Not stamping…

I wanted to make a post today to tell you why I haven’t been doing any stamping lately.  My DH, Tyler and I are re-doing the studio in our home and making it strictly my scraproom!!! I am soooo excited!!!  It’s not going to be an overnight transformation, cause I don’t have that kind of money, but as soon as it’s close to done I will post some photos!!  So far we have built an adorable valance to go over my window which I painted (wait till you see it), painted the walls and the base board, and installed nice white shelves on the walls.  I have cleaned out all the cabinets and re-organized.  Now it’s off to Ikea tomorrow to figure out what kind of work station to get and to pick up some gadgets and storage.

Gotta Love Summer!

Have a great day!

Thanks…

I seem to always be in the need for Thank You cards, so here is a real simple one I made the other day, from the same color pallette as some of my previous cards.  If you go to the trouble to find the papers that coordinate, why not make more than one card right???

Have a wonderful day!
Supplies:

Cardstock: S-up

Paper: MM and scrap

Ink: Blue

Acc: ribbon, pop dots, jems, flower punch

Happy Birthday…

Although my card looks nothing like the inspiration photo that you will see, at least it got my Mojo up and running!  I have been in quite a slump lately!  I hope my luck changes from here on out!  The challenge is over at Stamp TV.

It also fits a late challenge for Birthday cards over at Clearly i Stamp.

This photo makes you want to go stay at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast!

Happy Father’s Day…

Just a quick post to show you the card I made for my dad for Father’s Day. On the inside it says,” Traeasure the Moments is what I do especially when I spend time with you!”  That statement is so true!! I don’t take for granted the time I spend with my father, we don’t have to go anywhere or do anything . The times I will cherish the most is when he drops by my house and we sit and talk about the world’s problems, politics and what ever else is on his mind.   Since my mother passed away many years ago we have become very close  and for that I am grateful!  I sure love you DAD!

The stamp set I am showcasing is called Timeless Treasures from Gina K Designs and the artist is Theresa Momber!

Have a wonderful day!

Cardstock: Gina K Designs

Stamps: Timeless Treasures at Gina K Designs

Colored Pencil…

I know it’s been awhile since I posted, but I am recovering from Gallbladder surgery. Today has been the turning point and this is the best I have felt!! YEAH!!  It hasn’t even been a week yet, so things are looking up!!  Anyhoo as my mom always said! 😉 The card I am posting today is for a Blast from the Past challenge over at StampTV, and it was perfect for me because it gave me a chance to sit and color, which sitting is just what the Dr. ordered. The flower image is from a very talented designer named Asela Hopkins.

So dust off those colored pencils {I hope you can find them}, and join me!

Have a fantabulous day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Gina K, CM, S-UP, MM
Stamps: Friendships Garden by Asela and other
Technique: Colored Pencil and OMS
Acc: Ribbon, rhinestones, pop dots

Smile…

Smile…..That’s what all the Graduates of Manatee High School’s Class of 2010 are doing right about now!!   Hubby and I attended the Ceremony last night and it was a great evening watching some of the kids that we either taught or have known for a very long time graduate!  We were also there to help out with the band as usual! 🙂  The weather was a little on the warm side, but at least it didn’t rain!  As I was sitting there watching and listening to the singing, speeches, and the names being read,  I realized that in a blink of and eye it will be 2011 and I will be there as a parent of a graduate!!  I sure hope this last year goes very, very slow!  I’m not sure I will ever be ready for Tyler to go off to college, but if he is ready which I think he will be, that means I did something right!!

Inside the card reads….the best is yet to be!

Now I’m off to two Graduation parties!

Have a great week and enjoy the time you have with your children,

Supplies:

Cardstock: Gina K

Paper: Basic Gray and Scrap

Stamps: Michael’s and S-UP

The best is yet to be….

The best is yet to be…..I thought that was a nice statement for a non-traditional Graduation Card.  What a week!  So glad it’s all behind me now!  Three more days of school and then its SUMMER!!!  Already had my summer cold, so that’s out of the way!  Hope your weekend will be a fabulous one!  Mine is suppose to be quiet and I’m okay with that!!  Graduation weekend is not a bad weekend to be off the roads.  Be safe!!

Enjoy and thanks for looking, it always makes my day!
