Leap Year- Photo Week

DSC_0069

Screen Shot 2016-01-10 at 2.25.20 PMHello Friends,  It’s the weekend and time for a new Photo challenge over at Just Us Girls!  Lisa, is our hostess and she was clever enough to think outside the box and come up with something in relation to Leap Year.  So as you can see the first thing that came to my mind was to incorporate a frog on my card.  I knew I didn’t have any frog stamps but knew if I hopped on over to Pinterest I would find some ideas of how to make one using Punches, and I did. My little froggy came to life by using the SU Owl Punch for his body and eyes and the Blossom Petals Punch for his hind legs.  The lily pad, his head, and center of his body were cut with my CM oval cutting system.  To make his googly eyes pop out I used some black pearls. The lily pad flower was also made from a MS punch. The stamped flowers and stems are also from SU. The clouds were sponged with a handmade stencil I created.

I would also like to thank our Guest Designer Pamellia for being with us this month and sharing her wonderful talents with us!

I hope you have a terrific weekend and if you find sometime to get crafty this week consider joining the girls and I over at JUGS!  Who knows you may become our next Guest Designer.  Nanc’

Overlap Stamping

DSC_0065

STB Anything GoesHello Friends,  It’s Thursday and hope you are having a good week so far. I am still trying to kick this Flu bug after 11 days, but hopefully not to much longer!   They say it can last up to two weeks. Today’s cards were inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s overlap stamping technique. Yes, I know I said overlap stamping and you are seeing a lot of white spots in-between my colors and they aren’t quite exactly overlapping, however her video is what truly inspired me to make the panels and or frames on all 3 of my cards!

49The colors and flowers were inspired by the Card Concept this week, where my style is generally Clean and Layered. I used a mixture of a lot of different stamp sets; Stampin- Up, Paper Smooches, and Neat and Tangled.  The cardstock and ink is all SU.If you have any questions just give me a shout out! It’s also time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday where it just so happens to be Anything Goes this time around!

I hope you come on over and join the Design Team and our Surprise Party Guest Jacquie Southas!

Take Care,

Nanc’

Winter Blessings

DSC_0012

Screen Shot 2016-01-10 at 2.15.56 PMHello Friends,  and hello three day Weekend! WhoopWooooo!  Working in the school system sure has it’s perks! Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Trend Week.  So it’s time to break out those tags and incorporate them on your card and or project. I really had a great time putting this card together.  I made the background of my tag using the smoothing technique and got to break out my new snow hill dies from Lawn Fawn and use them for the first time too.  The paper is from Echo Park and is called Hello Winter and the penguin is something I picked up at Michaels. I loved paper piecing his cute little hat and scarf.   The sentiment I do believe is from Gina K designs.

I hope you find sometime to join us this week, and if you get picked as our Chic of the Week you just might end up being our next Guest Designer too.

I am taking a road trip south today to meet up with my Birthday Sista’ and stamping friend Barbara for lunch, and I am beyond excited to see her again!

Take care and enjoy your day, I know I will!  Nanc’

Birthday….Heart

Hello Friends,  It’s time for a brand new challenge over at Seize the Birthday. I was short on time this week because I had so many requests at work for Valentine cards (which is a good problem to have) and I had to do something super quick. So I opted out of our topping option (cupcakes and candy in case you were wondering) and headed straight for old reliable! LOL  Truth be told, I made a card with cupcakes on it a week ago and it was god awful and I just couldn’t post it!

STBSo I promised you wouldn’t see anymore SU hearts, well I may have lied a little, so please forgive me!  We have a brand new Surprise Party Guest with us this month over at STB and her name is Jacquie Southas, please come on over and welcome her and see what my talented team did with their sweets!

Take care and happy crafting!  Nanc’

More Hearts!

First off, I guess I should apologize for this post in advance! YES, you were forewarned a few days back that I was madly addicted to this Blooming Heart Die from SU, so I don’t feel too bad about it. LOL This first card is being entered over at The Card Concept where they have this great Valentine cookie image with flowers on top. This time I decided to layer the two single heart dies together with out placing one back in the negative die like I had been doing lately, and I really love the look of it! I would call my style on this card Clean and Layered.

I decided I better put the next ones in a collage for you to speed things up a bit.

Love You-Happy Birthday

DSC_0049

DSC_0047Hello Friends, As promised, here is another card using my new SU Bloomin Heart Die and matching stamp set. So far I have made about ten cards with this die and I am not sure I am quite ready to pack it up as of yet.  This particular card was inspired by the following challenges.  I think the silver paper really stepped this card up a notch.   If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask.  Now it’s time for a Football Game!  Go Broncos, but I really wouldn’t mind if the Panthers won either.  I personally just like Manning better over Newton. I hope it’s a good game. I know there will be a commercial about the “Alexa” which is the amazing department my son is involved with at Amazon, so I am excited to see that one for sure!  Take care, Nanc’

Valentine is the Word!

DSC_0043Screen Shot 2016-01-10 at 1.52.53 PMHello Friends,  It’s February already and LOVE month and Vicki has chosen the perfect word for us over at Just Us Girls. The word is Valentine.  Just a few days ago my Stampin Up order came in and I am over the top thrilled with this New Blossom Heart Thinlit die-cut and matching stamp set!  I was having so much fun the other night that I made four cards using these sets. That never happens at one sitting.  Isn’t that heart the prettiest thing you have ever seen?  I am seriously in Love with it for sure!  I am warning you now, you will be seeing this a lot over the next few weeks, heck maybe the next month!

I am also linking my card up over at Sunday Stamps since they are the ones that inspired this GREAT color palette.  Next, Mod Squad just so happens to be having a hearts and flowers challenge.  Last but certainly not least, The Friday Mashup has a Valentine theme.

Before I go I want to welcome a new Guest Designer with us over at Just Us Girls.  You have seen her awesome work in blog land, I am most certain.  Welcome Pamellia Johnson!  We are thrilled to have you with us this month!

Take care,  Nanc’

Celebrate Baby Girls

DSC_0034

pp280Hello Friends,  It’s Hump day for me…Wooohooo! I can’t wait for Friday to get here, Idk about you!  The office staff at school asked me to make a quick baby card for one of our employees. I didn’t have a whole heck of a lot of time, so I through this together last night.  Not in love with it, but they were, and that is all that really matters. The one button die (from Verve) at the bottom of the card came out red when it’s clearly pink. The sentiment is a mix of this and that and the cute little giraffe is something I picked up god knows where. I love the look of taking my rectangle stitched panels and putting them back together like a puzzle, however the panels have a little gap that I am not quite happy with on the bottom and I am hoping the word GIRLS has covered it up a smidgen.

I am linking my card up to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge over at the Paper Players.  I used the horizontal middle row of….Die cuts, Pink and Girly.

Thanks for coming by and seeing what I have been up to…hope you have had sometime to be creative too.  Nanc’

CTS_157Hello Friends,  I hope your week is off to a great start, mine sure is!  I have had quite a lot of opportunity  to get my craft on as of late, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.  My Silhouette Cameo and I are getting to know each other quite a bit better and I think I am in LOVE. LOL  So the card I have for you today was designed using my Cameo and also around the awesome sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  As soon as I saw the Design Teams samples I knew I wanted to play along.  I was swooning over the GD-Kay Miller’s card.  It is just totally awesome!  I started out cutting out the word create using my Cameo and the sun and the clouds and bright green arch were all made with various die cuts.  The stamped and heat embossed sentiment is from Close to My Heart.   Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you also have the opportunity to craft real soon! Maybe if I become real brave or get a nice photo I will show you some of the shirts I have made with my Cameo too.  Take care, Nanc’
