weeks! The Design Team and our guest, Lorraine did an amazing job!

Take care and I hope you do something today that brings you JOY! Nanc’

To My Beautiful Friend

Hello, I hope your week is off to a decent start. LeAnne is the hostess this week at The Paper Players and as soon as I saw her sketch I wanted to play along. I love Sketches that have three elements on them and a dividing line. I had this fun blue piece of cardstock in my large stockpile of scraps just waiting to be used and it was the start of my color palette for this card. It was run through a crimper some time ago to give it that texture. I know I am the one that did it, but do you think I can find my crimper now? Nope! I sure hope I didn’t get rid of it. I love the look!

Here is a close-up!

I am also going to link my card up over at Happy Little Stampers -Anything Goes with Dies.

Card Details: Playful Peacock set is from MFT. The two stitched flowers are also from MFT, as is the ric-rac die. I used Copics and just a hint of Prismas for my medium. Crimper for texture on the blue cardstock.

Thanks for dropping by, I am off for a craft date with some friends today! Hope you get to do something fun that brings you joy! Nanc’

Thank You / Happy Father’s Day

Hello, I am back today with the next challenge at Just Us Girls. It’s time for Color Week and Bobby is our wonderful hostess. She picked a great color palette that I really enjoyed! I loved it so much that I decided that I would make another.

Card Details: Stamps are all SU and the boats are from Impression Obsession. The wave die is an oldie from MFT. The enamel dots are also SU.

I hope you come on over to Just Us Girls and join us! Take care and I hope you do something creative and or fun today, Nanc’
