Great ColourQ Combination

Two posts in one day is a little unusual for me,

but I didn’t want to miss out on the deadline

for this great color combination over at

the ColourQ.  Just this week I got the exact color ink pads

from Stampin up and couldn’t wait to break open the plastic and get inky!

Color Q

This tulip stamp is one of my very first stamps I ever purchased when I began this great hobby many years ago!

I thought the small little bow added a nice touch!

Such a quick card to put together!

Here is the great color combo I was telling you about!

CAS on Sunday #5

Happy Easter to you and your family!

Hope you enjoy the day, however you wish to spend it.

I will be missing my son!  This is the first Easter we won’t be

together as a family! 😦

Okay, onto the real reason your here!

Today I have a Thank You card that goes along with the

“Thank you” theme for this week’s CAS on Sunday #5 Challenge.

IMG_0260

I have had this cute little guy colored for about a month now and finally

got around to using him.  I had to come up with something quick

because the deadline for this challenge was fast approaching and

I have been out of town for a funeral and very, very  sick, so I haven’t had

any time or even felt like being creative!

Glad he was there waiting for me!

I made his speech bubble with my cricut,

and the sentiment is from Michaels.

It’s one of those stamps that was sooooo worth the dollar it cost. 🙂

The scalloped diecut is from My Favorite Things.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and please

be sure to check out the other beautiful DT creations

While your there link up your Thank You card

Sorry…for the lack of post!

Hello Friends,

Just wanted you to know that I had a death in the family and that is why I haven’t posted in over a week!

I took a quick trip to Boston and just got back late Monday night!

The service for my sister in law was wonderful and although funerals are always tough,

I am so very glad Diane is not suffering anymore.

The trip was very quick and exhausting and I ended up very ill on my return,

but it was wonderful being with family and making new friends.

I have two cards I would like to post that I made recently and haven’t had a chance to show you.

I posted them over at Stamp TV earlier this month for a couple of their challenges.

The first one is a skinny card challenge…it measures 2 1/2 x 5.

I will be making more of these…so fun!

IMG_0202

The second one is a paper piecing card.

Not sure if the photo shows,

but I paper pieced the main flower and raised it up with pop dots.

If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to ask.

I am going to make this quick so I can head to bed!

Nancy

Softer side….by accident!

IMG_0196

Today’s card was somewhat of an accident.

When I stamped my flower image I originally was going to

shadow it with a darker image, but when I stamped the lighter grey

using my Spectrum Noir pens I liked the way it looked so I stopped.

The card then was designed based on the Sketch over at

Freshly Made and the color challenge at

the Dynamic Duos with a ribbon for dessert.

Thanks for stopping by… I love when you do!

Hoppy Easter

Spring has Sprung and….

Easter is right around the corner so I thought there was no better time

than the present to start making some easter cards.

IMG_0193

The card is for two challenges.

Inkspirational photo challenge and

Stamp TV’s Spring and Bling challenge.

Not sure if you can tell in the photo, but I used crystal effects on the

pink bunny in the middle and was going for a wet icing look.

I think it came out kinda cute!

Flutterbies

IMG_0155

Can’t believe we are on week #4 over at CAS on Sunday

This week’s challenge is “Flutterby” to use a

butterfly on your submission.  This is a great

challenge…who doesn’t love Buttlerflies…right?

This is the first time I have ever used Washi tape on anything!

I love it, but felt like I was cheating!  It’s just to quick! LOL

On a sad note!

I am sending this card to my sister-in-law that is

very ill and surgery is her only option and she is not strong enough or

healthy enough to have it done.

We are all very worried about her and prayer is all we have

to hang on to at this point!

Sorry to cast all that upon you, but sometimes it helps to vent!

Hope you find time in the next 2 weeks to join us at

CAS on Sunday.

This week’s challenge is being sponsored by SK Digis.

They have some super adorable images over there!!

Chip Board…

The team over at Casual Fridays is making me

get out of my rut and try something different.

Which is a really good thing.  Do you ever feel like every card you make

mimics the one before?  Well, that is definitely the case with

this girl!  The challenge this week is to

incorporate chipboard in your design.

I have had these chipboard letters for forever and

decided there was no time better than the present to use them.

I also incorporated this card with the sketch over at

CAS(E) this Sketch.  The only thing is that my sentiment

had to be put lower than the sketch or otherwise it didn’t look

right….hope that’s okay! :/

Okay, well that’s all for me today!  It’s Hubby’s Birthday and

time to go finish the cheesecake!

Simple Birthday Wish…

Today’s card was very quick to put together.

It’s a great color combo challenge from Dynamic Duos, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade

or anything you have that is close to those colors!

It also matches this great sketch over at Retro Sketches.

I love to play along with all these ladies at these sites!

I kind of got carried away with my scor-pal lines…but oh well- watcha gonna do!!

More Clean and Simple!

I am really starting to enjoy this Clean and Simple style!

Today’s card is for that very challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

I also made this card to be featured in a Die Cut Magazine ( for the iPad)

that I recently started contributing to.  It is full of great ideas this month!

This card and my bird on a branch card was featured this month. ( I was thrilled.)

The magazine is called Die Cut Crazy…so if you have an iPad…check it out!

DSCN5121

After I cut out the letters with my Cricut, I sponged them with some Memento pink ink.

The flower and leaves were also cut out with my Cricut!

Used my Scor-pal for some definition.

Ran the leaves through my Cuttlebug for texture!

Okay, my son will be home in a few hours, (Happy Girl) gotta get back to the kitchen!

Time to make some Caramel Bars and Cornbread!

Have a great weekend!
