Wild Card- Stripes

Hi,  We have a great and easy Wild Card Challenge for you this week at Just Us Girls. The word is Stripes! I decided to get out some washi tape that I never use and try to make an interesting background with my Oxide Inks.  I absolutely love the way it came out.  I made this card about a month or so ago and recently have seen a lot of other card makers doing this technique too.  It is so easy and a lot of fun! I highly suggest you give it a try! Be careful, as I had a bit of a bleed in the bottom right of my base. These feathers are a new purchase for me, they came in my very first Papertrey Ink order. I know, can you believe it??  I really love them a lot! I cut out multiple feathers and stacked them up to give the card a lot of dimension.

Travel is the Topping…

Hello,  Hope your day is off to a great start…or ended well! LOL Today over at Seize the Birthday our topping is Travel. However, you do not have to use the topping, any other Birthday card or project will do. I just adore this SU set. It’s my go to for a masculine card for sure! The only huge mistake I have is that I accidentally grabbed a deep purple ink color for the sentiment instead of navy. I have no idea how that happened. I hope you can’t tell too much!

My Heart is with You!

We have a great fall photo for your inspiration this week at Just Us Girls. I was in the need for a Sympathy card this week so I decided to see if I could pull off combining this challenge with that type of card.  Not sure I love it, but it will have to do. I also used one of my very first Stampin Up stamp sets called Branching Out for this card. The colors are a bit muted as I used Distress Oxide Inks, and kinda wish I hadn’t in hind sight.  I added some splatters and some fun glass beads. The sentiment is from Verve!

Get Well Soon

Hello Friends,  It’s color week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has a great combo for all of us and perhaps you too!  They are: Grey, Coral and the third color is your choice. My third color I chose was white.  I am not happy with the way this card photographed but it’s no longer available to retake, so it is what it is.

The butterflies and sentiment are from Verve and the DP is a bit of this and that! The EF and circle dies are SU.

Die Cuts or Punches at STB

Hello,  If you think this card is very similar to one you have see recently, you are correct.  I just loved the colors I used two weeks ago for a JUGS challenge so much that I decided to make similar one for Seize the Birthday!  The topping this time at Seize the Birthday is Die-cuts or Punches. All the products for this card are from Stampin Up.

We have a brand new Surprise Party Guest for the next three months at Seize the Birthday and her name is Marianne. Hand Drawn Elements…

Hello, We have a fun Trend this week over at Just Us Girls!  Carol our hostess has asked us to use hand Drawn Elements on our card and or project.  Let me say right away that this card is a CASE and not my design.  You can find the original card HERE! I came across this card eons ago and finally found a reason to make it!

The DP and Sentiment are Stampin Up. I did the eyes with a stencil and an ink pen and the word Smile by hand.

A Day to Celebrate

Hello,  We have a real easy word for you this week over at Just Us Girls.  The word is Celebrate!  This card came together rather quickly which is a good thing these days! Most everything you see for this card is from Stampin Up. The only exceptions are the scalloped die cut, Nuvo drops and ginormous gold bee. LOL
