Anything Goes @ JUGS!

Hello, I hope you are enjoying your day!

We have a new challenge starting over at Just Us Girls and Vicki is hosting and it’s Anything Goes!  We have an added bonus this time around!  We are extending our challenge for the entire month so you can enjoy the Holidays with your family and maybe squeeze in some time to join us too!

For my card! This image is not my own but something I stamped while visiting my friend Barb this past summer. I really do love it and I do believe it’s from Gina K.  I did some Copic coloring, and not sure if you can tell but the red paper is embossed with large circles too. Some small pearls finished it off nicely.

As the front of my card states, I am Wishing you…..A Very Merry Christmas.  Nanc’

Winter Pic @JUGS

Hello, We have a perfect photo this week at Just Us Girls that is surely going to help you get those Christmas cards done. My card is very simple and didn’t come out quite as I had planned….but that’s okay. I had intentions of only lightly covering my tree with white embossing powder and I ended up covering the entire thing.  We can’t love them all, can we? Plus, I had no time for a redo.

The stamps are a mix of a wooden block-tree, a small snowflake from Gina K and the sentiment is SU.  I used Oxide ink for my background.

Please come on over to JUGS and join us and I can assure the other ladies did a much better job than I.

Touch of Red

I am so in love with the topping we have starting today over at Seize the Birthday! Glenda came up with this idea and now I think we should try it in every color of the rainbow!  Thanks Glenda! I wish you could see this card in real life, it has Wink of Stella on the flowers and is really pretty!

I am also linking this card up over at The Flower Challenge as their challenge is Spots or Stripes. This challenge inspired me a lot for this card!  I made a design similar to this one a few months back and thought it would work perfectly for this challenge.

Here are a few card details! Flowers-Stamplorations, the vase is Gina K., the stripes were made with a stencil and Oxide ink and a black pen for outline, Sentiment is Verve, the grey paper is embossed using a circle embossing folder from SU, flowers were colored with Prisma and Copics, you can’s see it but I have Wink of Stella on the flowers too, the rectangle dies are both MFT.

I sure hope you pop on over to Seize the Birthday and check out the amazing cards from my DT and guest Annie!  Speaking of Annie, I would like to thank you for being such an Amazing guest the past three months your cards have been fabulous and I know our followers enjoyed them too! I so look forward to having you being back in our gallery when you have the time. HEART HUGS!  Nanc’

Cozy and Warm

Hello all,  Here is my take on the Cozy and Warm topic going on over at CAS Christmas Card Challenge. When I think warm I think of the Sun and the Beach, and when I think Cozy I think of a warm hat. Well, I think my “Santa Claws” card works…don’t you?  Or do you think I may have stretched it a tad? LOL Either way, another Christmas card is complete! I must say the beach sand was quite challenging and if you only knew how many layers of color Copics and Colored Pencil I have under there you would be impressed.  I even used an eraser to pull some color off. It still isn’t the color I was going for and I will need to work on that in the future, but I still am happy with the contrast against the background sea. Who says a sun has to be Yellow?  I had this sun die in my bits and boxes for quite some time and I liked how it looked. There is even some glitter on his hat.

Going to also link this card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s time for Make your Mark.

Card Details:  Stamp set is from Stamplorations, the sun die is from Lawn Fawn and the shaped dies are MFT.  Copics and Colored Pencil.

Go have a creative day, Nanc’

Color Challenge @ MFT

Hello,  I am so glad I squeezed in sometime this weekend to play along with this fun color challenge at My Favorite Things. Plus, I can add one more completed Christmas card to my list. Woohoo! I only need a couple of more and I should be done. I still had this fun Die-cut set of MFT’s on my desk, and I had an idea rolling around in my head and thought it would be perfect in these colors.  I cut off the long string that comes with the bow die and added a round punch for the center. The rest of the dies are used as they come.

Card Details: All dies are from Filled with Joy from MFT and sentiment is from the matching stamp set, SU stitched rectangles, Paper is a mix of this and that, and gems to finish it off.

I am also linking this card up over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge/Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by and now go have a creative day, Nancy

Shades of Teal

We have a fun Color Challenge this week at Just Us Girls.  The object is to use any or all shades of teal on your card and or project.  I love teal, so when I saw this challenge I was super excited that I even made two cards. I just adore this MFT set and knew this year I had to get it out once again and make some more Christmas cards with it.  All the paper is from SU, and is a few years old, but a pack that I truly salvage every little piece of.  The snowflake is a punch.  I sure hope you will consider coming by JUGS and joining us! The team has some beautiful cards this week! Nanc’

Here is my other card!

Holiday Greenery

Hello,  I am absolutely thrilled to be guesting this month at The Twofer Challenge.  This is a challenge that I absolutely love and look so forward to each and every month!  I love that this challenge pushes my creativity and to think outside the box! Thanks so much Darnell for having me!  The words this time around are Holiday Greenery, which is perfect for this time of year!  My cards are a little more straight forward this month, as last month I created colorful paint splatters out of dripping chocolate.

There is a TWIST this month a Twofer Normally, you need to make two cards for two different occasions. Because so many of us are madly working on Christmas/holiday cards, for this month only, they are forgoing that element of Twofer!  So for this challenge, you may enter two of the same occasion cards! Or you make stick to the traditional format as I have done above.

Here are a few of my card details:  The Pointsettia die is from Memory Box, the stitched frames are from MFT, the Joyous sentiment is from Art Impressions, the thank you is from MFT, the leaves are from Stampin Up, and the Pinecones are from Verve. Some Nuvo drops and Wink of Stella for some added sparkle.

You must hurry on over to the Twofer Blog and check out all the amazing cards from the Design Team…I know they will inspire you to join us!  Can’t wait to see what you decide to do! The Twofer traditional way or the Twist!

Now, Go Create an Amazing Day, Nanc’

Anything but a Card

Hello,  I know Halloween has passed, but I knew what I created last month for my Stampin Up ladies would work perfectly for this week’s challenge at Just Us Girls. I made 25 of these to hand out after club where I was the hostess.  I found this idea over on Pinterest.

Here are a few details:  The hair was made with MFT-grass, I used punches for all my circles, a little ink distressing, corner rounding and ribbon and I was done.

Come check out all the amazing projects this week at JUGS!

Happy Birthday @ STB

Over at Seize the Birthday, we have a new topping starting today.  JoAnn has picked Off the Edge this time around and you can interpret that in many ways. For example, your design can be off the edge of your card, or your top mat, or you can stamp an image so that only part is showing and part of it is cut off like I have done above.  We have some amazing cards over at STB that are sure to inspire you with an idea of your own. Come join us!

Here are my card details: Hydrangea is from Gina K., the sentiment is from Scrapbook.com, the rectangle frame is MFT, the enamel dots are from SU, colored with Copics and colored pencils.

Go create an amazing day, Nanc’

JOY

Today’s card is a CAS card for the Tis the Season CAS Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers.  It had been a while since I pulled out this fun die-cut set from MFT, and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  I made a card similar to this one last year.  I think Red and Gold are such a great combo for the Holidays. I love the look of inlay die-cutting, don’t you? A few Nuvo drops and I was done.

Finally, a cold front went through last night and hubby and I are off to do something outdoors! Haven’t been wanting to do that in forever!

Thanks for stopping by now go create an amazing day,   Nanc’
