You Mean the World to Me…

DSC_0275

STB Anything GoesHello Friends, Happy New Year’s Eve!   It is hard to believe that 2015 has come and gone!  Did you have a nice Christmas? I sure did!  Do you have any Crafting Goals or New Year’s resolutions for the upcoming year?  If so, I would love to hear about them! I have a few.  My personal goal is the ever so popular one, you know…to get in shape. Shocker I know!  We shall see how long that lasts…lol.  My crafting Goals, that I am a little bit more excited about, are to get back to my crafting roots and start scrapbooking again, and to become more comfortable and adventurous when it comes to crafting in general.  I tend to play it safe and not go outside the box.  My generous son gave me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas ( I know….I was delighted too) and my goal is to do other things, with this fascinating tool, besides cutting out cardstock.  That might sound like an attainable goal to you, but you don’t know me all that well…LOL.  Wish Me luck!

Now some card info:  My son turned 23 on the 22nd of this month and this is the card I gave him.  The background is a SU Brick EF, the Sentiments are from Verve, the SON was cut out with Sizzix Alpha dies, and the stars are from MFT.  The D- paper is also SU.

Please won’t you join us over at Seize the Birthday (it’s Anything Goes this time) and get a jump start on this year’s Birthday cards!  The Design Team and our Surprise Party Guest Tanja has done a wonderful job!  Hope to see you in the gallery!

Happy New Year to you and yours!  Nanc’

Nautical Wine Bottle Tag

DSC_0281

Hello Friends, Merry Christmas Eve day!  The Leppek family has been invited over to our son’s girlfriends house tonight for Christmas Eve Dinner.  It’s a first for us, so wish us luck.  Hubby has strict orders to behave himself…LOL  I am taking a plate of handmade goodies with us, but wanted to also take a bottle of wine.  I knew I needed to dress up the bottle somehow,  so I let Pinterest help me out.  I can’t take any credit for the Santa tag idea, the only idea that was mine was to make it a Nautical theme!  The Montalvos are big- time boat lovers and own their own 65 foot sailboat, so I think this just might do the trick!  I love the way it turned out!

ModSquadLogoI am going to link this tag up at the Mod Squad where they have an Anything Goes challenge going on!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!  I truly appreciate each and everyone of you!  You make this hobby of mine so rewarding in so many different ways!

Take care,   Nanc’

Red and White!

DSC_0211

STB ToppingsHello Friends,  It’s time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge, and our topping this time around is to use Red and White on your card and or project.  Because of pure exhaustion this week and the kids being a little off their rocker, I needed to make a CAS card.  I also have some birthday’s coming up at the end of the month, and I needed to get started on pronto.  I literally have 5 cards to my name in my emergency stash and that is way to low!  The card needs little explaining….the stamps are from Verve, the boat is paper pieced with SU- nautical DP and the clouds are a die from Lawn Fawn.  I cut my waves out using my old creative memories cutting template…love that thing!

Oh by the way…my team and Surprise Guest Tanja did an incredible job this week! Come and check it out!

Have a wonderful day!  Nanc’

Still time for more Christmas!

DSC_0190

115fHello Friends,  I have another Christmas card to share with you today!  Talk about a super quick, easy, and post office friendly card…this one is the ticket!  I will be linking it up over at Sunday Stamps where they have this beautiful color scheme and over at Virginia’s View where they have asked us to get out the glitter this month!  Well, that is easy since glitter and Christmas go hand in hand! My work station in my studio will probably be sparkling with the remnants of Christmas for the next few months. LOL

V. V. Challenge #21 Logo

Card details: The papers are SU, the bow is from my school, the button is from MFT and the sentiment is also SU. I think the Victorian border on my DP really makes this card shine, that was done with my Fiskars paper-cutter that I couldn’t live without.

Hope you are enjoying your day!  I’ll be back early this week for another card or two for you!  Take care, Nancy

Sequins @ JUGS!

DSC_0191

Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 5.10.32 PMHello Friends,  Are you swept up in the Holiday rush, or are you done with your shopping and decorating?  Well, I just finished my tree last night and this weekend I hope to start shopping.  The Christmas cards went out a week early this year, so that was a wonderful feeling.  We, hubby and I, collectively gave out 206 cards this year.  I know, what your thinking we are Cray Cray!  This tradition has been going on for 29 years and the list keeps growing.  At this time in our life we wouldn’t have it any other way, however come retirement we may need to scale it way back! I will share his card and the letter that we sent out this year at another time!  The letter only goes to people who we don’t see or talk to on social media, so if you didn’t receive on in your card that is why.   Time to talk up my card.  This card is one that I made several of for obvious reasons…it’s simple, quick and easy to mail. Each one was a bit different in their own special way.  This die cut is something I have at my school..lucky me.  The sentiment is from SU and heat embossed and the center button on the bow is from MFT.

Please come on over to Just Us Girls and join us…I know you have some sequins lying around that you can bling up a card with!

I hope no matter what stage you are in your Holiday rush..I hope you enjoy every moment of it.  Take care, Nancy

Merry and Blue!

DSC_0058

ModSquadLogoHello Friends,  Hope you are doing well and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the Holidays approaching!  Toady’s card is for two challenges.  First, my dear friend and Birthday Sister, as we lovingly refer to one another, is hosting this week over at Mod Squad and my card works in her challenge perfectly.  Well, I always want to play along, but time is not always on our side, now is it?  I used 5 of the 9 ingredient for my card! My card also is being linked up over at the Fusion Card Challenge where they have this beautiful blue Christmas tree for their photo inspiration.  I am using the photo not the sketch.Sketch09

As promised, when I showed you my green speckled Christmas card a few weeks ago, I mentioned I would be posting the blue one at a later date.  I really love this one the most!  Even the photo doesn’t quite do this card justice, it’s really sparkly and pretty in real life.

I am going to link you back to my other card as to save time if you have any questions on how I did this one.  You can find it HERE!  I so appreciate you taking the time to comment and stop by, it means the world to me!  Enjoy!  Nancy’  P.S.  I have 7 more cards to make…I can see the finish line! WoooHoooooo!   Quick question for you!!  Do you finish the inside of you Christmas cards when you are making a lot…or do you do it later?  Just Curious! Nanc’

Word Week- Merry

DSC_0039

Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 4.58.24 PMHello Friends,  It’s time for a new challenge over at Just Us Girls and this week it’s word week and our word is MERRY!  How easy is that, right?   Today’s card came together rather quickly except for fussy cutting out that cute little Rudolph. The paper he was cut from is by Stampin Up and the embossing folder is also.  The sentiment is something I picked up at Michaels, I do believe.

I hope you have a great weekend, I am going to try and get all my Christmas Cards done…it’s a long shot, but I sure am going to give it my best effort!  Wish me luck!  If you are making Christmas cards like me, please consider linking it up over at JUGS and join us!  BTW, we have no Guest Designer with us this month and are going to be featuring two in January instead!  Take care and enjoy your day,  Nanc’

Holiday Stamp for Birthday!

DSC_0077

STB ToppingsHello Friends, I have to make it short and sweet today as I am still playing catch up from my week in Seattle.  It’s time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and our topping this time around is to use a Holiday stamp to make a Birthday card.  A friend of mine cut out these awesome die cuts for a few of her friends and I at a card party and this is the layout I came up with. This type of card is called a Side Step card and I have linked up a tutorial that we all used here!   I added the Birthday Sentiment from SU, as I knew this challenge was coming up, hope it doesn’t look out of place!

Hope you come on over to Seize the Birthday and join us and while your there help us welcome our latest Surprise Party Guest Tanja!  Here is a link to her wonderful blog Little Art College.  Welcome Tanja….so glad to have you with us the next couple of months!

See you over at STB! Nanc’

Colour Me

DSC_0066

CMCC Full Graphics-023-2Hello Friends,  The focus for today’s card was inspired by the colors for this week’s challenge over at Colour Me, where I am fortunate enough to be a Featured Designer for their 100th Challenge.  With that said, I have to also add that they have decided to shut down Colour Me after this challenge. 😦  As I was so very sad to hear this news, as I do enjoy color challenges very much and was looking forward to being with them the entire month of December, I do understand that running a blog is a FULL- time commitment! With that said, I am so thrilled to be asked by Brenda to design along with this talented team for their last challenge.  Thanks again Brenda for the invite, I really appreciate it!  The colors for this last challenge our Soft Sky and of course neutrals are always welcome.

CTS_150I paired my card up with the great Sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch….that is if they don’t mind me adding my sentiment to the bottom instead of the top. Fingers crossed!

A bit of card info:  The stamp set I used for the ornaments is from Verve and is called Holly Jolly Christmas. The sentiment is from Stampin UP.  The Blue and White card stock is also Stampin UP, except for the shiny silver that is bordering the ornaments.  That is a fun piece of paper I picked up in Lakeland at a Scrapbook store.  It’s so pretty!!!  I heat embossed the ornaments with silver …obviously.  LOL  I was real happy with how this card came together….in-fact I maybe making a few more!  So stay tuned!

Let’s show Colour Me some love shall we, and join them for their last challenge!  Take care, Nanc’
