Warm Christmas Wishes

Hello, I hope you are doing well! Today over at The Paper Players it’s Sketch Week and I absolutely adore the sketch that Anne Marie has chosen for us! I had the Santa and Palm Tree sitting on my desk already colored, and then an idea popped into my head. Why not mask off the base cardstock and make three beach scenes. So I did! I think it turned out quite well and I will definitely be making more of these in the future.

You know me and like to combine challenges, so I am also going to be playing along once again with the Global Design Project where their theme is Christmas and Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge-Make a Scene.

Card Details: Spellbinders Deckled Edge dies to make my stencils, Santa and the Palm Tree are from separate sets but are both Sunny Studios. I used both Copics and Prismas as my medium and Oxide ink for the background.

NOEL

Hello, Today over at Just Us Girls it is our last challenge of the year and we also are having a DT opportunity too! If you think you might be interested, please visit the blog to get the details on the simple way to apply. As soon as I saw the wreath in the photo I decided that is where my inspiration would begin. This card didn’t quite turn out like I had planned, as the wreath looks a bit wonky but I had no time for a redo. I do love the polka-dotted letters though.

I am also going to link up with the Global Design Project where the Theme is Christmas.

Card Details: Spellbinders-NOEL was used for everything except the small base of the wreath which is from SU. I used my victorian blade on my Fiskers cutter to make the decorative edge.

Now, head on over to Just Us Girls and check out how the team and our guest Rachel were inspired! Speaking of Rachel…It was a pleasure having you with us this month and hope you will visit us again soon.

Take care, Nanc’

Hobbies and Pastimes

Hello, Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends! We are having a very small gathering at my house today and as I am typing this post there is the smell of pumpkin in the air. I love all things Pumpkin, do you? I know this Holiday can be so hard on so many, and the last two years have certainly not been easy. So if you are struggling today, I hope you know that others are thinking of you.

Today my son, daughter-in-law, and grand Kitty Lando are on the beginning leg of their cross-country journey from California to Florida once again, after they JUST arrived home from Puerto Rico very late the night before. I don’t know how they do it! They are headed here via electric car as they did last year. So although they won’t be with us today I know I will see them very soon! Now onto my card!

Today over at Seize the Birthday, Lindsey is our fabulous hostess and she has picked a great topping of (Hobbies and Pastimes) and I don’t recall we have ever used it before. Way to be creative, Linds! It was fun to see all the different directions the DT and guest Carol went with this topping. I chose boating as I needed a masculine card this week.

Card Details: All stamps are retired and from Stampin Up. I did a bit of distressing with some Oxide inks.

Take care and we hope you will play along over at Seize the Birthday and remember the topping is optional, any Birthday card will do! Nanc’

Gnomes or Fairies

Hello, I sure hope you are doing well. It’s time for the next challenge at The Paper Players. Laurie is our hostess and it’s CAS week and the theme is Gnomes or Fairies. I had neither in my collection and have always wanted some gnome stamps and was thrilled that I just “Had” to make this purchase for this challenge. LOL I have wanted this particular set by Whimsy Stamps for quite some time.

Card Details: Gnome and greeting are from Whimsy Stamps, MFT Cloud stencil, Copics and Colored Pencil, and some sequin stars.

Oh Frap

Hello friends, Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Color Week and Vicki is our hostess! She has picked the colors Aqua, Brown, and Cream and also used a photo to inspire us! It was a cloudy day when I took this pic so the card base and swirls on the DSP look a bit more on the white side than cream. Although there is cream in the dotted DSP as well. I thought the DSP on the background worked really well to mimic the tabletop in the picture.

Card Details: I stamped Coffee beans on some DSP I had in my stash. The Coffee dies and greeting are from MFT. I used Vellum for my lids on my Fraps.

Come by Just Us Girls and join us!

Take care, Nanc’

Silver and Gold

Hello, It is the middle of the month, and time for the next hues of color at Color Hues. Sweet Carol has chosen a color combo that might make you break out in song… it does me anyway! LOL Silver and Gold! As you know, mirrored paper is hard to photograph.

Card Details: This was a very quick and easy card. The Noel die is from Spellbinders the Music paper is actually vellum and cut out with my postal die from Hero Arts. Some ribbon and I was done.

You have to come by Color Hues and check out my fabulous DT’s cards and see how they sparkle and shine,

Take care, Nanc’

Cheers

Hello, It is time for Color Week at The Paper Players. Sweet Joanne is our hostess and she has a great color palette for us. I hope that the team doesn’t mind that I snuck a bit of cream into my design for my champagne.

Going to play along with Happy Little Stampers– Die Challenge once again!

Card Details: I love that I am using up some of my DSP that I seem to keep purchasing. As for the Champagne Glasses, they are from Paper Roses and the word Cheers is a new die-cut for me and from Karen Burniston. A fun and quick card to put together.

Mini Slimline

Hello, Elizabeth is our fabulous hostess this week at Just Us Girls and she has picked the PERFECT Trend for us. Mini Slimline cards. I am finally starting to get on board with this size and really loving it. It is very common for me to be way behind on the latest trends and I am good with that. Someone has to be the caboose. LOL.

I am linking up over at Tic Tac Toe once again because I like this board so much and this time I chose the row Holiday, Silver, and Patterned Paper.

I love Happy Little Stampers so I am joining in the Christmas Challenge this time.

Card Details: NOEL is from Spellbinders. The snowman is a fav of mine from MFT. The decorative edge was made with my Fiskers Victorian blade paper cutter.

Now, Hop on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the Design Team and our guest Rachel have done! So many fabulous cards!

Take care, Nanc’

New Home

Hello, I hope all is well with you. I am playing along today with the new Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I have chosen the row of Kraft, Free, and Patterned Paper.

Card Details: I can’t take credit for this design as I cased this card HERE! The sentiment and Paper are from SU. I did a bit of stressing with brown ink and a sponge dauber to add a bit of definition grunge to the house. I used an MFT scallop die for my rooftop shingles. The house has a gold doorknob but it is hard to see in the pic.

I hope you are having a creative week. Take care, Nanc’

#Celebrate

Hello, I hope all is well with you! It’s Thursday so you can probably figure out that it is time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. Julie is our hostess and she has a very fun topping for us this time around. What is your Beverage of choice? I guess it would depend on the time of day. Although, I am a huge coffee drinker and can drink it morning noon, and night. The staff at DD know me by name. LOL I thought it would be the perfect time to make another Gift Card Holder. I totally failed to take a photo of the inside of the card and it is long gone. So I will show you the die below so you get the idea.

I am going to add this card to the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge as well!

Card Details: Here is a photo of the die so you can see how it works. As you can see the cup itself is the cardholder and you decorate the sleeve. I have used some coffee cups from MFT to do just that. The hashtag greeting was gifted to me and is from Papertrey Ink. I stumbled upon the DSP in my stash and that was a happy find and helped me choose my color direction! The Chevron EF is from SU.

Now, head on over to Seize the Birthday and you can see a huge variety of beverages! I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Take care, Nanc’
