Indulge

I don’t know about you, but I can resist Cake and Pies, but I can’t resist ice cream. This photo doesn’t do this card justice, but I have not mastered the photography part of this hobby! Not sure I ever will. LOL
This is a challenge over at Stamp TV.Indulge!
Have a great weekend!

Supplies used: Paper is SU, prisma colored pencils, my computer for the cherry! I can’t recall where I got the ice cream image, but I think it was Gina K designs not sure ;(.

Colored Pencils

I have been watching and intrigued by all the talented people out there when it comes to coloring.
I decided it was time to give it a try!  So yesterday I watched a couple of you tube

STVCC23

STVCC23

tutorials on coloring with colored pencils. This one was really good. I would love to try my hand at the copic markers that seem to be the new wave, but maybe in time. Also, looks like I will need to get my hands on some mineral spirits and a blending stump.
This is also a challenge you can find on stamp tv.

Anyways, this works well enough for now for the newbie! LOL

I told my hubby today that I never want to go to work every again:), summer is almost over and I love staying home and being creative!

Take care and Scrap your Heart,

Nancy

It’s hard to go back to doing normal things after such a long and emotional two weeks, but as they say time heals pain. I can’t help but feel a little guilty, diving in and trying to enjoy summer again, when I know my sister is hurting so much.  She is doing amazing though, she is such a strong women and I am really proud of her!  The memorial service went really well and I think Ryan would have liked it!

Here is a card I made this morning for a challenge over on Stamp TV
Supplies: Love ya bunches SU, U-Autumn Leaves stamp set, Paper (who knows) and embellishments.

“Love doesn’t die people do”

It has been awhile since my last post, due to the passing of my nephew.  (age 25)  It has been a very tough week, but as the beginning of my post states: “Love doesn’t die people do.  So, when all that’s left of me is love, give me away.”  What do you say to your sister when she is hurting so much? I absolutely can’t imagine her pain.  As the reality of what has happened sunk in the only thing I could think of was to help as much as I could at preparing the Memorial Service.  Which takes place this Sat. the 18th.  As we try to understand why these things happen, I guess the only thing we need to remember is that Ryan is in a better place, where there is no more sorrow, no more pain.

Ryan, you will be truly missed.   I love you! I wish I would have told you that more!IMG_0122

I love you!

So Very Blessed

How I Am Feeling these day!

How I Am Feeling these day!

This card is a statement of how I have been feeling lately! So Very Blessed, to have a wonderful husband that supports me in all my endeavors, and a wonderful son that is so willing to help me and gladly give me advice or his opinion when asked. It has been such a great summer so far, because the quality time I spend with my family has been awesome. We have almost all our meals together and just laugh and talk about anything. So many teenagers these days say they never talk with their parents. If they only knew what they were missing out on. Well now that I have rambled on that for awhile 🙂 About my card! This is a crayon resist technique found at stampTV.

Supplies: card stock: K&Company (peabody scrap pad)

Ink: SU Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose

Stamps: So Very- SU

Accesories: pop dots, ribbon

Enjoy and remember,

Scrap Your Heart !!

Red, White and Blue

You areHappy Fourth Everyone! We are so Blessed to live in such an amazing country!! Hope you have great plans with family or friends today! We don’t have any plans at the moment my son is working, but my hubby and I will probably call some of our friends and see what we can come up with. This card was so much fun to make.  The technique is called crayon resist, and it’s one of the many challenges on over at StampTv.  I made two different pieces of paper with two different star stamps, and I didn’t like the way one of them came out, so I cut it up and attached them with pop dots. I hate throwing anything away and being wasteful. You should see how much scrap paper I have!

Hope you have an awesome Fourth and be safe!
