Hello

Hope you are doing well and having a good day! I am back with a card for the latest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I have been itching to break the seal on this Strawberry Patch set that I got about two months ago from Spellbinders when it was on sale. When I purchased it it was 1/2 off and now it’s only $10.00. It was originally $40.00! The Hello greeting that I also used on my card is part of the Outlined Sentiment Die set that is also on sale for 1/2 off right now! I have card details and all Spellbinder’s products linked below.

Bearly Art Glue

Card Details: Whimsy stamps Lattice Die that I cut down to make the vertical strip on the sketch. I used a mix of Inks and Copics to color my strawberries. Didn’t quite get the variation of color I was hoping for but will try again. The lattice die wasn’t quite large enough so this card has been cut down and is slightly smaller than a standard A2 size.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and a great week ahead! Nanc’

Rawr…Is Hello in Monster

Rawr…It’s the middle of the month and time for our next Hues of Colors at Color Hues. I am a bit jet lagged as I just returned from a ten-day trip in California and Hawaii, so I am going to get right to it!

Julie B is our wonderful hostess and I absolutely enjoyed working with her color combo. Thanks, Julie! I decided it had been a while since I made a scene with my MFT dies, so that is what I did. When I first started putting this card together, I had no intention of my house being occupied by a cute little monster, but I love how it turned out.

I am going to add my card over at Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.

Card Details: MFT- 4 sets; Picture Window, Fundamental Furnishings, Take a Seat, and Potted Plants. The monster is from Your Next Stamp and so is the sentiment. I used a bit of Copics and Prismas to color the monster and made a soft cloud sky behind my window using MFT’s cloud stencil.

Now, I certainly hope you will head on over to Color Hues and check out what my fabulous teammates and guest Joanne James have done with these hues of colors, and then play along. I was certainly inspired by all of their creations.

Take care, Nanc’

Hello

Hi, I hope you are doing well. For today’s card, I am playing with the lovely color challenge at The Color Throwdown. As soon as I saw that pretty color combo, I knew I would do everything I could to find the time to play along.

After seeing this picture, my first thought was lemons, so I pulled out my Spellbinder’s Lemon Zest set and went to work. By the way, it’s on Sale right now over on the website for 1/2 OFF. I paired that with the Spellbinder’s Outlined Sentiments and my favorite Flower Frenzy 3D EF. I used some Oxide Distress Inks to give all my dies a little bit of depth. The hello is mirrored-gold paper. I have also used some foam dimensionals too.

I certainly appreciate you stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow with my JUGS card for Color Week. Nanc’

A Little Message to say-Hello

Hello– I am back today with my very first card using foiling…You can gasp, it’s okay! I just bought my Glimmer Hot Foil system from Spellbinders and today is the first chance I have had to use it. I have never been the type of person to jump on any type of trend until I am sure it’s going to stick around for a while, and from the looks of things, foiling isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Beginner’s Luck-After I peeled back the foil on my very first attempt and it came out so well, I was hooked immediately. I then proceeded to kick myself for waiting so long. My hubby would say…”Better Nate than Lever.” LOL, He is always Mr. funny/goofy guy!

The Geometric Flower Background looks fabulous in gold foil, don’t you think? There is also a layering stencil set for easy coloring, which was quickly added to my Christmas list this morning. The rest of this card was also made with Spellbinder’s products and I have them linked for you below. The Sealed Glimmer Sentiments are also new to me and are just fabulous and come with 11 fantastic sayings.

Glimmer Hot Foil System

Card Details: After I foiled the Geometric background I decided to cut it into four quadrants for added interest. Next, I cut out the rest of the dies (Linked above) with white and gold paper and foiled my greeting. I had not intended on putting the small Fluted Rectangle black die-cut as part of my layout, but I felt there was too much white, and the flowers and sentiment needed to be grounded. If you look closely I doubled the small flowers with gold paper and I like how that turned out. I have dimensionals on the round greeting for extra height and to hide the stems of my flowers. The Hello is from the Outlined Sentiments (one of my favorite sets) and is cut out of gold and black paper.

If you haven’t tried foiling I definitely think you should add it to your Christmas List. I have linked up all the fun products from Spellbinders that I used above.

In other news…My father has been under hospice care since the day after Thanksgiving. Losing my mom to cancer when I was 30 was hard enough, and we took care of her at home until the end, but this is ten times worse when there is severe dementia involved. It’s a huge rollercoaster of emotions as every day is different with a new battle in front of us. He could last another week, a month, or longer, we just don’t know. It is heart-wrenching to see him suffer any longer.

I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS.

It may have taken me a week to make a card and write this post, but it’s good for me to get lost in something else, even if it’s just for a little while.

Take care, Nanc’

Hello

Hi, I hope you are having a good week so far. Today’s card has been waiting in the wings as I wanted to wait till the die set got re-released over at Spellbinders. Initially, it was the August Small Die of the Month Club but now it’s back for purchase for all. It is called Outlined Sentiments but also has darling florals and leaves in the set as well. This set was not gifted to me, I purchased it. I have it pictured below along with affiliate links.

Outlined Sentiments

Classic Scalloped Circles

Spellbinders 6

Card Details: I used strips of paper for my background and built my card from there. I thought if I outlined the flowers and leaves just a little with a gold pen, it would tie in with the sentiment and floral centers perfectly. I used vellum as my shadow on the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day and you get to get a little crafty, Nanc’

Hello

Hi, Hope you are doing well! I am back showcasing Spellbinder’s newest dies once again called Enchanted Garden in the Winter Tales Collection. I paired it with other Spellbinder products to make a Hello card. The Embossing folder is brand new to me and called Loops. The Hello die is from August’s small die of the month club and is such a great set, that I have been really enjoying. It will be released once again very soon.

A few more card details: The polka dot stripe is Washi tape. The red strip was made with my victorian edge die Fisker’s trimmer that is as old as the hills. The silver dots are made from the Spellbinders Holly die in the Noel set.

If you want to see the entire collection plus the items I used to make this card, I have affiliate links below.

Hello

Hello, When I got back from vacation I had the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month called Outlined Sentiments waiting for me. So on Wednesday, I decided it was time to get back in the studio and get creative again. I don’t know about you, but after a vacation, it always takes me a week or so to get back in the groove. I was under the weather at the end of my vacation (it started on my birthday-bummer) so that didn’t help. I thought for sure it was Covid but I tested negative a few times, so that was good. I feel much better now. In addition, I am always a bit sad about leaving my son and daughter-in-law after we’ve had so much fun together. My son wants us to move to California. I wish that was possible, but highly unlikely unless I win or even start playing the lottery. LOL Although, I guess never say never!

For my CAS card, I am playing along with two of my favorite challenges; Freshly Made and The Paper Players.

Card details: Spellbinders small die of the month-Outlined Sentiments. I also used a small piece from a cover plate called Lattice from Whimsy Stamps to make my square center to go with the sketch.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have or have had a wonderful day, Nanc’

Hello-Spellbinders

Hi, I am back today as promised, with another card using that same color palette from yesterday. This time I am using this fabulous new Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders, called Day at the Beach. I am sure you are not surprised that this Florida girl had to add this to her collection! It is as cute as it can be and fun to put together.

I did have to trim the card down a half inch as I messed up the sides of the water while stenciling.

Here is a close-up.

Supplies Used: Some with Affiliate Links

Small Die of the Month

Platinum 6

MFT- Make Waves Stencil

Miss Ink Stamps-Perfect Plaid

Oxide Inks: Abandoned Coral and Peacock Feathers

A Few Card Details: In order to make my background I used a straight edge of acetate and some masking to blend the sky. In order to make the rippled edge of the sand, I used a piece of ripped paper. The waves were added last with a stencil. I used a stencil from Miss Ink Stamps to make my bathing suit pattern. I inked the flip-flops, and I have dimensionals for height and a few decorative rhinestones.

I am linking up with Darnel over at NBUS. and Simon Says Stamps, make your own background.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day and or week ahead! Nanc’

CAS-Hello

I have a very quick card for you today that is for the CAS One Layer Challenge going on over at The Paper Players. One-layer cards aren’t easy for me as I always feel like they are missing something. You all know that I love my Oxide Inks but sometimes the black ink doesn’t get as crisp as I would like it to. I should have restamped this, but ended up taking it off my Misti too soon.

Card Details: Made myself a stencil for my sunset and used Oxide Inks for blending. The palm tree stamp is from Impression Obsession and the Hello is from Verve.

I hope whatever you do today you have a chance to get inky! Nanc’
