Wild Card CAS

Hello,  Hope you are having a wonderful day so far!  Angie over at Just Us Girls is our hostess this week and she has asked us to do Clean and Simple for our Wild Card Week. CAS is hard for me, so I needed this challenge.  I have made a card similar to this one in the past but I don’t believe I ever posted it…at least I hope not. 😉   A friend of mine is expecting her first child and she and her hubby don’t want to know the sex of the baby, so I thought this idea would be perfect.  This cute little elephant is from Verve and the sentiment is SU.

Before I go I want to say thanks to Stef Perryfor being an awesome guest with us the past month! It was a joy working with you!

Happy Easter, Nanc’

Birds of a Feather….

Hello Everyone, It’s Thursday and time for the latest topping over at Seize the Birthday.  Our topping is BIRDS! I haven’t had this adorable set from Stampin Up for too terribly long and I just adore it. I paired it with this cute little stitched die from MFT, with my trusty over used but favorite Happy Birthday stamp from Verve.  That stamp never leaves my desk.

I hope you are enjoying your week as much as I am.  Today is our Anniversary and we are packing up the bikes for a day trip.

Hope to see you in our gallery at STB! Nanc’

JUGS and the Twofer Challenge

Hello Everyone,  I have to say that today is the beginning of our Spring Break!  Woohoooo!  I sure hope this week drags on and on and I manage to accomplish most or all of the incredible long lists of chores and fun activities that I have planned.  Wish me Luck!   Are you all familiar with the Twofer Card Challenge that the incredibly funny and kind Darnell started recently?  Well, I have been eyeing it since its inception, and I decided to incorporate that challenge with my weekly Just Us Girls challenge this week. The Twofer Challenge ends today I do believe, so nothing like getting down to the wire.

The word for the Twofer challenge is Blossom and the Challenge we have for you at JUGS is a Photo challenge.  The picture had a lot to do with Spring flowers and Easter so that is where my inspiration headed this week. I got out my SU Blossom Petals Punch and made my first Floral card.  Then I let my fingers do the walking over at Pinterest for a bunny card to inspire me and I used the same Blossom punch for his ears.  I am not sure anyone has ever used a punch before over at the Twofer challenge, so I hope it’s allowed. Here is the card that inspired me for the bunny and the flower card was my own design.  For the flower-I used the SU Blossom Petals Punch, some MFT for the leaves and grass, SU circle dies for the center of the flower, and the stem was made with a hill die from Lawn Fawn.  For the bunny- I used an MFT stitched heart, My SU Blossom Petals punch, a MS border punch and my Creative memories circle cutter to get the perfect size circles. The sentiment is from Verve. Chalk for his cheeks, a white and black pen and some rhinestones.

Here is a pic of the SU blossom punch!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you come on over to JUGS and check out the rest of the DT’s cards.

ACK!!!!!!  I didn’t take my photos together and the Bunny card has already been sold! I hope it’s okay that I made a collage instead!  I will do better next time, I promise!  Nanc’

Color Week at JUGS!

Hello Friends,  I am your hostess once again over at Just Us Girls and I just LOVE Color challenges.  In fact, if I didn’t have a day job I think I would start a Color challenge myself.  Maybe someday that will happen…we shall see!  In the meantime, I hope you will consider bopping on over to JUGS and joining us this week.  I really like the color combo and I hope you do too.

My card was really easy to put together.  I used some SU flowers and sentiment and some of my favorite die leaves from Verve.

Come on over and check out what the team has done with this great color combo and our Guest Stef!

See you at Just Us Girls, Nanc’

Teal and White at STB!

Hello Friends,  We have a great color combo this time over at Seize the Birthday! Teal is one of my all time favorite colors and I just love the look of it paired with white as you can see above.  It’s just so clean and fresh looking, don’t ya think?

Here are a few details of what I used to make my card. Sentiment and leaves are from Verve, EF and butterfly is SU, the scalloped rectangles are from MFT. Some black Nuvo drops and glossy accents on the butterfly and I was done.

Please come on over to STB and check out what the rest of the team and our Surprise Party Guest Kim have done.  Some serious eye candy there! Nanc’

Mythical or Magical at JUGS!

Hello,  Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Trend week an Carol has asked us to use Mythical or Magical creations on our cards and or projects! I knew right away that I was going to be playing with my favorite MFT Dragon stamps, and it looks like I am not the only one on the team that went that direction.  I can’t take credit for my layout of my card as I was inspired by this card HERE!  I used my trusty Prisma Colored pencils for this card.

Please join us over at JUGS this week….the team and our Guest Stef did another fabulous job! Nanc’

Balloons!

Hello Friends,  We have a very easy word for you this week over at Just Us Girls.  The word is Balloons. I decided to get out my favorite  MFT Adorable Elephants set as soon as I saw this challenge. They just make me smile! I also CASED this terrific card I found over on Pinterest! I just recently got the cloud stencil from MFT, so you will have to forgive me as I need a bit more practice with it.  I am such a heavy handed inker!  I also finally got the Wonky rectangles that I have wanted FOREVER and a few other goodies too! I used my faithful prisma colored pencils to color my card.

PLEASE consider joining us at JUGS this week where we have a new guest joining us! Welcome Stef Perry!  We are really happy to have you Stef!

Take care, Nanc’

Text Ya Later!

Hello Friends,  It’s time for our Anything Goes challenge over at Seize the Birthday!  I got out my fun new SU set called Text Ya Later and made a birthday card this time. In fact, I made four cards while I was at it.  Here are the rest of them.

I fell in love with this color combo and kinda got carried away with it. For some of them I even made my own background paper. I would also like to say welcome our New Surprise Party Guest this month over at STB. We are happy to have Kim Lackenbach joining us! She is super talented and I get so inspired when I see her work. Welcome Kim!  She will be with us the next two months!

I hope you have a truly fabulous day! Nanc’
