Inlay Die Cutting

Hello,  I am the hostess this week at Just Us Girls and it’s Wild Card Week and that means I can choose anything at all. I decided upon Inlay Diecuts.  They are so fun and simple to do and usually have fabulous results.  The store where I sell my cards was asking for some unisex baby cards and luckily I have had this card done for quite some time as crafting is hard to squeeze in these days. I absolutely adore this MFT baby die cut set!  You must head on over to Just Us Girls and check out the rest on my team’s cards.  They are all amazing and oh so different.

I would also like to thank Betty Jacobsen for being with us this month.  Each one of her cards were so terrific!

I hope you have a great day, Nanc’

Happy Birthday to YOU!

Hello,  Here is the newest topping and card for Seize the Birthday! Colleen has asked us to make the sentiment the focal point of the card.  I am not 100 % in love with my card and I was going to try again, but there was no time in my busy life these days.  I was just sponging away and probably worrying about things when suddenly I realized I made one of the leaves pink and decided to just roll with it.  I promise you if you hop on over to Seize the Birthday, my teammates did a far better job than I.

Before I go, I need to thank Joyce for being such a fabulous guest these past few months.  We have really enjoyed all of your creations and hope you will continue to grace us with your fabulous work in our gallery from time to time!!

Card Details: My new Peony Stencil for SSS and the Sentiment is also SSS and is from the You Matter stamp set.  A bow and some rhinestones to finish it off.

Have a creatively wonderful day, Nanc’

Thinking of you…

Hello, It’s Photo Week at Just Us Girls and we have a great underwater photo to inspire you!  I had 1/4 of this fun Designer paper left that I have been hoarding for years and thought this was the perfect time to finish it off. I knew the paper would work well with the Nautical Stampin Up stamp set.  The sentiment, however, is from Verve.  It was fun to make the two-toned fishes.  Not sure you can tell but on the bottom of the card I have used a small circle embossing folder for some added texture.  I have also used clear Nuvo drops.  There is a lot of dimension on this card as well.  Come on over to Just Us Girls and see how the rest of my teammates were inspired!

Happy creating, Nanc’

Christmas Kickstart

Hello,  I found a new challenge site to play along with. It’s called Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  It’s hard to think about Christmas cards in February but it’s good to start sometime. It’s exceptionally hard when the temps are supposed to reach 83 today.  I like warm, but seriously!  This card may seem familiar, as I posted a card very similar to this one a few months back.

Card details: Poinsettias are from Memory Box, the white floral cover plate was from a friend, and the sentiment is Verve.

Hope you have a creative day, Nanc’

Love…U!

Hello, I thought a little crafting would do me some good today and I found the perfect challenge to play along with.  My dad fell last weekend and it’s been a rollercoaster week of emotion with very little sleep.  I am pleased to have finally gotten him out of the hospital (a terrible experience this time) and back at a Rehab facility that I trust.  So things are looking up.

Over at Inspire. Create. Challenges they have a blank canvas as their sketch so the sky’s the limit.  I didn’t feel like creating something from scratch so I decided to CASE a favorite card of mine.  Here you can find my first card!

I am also linking this card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s Anything Goes.

Card Details: Here is a bit about my card!  The Flower and U are from Verve and some of my very first stamps/dies! The leaves are a punch from SU and then embossed for added texture. The flowers are MFT and were colored using the smooshing technique and oxide inks. The heart die is also from MFT, the love die is from Neat and Tangled.  The background was lightly stenciled with an MFT die.

Another day off tomorrow, which is great, as we have a meeting at the Rehab facility in the morning and who knows maybe a little shopping after that!  I already did a little stamp shopping (shhhhhh…don’t tell the mister.)  Shopping always makes me happy! LOL

Take care, Nanc’

Happy Birthday-White Space

Hello,  Today over at Seize the Birthday our topping starting is Show me your White Space. Remember that white space doesn’t have to be white like I did myself, but what it really refers to is leaving a good portion of your card open and uncluttered.  Barbara has selected our topping and the DT and our guest did some really amazing cards.  So you must come by and check them out.

Card details: Butterfly is Pretty Pink Posh, the sentiment is Stampin Up, and a bit of colored pencil and Oxide inks.

Have a very creative day, Nanc’

You Made Me Smile

hello,  The word started this week at Just Us Girls is stripes! Easy Peasy huh?  For my card, I have used a mix of MFT- Stitched Flowers, Spellbinders-scalloped circle, a SU-stitched circle,  and a Verve- sentiment.  Oh, and the Designer paper is from DCWV.

I hope you have a very creative day and consider stopping by JUGS and joining us! Nanc’
