This was passed to me from a very talented fellow blogger named Diana Queen. Thanks so much for thinking of me, I was a real excited to be selected and to join in and play along!   If you get a chance, please visit Diana’s blog and leave her some happy thoughts.

One of the rules for this award is to tell you 10 things about myself.

2. I have an only child, but not by choice, and he is truly amazing and a gift from god!

3. We have a precious Dachshund named Muffy.

4. My hubby and I both work in the school system which is really great because we have time off together.

5. I have lived on the west coast of Florida for almost my entire life.

6. My son is Drum major in his Highschool band and my DH and are a very involved parents (and we love it).

7. I started scrapbooking about 10+ years ago and still hope to get back to those photos soon, but got hooked on stamping and      making cards thanks to a friend of mine named Jill.

8.  I love to bake but am not a very good cook.

9. I love to be home with my family more than anything.

10. I feel very blessed to be able to do things such as this, when there is so much hurt and turmoil in the world!

Baby Card

Happy Friday!

I made this card for a fellow-coworker and friend at my job who just found out recently she is having a Baby Girl. The digi image I accidently came across as a fund raiser for a fellow stamper who had just lost her 3 year old son. The story touched my heart,so I downloaded the image to help the family pay for a Memorial Tree for young Henry.  Here is the link if you would like to have this adorable image!
I can’t imagine losing my son at all, much less at such a young age! My heart goes out to the entire family!
Anyways, have a wonderful weekend and thanks for looking,

Valentine Card!

I made this card to give to a very dear friend of mine, not necessarily for Valentine’s Day, but as a thank you for all her hard work and dedication she gives to my son.  He loves this wonderful lady and her family and she has taught him so much, and I am so grateful!

This card was inspired from a challenge over at Stamp TV.

Happy Hump Day!

Time to be creative!

Hi there!  What a great weekend we had here!  Got to see Avatar in 3d- which was very cool!  Got the usual house work done, well most of it! LOL   And yesterday, I also managed a little bit of me time- which means stamping time!  Today we were back at the county fair watching Tyler perform with the Ballroom Club for an encore performance from last weekends 1st place win.  Now, I am watching football with hubby and my dad, while making this post.  Enough about me, on to the card I made!
The card was a challenge over at stamp TV.

Have a great week,

Brrrr….

Is this Florida or am I dreaming?  The weather has been the coldest I can remember. When I woke up this morning  it was 28 outside.  The great thing is it’s given me a reason to stay in and stamp, which I have really enjoyed!!   Another great thing is my DH made me a light box out of foam core board to help me take better photos of my cards.  I got the idea from a very talented fellow stamper named Sue who also lives her in Florida.  Check out her blog here! Now the card I am posting was inspired by the Mojo Monday Challenge, I altered the design just a tad- I hope it doesn’t disqualify me.  I have been wanting to do another challenge over there for quite some time.

Thanks for looking!

Hope you have a great evening wherever you are and I hope to be back soon with another post.

Remember to stamp or scrap your heart cause if you don’t do it… who else will,

Traditions

I realize Christmas is over, but I was messing with my settings on my blog today to get my photos to be a appropriate size and needed to post to see if it worked.  This adorable ornament was a gift from my son to my hubby and myself this Christmas.  The cool thing about him is that Tyler bought him in London last Christmas and saved it to give to us this year.  It has become our family tradition to buy an ornament for each other, that might not sound that special to you, but it means more to us than you realize. After Christmas each one of our ornaments gets put in a special box and labeled from whom and to whom and what year it was received.   If we ever have the need to pack the house for a hurricane it is on the top of the evacuation list of things to grab!  NOT KIDDING!!

Sorry for the long post just wanted to share this tradition and hope to inspire someone else to start a family tradition too!

Enjoy the rest of your Holiday,
