Celebrate the Best Day Ever

Hi, My card for the latest Sketch Challenge at The Paper Players, hosted by the lovely Anne Marie, is a very quick one where the DSP does all the work! I was still in a bit of a time crunch this week so I unfortunately didn’t have much time to be overly creative. We all have weeks like that, and I think it’s called LIFE.

I also just noticed that my panels are centered and they shouldn’t be! UGH!

Card Details: The Greeting and rectangle die are from SU, the embossed love heart that embosses the word while cutting out the heart is a Recollections die that I have had for eons and never used. The stitched heart is from MFT. The DSP is from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Hi

Hello, Happy Saturday! It’s Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki has a pretty one for us! It’s all about Spring Time!

When I sat down to make my card I was trying to mimic the graphic as I loved the florals in the opposite corners so much. I had all my mix of flowers and leaves die-cut and couldn’t seem to get the placement right, so I ended up wrapping them in a a piece of vellum instead. I don’t own a die-cut I just messed around with some copy paper and made myself a pattern. Still not 100 % satisfied but it had to do. The Hi die-cut letters are new to me and they are from Pink Fresh Studio and are called Kelly Alpha.

I am also going to be linking up over at Time Out Challenges where the challenge is inspired by words. Nothing says April or Spring more than a bouquet of flowers that came from a garden.

We have to say farewell to Shawna, as today is her last post with us! We have really enjoyed having you on board.

Take care and I hope to see you all at Just Us Girls this week showing off your Spring! Nanc’

Some Bunny Loves You

Is it a Balloon or is it really a giant heart patterned Lolli-pop? LOL

Hello, I am back today with another sweet bunny card using my relatively new to-me stamp set from Avery Elle called Some Bunny. I made this card with three challenges in mind. First, there is this great mood board over at Simon Say Stamps that started today at that sweet bunny just spoke to me, Next the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the left column of; Bunny, Pastel Colors, and Dies. And last but certainly not least, for Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge.

Card Details: Stamps are from Avery Elle- Some Bunny. I inked my background with Oxide Inks. I made a quick hill stencil with a sheet of acetate. I colored my bunny with Copics. The hearts in the lollipop are stenciled with white ink and the stencil is from Honey Bee Stamps. I used Nuvo drops in the center of my floating hearts.

I appreciate you stopping by! I hope your day is spent just the way you like it! Take care, Nanc’

Mother’s Day

I hope all is well with you! Today I am playing along with the CAS Colours & Sketches color challenge that is nearly about to end and Addicted to Stamps and More’s Make your Mark. As soon as I saw the spring colors of yellow and green I knew I wanted to color some flowers. I have been trying to use up some of the images that are stamped and ready to go and that is where I found this lovely sunflower. The problem is, I have had it for so long and it was gifted to me by a friend, I have no idea whose it is. Sorry about that. Plus when I started coloring it with my Prismas, I realized it wasn’t stamped on colored pencil-friendly paper. So that is why the leaves look like they do. The more I colored it the more the look kinda grew on me. I like the softness and the tips being white. What do you think?

Some card details: DSP- SU, the image is a mystery, the greeting is also SU, the dies are part Spellbinders, SU, and MFT, clear dew drops from Honey Bee Stamps. If you don’t have them you should!

I hope you have a great start to your week! I will be back tomorrow or later today with more cards!

Take care, Nanc’

Congrats -Baby

Hello, It’s Sunday and time for our CAS challenge at The Paper Players. Ann wants us to bring out the Animals this time around. I was needing to restock the baby cards and figured this baby stork would be perfect for this challenge. I really enjoyed putting this card together. It has a little of everything; stamping, stenciling, paper piecing, and die-cutting.

Couldn’t leave out the baby girls!

Card Details: Stork, baby bundle and Congrats are from Impression Obsession. The heart clouds were masked and sponged with an MFT cloud stencil using Oxide Inks.

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello, I am hosting our Color Week at Just Us Girls and the colors I have chosen are Yellow, Dark Green, and Grey. Unfortunately, I have been needing a ton of sympathy cards lately. It has been a really hard few months for some of our dearest friends and relatives. And this morning as I write this post, I just found out I need another one. I love the way this turned out so I think I will just repeat this card later today for a dear colleague that lost her daughter to cancer. So much sorrow in the world right now.

Card Details: Most all of the dies are from SU, the stenciled background is called Groovy-I think! The greeting is from Verve.

I would love to see you join us at Just Us Girls this week! Take care, Nanc’

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hi, I am back again today for a second post as I wanted to take part in Amy’s Spring/ Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop that started today! The amount of work that she puts into these events is unbelievable! You must check out all the amazing sponsors and prizes she has too. Way to go Amy Tsuruta!

I chose to use one of my favorite sets from the Greetery for this card. The greeting is from Gina K Designs. I used a few other things from my bits and boxes for some accents. I just love the spoon done in mirrored paper.

I hope to be back with another card or two before the deadline!

In other news…Hubby got his first COVID shot today! Woohooo!!! We were back home in about an hour. What a well run site!!! We arrived at 11 and he had his shot by 11:08. The drive was 25 minutes. Take care, Nanc’

Three of a Kind

Hello, I have a very CAS card for you today! I borrowed this old Easter SU set from a friend and found the perfect challenge to use with it early this morning. When you get up at the crack of darkness, you have plenty of time to be creative. LOL. The coloring with Prismas was very quick and nothing to be impressed with.

I am linking this up over at Happy Little Stampers- CAS- Three of a Kind.

Card Details: Egg flowers-Stampin Up, Greeting-Papertrey Ink, the flower pots are Sizzix, and the scalloped rectangles are MFT.

I hope you have a wonderful day! I will be back tomorrow with a card for JUGS where I am hostess! Nanc’

Sketch Challenge at STB

Hello, I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Things are busy here, but that is okay as it keeps me out of trouble. Today over at Seize the Birthday we have a new challenge starting. Glenda has a sketch for us this time around. I love sketch challenges, so I was excited until it came to making my card. The thought in my head didn’t transfer to paper very well. When I was finished I had no time to try again, so there you have it. Below is the sketch!

Card Details: The beautiful Rose cover plate is from Taylored Expressions. The butterflies are Pretty Pink Posh and the rest are, this in that from my bits and boxes drawers. My go too greeting is from Verve.

Before I go I would like to thank Carol for being such a fabulous guest with us the past two months. I have enjoyed having you with us immensely as your creativity has no end!

Hope you will run on over to Seize the Birthday and check out what the Design team and Carol did with the sketch., and while you are there, I hope you will consider joining us.

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’
