You’re So Sweet

Hello friends, The temps are already extremely warm here in the sunshine state, so I am back with something to cool me down. I am using this fantastic Ice Cream Sundae set by Pixi Dust Designs. I had not used all the dies on my previous cards using this set so today’s card shows the pretty dish that comes in this set, it also comes with a short one as well.

They also have this darling Ice Cream Die set on sale this week. I have it pictured below.

Card Details: I found this pretty polka-dotted paper from Pink and Main and thought it would work well with my design. I also used some clear Nuvo drops to make my cherry shine. The strip embossing folder with the hearts is from Stampin Up. The rectangle stitched scalloped die is from MFT. The sentiment is also from MFT from the set Sweet Celebrations. I cut it out three times to give it some depth.

Do you like Sprinkles on your ice cream? I sure do! Or do you prefer it dipped in Chocolate? Oh, and I am certainly Team Cherries too!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to use Affiliate links for different companies and if you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission. I certainly would appreciate any of your support! Thank you!

Thanks or Thanksgiving

Hello, It’s Word Week at Just Us Girls and the lovely Carol Mayne has chosen Thanks and or Thanksgiving as her word this week. At this time of year, I personally start looking through all the photos I took the past year and see what I can delete to clear up some space on my computer and phone, and I came across this photo of a card that I took and never shared. Then I realized it would work perfectly for this week’s challenge…so that was a win!

Card Details: Flowers in Bloom is from MFT, heat embossed in white and then I did the smooshing technique to add the color. The banner die is also MFT and called folded Fishtail. The thanks sentiment comes in the Flowers in Bloom set. Love that font!

Now, I hope you will pop on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team and our guest Melissa have done and play along.

Take care, Nanc’

Sending Sunshine and Smiles

Hello friends! It had been a while since I did some coloring so I thought I would change it up a little today with an MFT critter beach scene. I do love to color and am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Card Details: MFT-Best Beach Friends, MFT Stencil-Pastures, Ponds and Pools, Miss Ink Stamps Stencil-Floral wave, Oxide Inks, Copcis and Prisma Colored Pencils.

I am linking up with the Stencil Fun Challenge the theme is Birthday but it is optional as long as you use a stencil.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day, and I will be back tomorrow with a Christmas card from Spellbinders where the colors didn’t turn out quite like I thought they would.

By the way, I am on Day 14 of consecutive posts! We will see how long I can keep this going. Take care, Nanc’

Sending Sunshine

Hello, I hope the sun is shining on you today! Did you know that Hero Arts has a monthly challenge? I was unaware or, I may have just forgotten, the verdict is still out. Anyways, for the month of July, the challenge is Here Comes the Sun. Do you know they give out two $50 gift cards to two winners? I think that is terrific! All you have to do for this challenge is use at least one Hero Arts product on your card. Easy right? You all know that I am totally smitten with Hero Arts card kit from last month, so it didn’t take long to figure out what products I was going to use on my sun-shiny card.

Few Card Details: This was one of those cards that had oodles of mistakes from the get-go. First, I forgot to leave the spot for the reflection free of color when I was ink-blending my water, I decided to only use one of the water stamps and make my own background first. I thought an easy fix would be to heat emboss it in yellow( it is the closest color I had). It didn’t look very good in yellow, so I took an orange Copic marker and colored over it. That looked horrific. Luckily while making dinner, I thought, how about gold glitter. Yay! That did the trick! Now, don’t even get me started on the sun. I won’t bore you with all those crazy details. Luckily the die set came with a sun, so I could make one out of paper, ink blend it to the perfect color, and glue it over top.

Card Supplies: Hero Arts Card Kit for June has all the things I used on this card, except the Hibiscus Die is from The Greetery, and the sentiment is from MFT. I used a mix of inks from Simon Says Stamps and Oxides as well. I am really enjoying the SSS inks and I have recently been hooked on the Oxide color-Evergreen Bough.

I certainly appreciate you coming by and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. You have plenty of time to play along at Hero Arts too! Nanc’

Anything is Possible…

Hello, I am back today with my final card of the month as guest for the Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog. Thank you, Amy, for asking me to join in the fun! I have certainly enjoyed my time with you all. For my last card, I went with one of my favorite color combos-Pink and Brown. Any Pink and Brown fans out there?

I first got out an oldie-but-goodie coffee stamp set from Verve appropriately named- Coffee and stamped my background using Gina K-Charcoal Brown ink. Next, I took my MFT stitched rectangle and cut out a heart off-center. Next, I cut out two more hearts to layer on top of that one. Then it was time to assemble my two MFT coffee cups in matching colors. I love making these cups. Don’t you think all to-go cups should be this cute? I certainly do!

After I stamped my sentiment from Funny Bones, which I have never inked up before, and placed everything where I thought it would go. I thought the card looked a bit bare on the top. That is when I remembered the spoon from the Greetery Cozy Cup set. It certainly did the trick!

I failed to mention the fun polka-dotted background paper is from Stampin Up. I also decided to add the tiny gold paper dot pieces at the very end to tie in the gold I used on the spoon. I have also used dimensionals under my to-go cups for height.

All the supplies that I could link are linked above! I hope you have a wonderful day and get to enjoy a cup or two, while being creative! Take care, Nanc’

Use a Number

Hello, We have a fun and easy topping starting today at Seize the Birthday. Cathy is our hostess and she wants us to use a number on our card and or project. The timing of this challenge could not have worked out more perfectly as I needed a 70th Birthday card for a dear friend’s Surprise Party this weekend.

Now, I didn’t quite think my card through when I decided to use my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the 70, and I just ended up cutting two pieces of white cardstock out and sandwiching them together using scrap paper and the hinge method. It doesn’t look ideal on the inside but he’s a guy and I don’t think he will care. LOL

I knew what I wanted the outside sentiment was going to say so I made that on my computer. Then I took my 4 favorite candle dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs (each one has a different pattern) and decided to cut them all out in white and then have one in red to match the sentiment “One of a Kind.” Next was the gold wicks. Both were a bit time-consuming but totally worth it.

Here is the inside. The sentiments are all from MFT.

Before I go I need to say farewell and a big thanks to Bonnie for being such a wonderful guest at Seize the Birthday the past two months. I have totally enjoyed working with you and of course your wonderful cards. Please stay in touch, I will miss you!

I certainly appreciate you stopping by I hope you will head on over to STB and join us! Take care, Nanc’

Hello

Hello, It’s Word Week over at Just Us Girls, and Ina has chosen an easy one for us this week. I had a very busy week and little time so I pulled out some of my favorite MFT Garden dies and some Stitched rectangles and made a rather quick card. The hello die is from Spellbinders.

I hope you will head on over to Just Us Girls and check out the team’s cards and join us! Take care, Nanc’
