Treat Yourself

Today over at Just Us Girls, sweet Carol Mayne is our hostess and it’s Wild Card Week. Every time I type that I always say Rivalry Week in my head! It is a Sports phrase and hubby and I always say using W’s instead of R’s. LOL Just like Elmer Fudd. Anyway, it is probably funnier to us than to you right about now. 🙂

For those unfamiliar with Wild Card Week, it only happens when there are 5 Saturdays in the month, and the challenge is wide open and the hostess can pick anything she wants. Carol has selected Plaid as her challenge. Easy huh? Today, I have another Coffee Cup Gift card holder for you using some fun plaid paper from Pink and Main.

Card Details: GC holder is from Catherine Pooler, the coffee cup is from MFT, the sentiment is from Verve. If you look closely I have a scalloped piece of vellum behind my stitched circle. I sponged the top and bottom of the cup with Oxide Inks.

Before I go I want to say a HUGE thanks to both Chrissie and Stef for being such fabulous guests this month at JUGS! We have certainly enjoyed having you along.

Hope you will join us at Just Us Girls this week and happy creating, Nanc’

Crazy About You!

Hello, It is another dreary day here in the sunshine state and I decided in between some chores and a grueling headache I would try to make a Valentine card or two. I have been missing out on joining along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge the last month or so and as soon as I saw that LeAnne had some Valentine-type squares on her board this week, I knew I wanted to play along. I chose the last row; Any Shape Die Cut, Love Sentiment, and Glitz or Glitter. If you can’t tell the heart is die-cut out of glimmer paper.

Here is card number 2!

Card Details: I finally got my hands on my favorite bear from Ellen Hutson and won’t have to borrow him anymore from my stamping friend. The stencils are from Honey Bee Stamps, the speech bubble is SU, Love die is Gina K. ,the greetings are a mix of Verve and SU. The heart was cut out of sparkly SU paper. The postage die is Hero Arts. Mr. Bear is colored quickly and terribly with Copics that are unfortunately running dry!

Thanks for coming by and please take care, Nanc’

It’s time for an “Inspired By Words” Challenge and here is the beautiful quote they have for us!

For this challenge they are sponsored by Altenew and the Winner will get $15 store credit and an offer to Guest Design with them for a future challenge.

Card Details: This die set is from Sizzix and is called Garden Shed. The greeting is from Verve. The pink tag was embossed with a Cuttlebug EF and then sanded to show the white core of the paper underneath. The brick wall stencil is from MFT and I used Oxide inks. I used mirrored paper for the watering can and the plant shelf.

I sure hope you are having a wonderful day and if you have some time on your hands to be creative you will consider playing along with us at Time Out!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Love-Valentine

Hello, Over at the Global Design Project they have a Valentine theme challenge going on. As soon as I saw the graphic with the little envelope, I remembered I had a SSS envelope die I had yet to use and it even comes with a small card die too. The envelope is really cute as the front of it has a heart window in it. That is where I got my little hearts from to splatter around the card. The tiny black ones are a stamp. The sentiments were masked off to fit and are from SU and Verve. A cute and easy card to throw together on this dreary cold Wednesday!

Since the envelope die-cut was NEW and used for the first time I am also linking up with sweet Darnell over at NBUS!

Card Details are above!

I hope you have a wonderful day, Nanc’

Love You-Valentine

Hello, I am back yet again with another card, and this time it’s a Valentine for my sweet hubby! Hopefully, he won’t decide to visit my blog in the next couple of weeks. This time I am playing along with my sweet friends over at The Paper Players. I knew what stamp set I wanted to use and as soon as I saw Jaydee’s sketch an idea came to mind. Thanks, Jaydee!

Here is a close-up so you can see the glossy accents that I put on the red hearts.

Going to join in the Addicted to Stamps and More Make your Mark Challenge too.

Card Details: The gnome stamp is from Whimsy Stamps, the heart envelope is a stamp from Verve, the love die is from Gina K Designs. I used Prismas and Copics as my medium. I used Glossy accents for my hearts to give them some shine.

I hope you are enjoying your day and finding some time to be creative, Nanc’

Flowers for You

Hello, Today’s card was inspired by the Monochromatic Challenge going on this month at The Flower Challenge. I was looking at my new Choose Hope Stamp/Die and Stencil set from Pink Fresh Studio and thought how could I change this up a bit and make it a bit unexpected. So I thought why not stencil and stamp on Designer Series Paper. I adore the colors and fine text of the Stampin Up paper that I used on this card. Green is one of my favorite colors and I thought this soft pale green was so pretty. I had every intention to use the die but at the last minute, I decided instead to put a simple polka-dotted frame around it using another piece of the same tone of green from the same paper pack.

The card looks prettier in person.

I am also linking up over at Happy Little Stampers for their stencil challenge and at NBUS as the Choose Hope set is brand new to me.

Card Details: Pink Fresh Studio-Choose Hope stamp set, the greeting is also from Pink Fresh Studio-Layering Bouquet, ink was all Oxide Inks, Honey Bee Stamps-Dew drops, Stampin Up-DSP.

Thanks for your visits, they sure brighten my day! Another chilly one here, but today the sun is shining. Take care, Nanc’

Love and Prayers

Hello, Today since the weather is cold and dreary I decided to make a card for the Festive Friday Challenge, plus I was in the need of a Sympathy card. I decided that my Gina K Designs-Little Love Layering Bundle would do the trick. I chose Florals, Green, and Blue for my pick 3.

Card Details: Gina K Designs- Little Love Layering Stencil Bundle, Oxide Inks, and dimensionals.

I hope whatever the weather is where you live or how you decide to spend your day, I hope it’s a good one. For those of you that I know that are hurting right now, just know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care, Nanc’

Snowman Birthday

Hello, Today’s card is for Photo Week over at Just Us Girls where Lisa E. is our fabulous hostess. She picked the cutest and most perfect photo for us that encaptures both winter and Valentine’s Day. My card was made for my BIL that loves the snow and has a birthday right after Christmas.

I am also linking up over at- Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge where it’s Anything Goes with Dies.

Card Details: The snowman is from Pretty Pink Posh, the trees are brand new to me and are MFT, the hills were made with Lawn Fawn dies. The sentiment is from Verve and the speech bubble is from SU. I used Oxide inks for my background and Copics and Prismas to color my trees. I am super happy with my trees and the entire card, actually! This card was inspired by this on here!

Now, head on over to Just Us Girls as the team and our guests have done an INCREDIBLE job with this photo! I know you will be inspired!

Take care, Nanc’

In Love

Hello, Today I am playing along with the challenge over at Time Out where the theme is In Love, which is perfect for this time of year. I was in the need of some wedding cards so that is what I have for you today. I don’t often make wedding cards in red and black but thought why not, and I like the way they turned out. The Love Die from Gina K. Designs is fabulous and does all the work for you. So happy with that gift that was under the tree!

Here they are individually.

Card Details: Gina K-Love die, Wedding Rings, and Heart of Flowers are both from SSS. The small hearts are from a punch. I have used a mix of mirrored and silver, and black glitter paper. The diamond was popped up with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and please take care, Nanc’

Masculine Birthdays

Hello, Today’s cards are for the next topping at Seize the Birthday. Barbara is our fabulous hostess and she has asked us to use embossing on our cards. I have used a Chevron Embossing Folder for both of my cards but that is not the only embossing you can use. It appears that the majority of the DT and our guest Kathy went the easy route and used an EF too.

Here is a close-up so you can see the embossing a bit better! The white Golfball is embossed as well.

Both of these cards were inspired by cards over on Pinterest and not my original design. I really enjoyed putting them together.

Card Details: The majority of the dies and stamps on both cards are from Stampin Up and the sets are called Golf Set and Clubhouse. The Chevron EF is also from Stampin Up.

I hope you will head on over to Seize the Birthday and join us! Nanc’
