HAPPY birthday

Hello, I am back today with a very quick card for The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge where sweet Jaydee is our hostess. I chose the row going down of- feminine, birthday and floral.

Card Details: The DSP is that older special paper from SU that I talk about often and just adore. I certainly wish they carried it full time. It comes in all different patterns and all you have to do is put ink on it for an emboss resist. I LOVE IT! Really makes for a quick card when you are in a time crunch. I use if very sparingly and keep every scrap. The sunflower and leaves are also from Stampin Up. I added a few gems and a greeting and I was done.

Have an Amazing…

Hello, I hope this post finds you well! I am back today with Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa came up with a pic that I really quite enjoyed.

As soon as I saw all the circles my thoughts went right to this old Poppy stamp set from Verve. I tried to omit the leaves like in the picture, but in the end I just thought it needed a few. My flowers have Wink of Stella on them and loads of dimensionals. The Sentiment is from Verve. I also felt the flowers needed to be grounded somehow so I added the back strip. The background was inked with Oxide Ink!

Please come by Just Us Girls and check out the rest of the cards by the Design Team and guest. Speaking of guest, today is our last post with Claire! Thanks for being with us Claire, we have really enjoyed having you tagging along with us!

Take care, Nanc’

Hello Sweet Friend

Hello, I am back again today with a quick card. I saw that the Freshly Made Sketches is celebrating their 500th Challenge this week, and I wanted to make sure I joined in their fun and achievement. They have been doing such an incredible job inspiring all of us for the past decade! That is some accomplishment! Congrats to them and all their current and past designers! Did I mention there are many prizes up for grabs too? I have linked it up for you, so go check it out!

My card was made with many things left over from my bits and boxes. I love putting them to good use.

I really appreciate you dropping by! Let me know if you have any questions!

Take care and stay well, Nanc’

Inspired by Christmas

Hello, I hope this post finds you well in this crazy world we find ourselves in. I have been eyeing the gorgeous Christmas challenge photo over at Inspired by Challenges, and I had sometime this afternoon to escape the world and make a Christmas Card. What really caught my attention in the photo was the candy canes and the bright berries. I tried adding a small apple like in the photo but it just didn’t look right.

Card Details: Poinsettias and Candy canes are from Impression Obsession, the wreath and the green foliage is all from Stampin Up. The berry stamps and leaves are from MFT. The sentiment is SU and gold embossed.

I am also going to link up with the lovely ladies over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

I sure appreciate you stopping by! I am obsessed with poinsettias right now so you may see more soon. Have a wonderful rest of your day! Nanc’

Hi there…

Hello there, Today over at The Paper Players it is time for Sketch Week. I absolutely had the best time putting this card together and thought the sketch that Laurie chose this week was super fun! I love when cards have an unexpected tilt to them. I have had this great background paper for quite sometime and so happy I finally used some of it. It worked so well with my little beach babes.

I am linking my card up over with Darnell at NBUS as well, as it is the first time I used these cute beach babes from Sunny Studios. I am also linking up at Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge where all you have to do is add a Sentiment.

Card Details: The first thing I did was make a stencil with my wave die from MFT and then made my water using Oxide ink. The sand is also part of a die from MFT- Beach Builders set which I inked up to make it look more realistic. The girls and palm tree are all from Sunny Studios-Coastal Cuties/Sending Sunshine. The Hibiscus is MFT. I colored them with Copics and Prismas. I framed my little scene in with some star paper from MFT. The greeting is from one of the Sunny Studios-Coastal Cuties set.

This might be my favorite card of the year so far!

Super Cute…

Hello, It is time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and I couldn’t wait to get started when I saw this great trio of colors selected by Carol. I needed another baby girl card and thought this would be just perfect, for the layout I had in mind. You all know I love polka dots and I thought these papers would be perfect for my baby blankets and cute little dress.

You know if I have lots of die cuts on my card, I will be linking up with the fun over at The Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge-Anything Goes.

Card Details: The greeting is from MFT along with the dress die and hanger. The Sweet stamp is from Jelly Bean. The coaster die that I am calling a baby blanket is from the Greetery. The hearts were a bad after thought! UGH!

Come on over to Just Us Girls and join us…who knows you might be chosen as our next Chic of the Week!

Take care and stay well, Nanc’

Birthday by the Sea

Hello, It’s time for the next topping over at Seize the Birthday and this time I am your hostess. Before I get to my card I want to say a BIG Welcome to Jules Peddicord! She is joining us today as an official Design Team Member and we couldn’t be more excited! WooHoo! Jules has played along at Seize the Birthday for many, many years and we have long admired her work, so it was just decided it was about time to make her a Design Team Member. Welcome Jules!

Since we are in the middle of summer in my neck of the woods, I chose By the Sea as our topping at STB. I think this topping should really make for a wide variety of possibilities, and I can’t wait to see the gallery!

I needed some masculine cards so I thought this boat would be just perfect. I decided to try to be creative once again with my background and I kinda like the way it came out. Below I will show you the stencil that I used for my water.

Card Details: The stencil is from Taylored Expression and called Go With the Flow. The boat is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Come on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the amazing cards by our Design Team and new teammate! You are certainly going to be inspired! I sure was!

Take care, Nanc’

And wait till you see the cards that the Design Team and our guest put together! They are all Amazing!! Speaking of Guest, we have a good friend of mine Linda Snodgrass joining us this time at CH. Welcome Linda! We are really happy to have you!

My card was made for and already received by my Brother in Law after he had major back surgery! I am happy to report he is doing well and nearly out of pain.

I am also going to join in the fun over at Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies.

Card Details: The sentiment is from Altenew- Mega 4 Greetings, The seashells are from Honey Bee Stamps-Flippin Fabulous, and the leaves are inked and splattered and from Stampin Up-Tropical Thinlits. I used Oxide inks to blend my background. I used Prismas and light Copics to color.

Now, run on over to Color Hues and be ready to be dazzled! Stay safe, Nanc’

CAS and Masculine

Hello Stampin friends, Today over at The Paper Players, Anne Marie is our sweet hostess and she has selected Masculine for our CAS week. I struggle with both Masculine cards and Clean and Simple cards, so this one I had to give some serious thought to. I was staring up at my old SU stamps that are all lined up above my head over my work space and I spotted this great set called Lift Me Up. I thought the hot Air Balloons would be perfect. Plus they have long been neglected.

Card Details: First I made my background with some torn copy paper, a circle stencil and some Oxide inks. I am sure you are not surprised! LOL I decided the sky needed some clouds so I pulled out my favorite ones from MFT. I love that they have an outline to them. The sentiment is from the same set as the Balloons-Lift Me Up. Long retired I am sure.

Black and White-Wedding Card

Hello there! I needed a wedding card and when I saw the challenge that Vicki chose for us this week at Just Us Girls I knew it would be perfect. I made a card similar to this one a few months ago and it was well received so I thought I would try it again. You can find it HERE!

Card Details: I have always been a huge fan of these old SU flowers. The sets that the flowers came from are called Flower Shop and Petite Petals. I paired them with some of the elements of the new Forever Fern stamps and dies. The greeting is from SU as well. I used white embossing powder on vellum with a grey back for my flowers and then white on white for the smaller centers of the flowers. These flowers compliment each other perfectly. Some gems for the centers. The DSP came from Hobby Lobby and I am using every scrap. Made the circle with a couple of Sizzix dies, and the victorian edge is done with my Fiskers cutter.

I hope you will stop on over to Just Us Girls and see what the fabulous team did this week along with our guest Claire!

Take care, Nanc’
