Hello, I hope you are having a great day and you had a nice Thanksgiving and weekend too. My son, DIL, and Grand Furbabies are here so life is perfect. All this momma needs for the Holidays is to have her family under the same roof and she is happy. We are so very lucky that they will be in town through Christmas as they are able to work remotely.
Today I am back with a card that was so much fun to make and was inspired by the talented Rachel Alvarado. You can find her card on this post HERE, on the Spellbinder’s Website. What do you think of my choice of orange for a non-traditional Christmas color? I like it more than I thought I would. Here is a close-up of my cute little Gingerbread people.
Card Details: I did not have the Santa’s Festive Crew Collection set from the October release that has the exact dies to make the Gingerbread girls. However, I looked at my Festive Ornaments Set and my Whimsical Winter Critter Collections and I knew I could make it work. That is what is so great about mixing Spellbinder’s products, they are always so compatible. The background was sponged with Oxide Inks and then splattered with white paint. I also sponged the Gingerbread girls and rosy-upped their cheeks with chalk to give them some depth and personality. Next, it was time to die-cut the rest of the pieces and assemble them. The cute greeting comes from the Dancin’ Christmas Sentiments. I used some Foam Squares for depth. I drew their smiles with a pencil.
I am playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I played with the diagonal row of People/Critters, Free, and DSP.
