Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the added bonus of an extra day off!  I have a quick post for you featuring a sketch from iSpy Sketches.  I wish I could say I love the way this card came together…….but I was told not to tell lies! LOL  I was messing with my SU water colored Pencils and this is what I came up with.  I actually drew the flower..it’s not a stamp. I am going to try this technique again after some much needed practice!   Did I mention though I do love the sketch as I always do.  You still have plenty of time to join us at iSpy!!  Please won’t you!!!

Have a great week my friends,

Freshly Made…literally

Hello Stampers,  Happy Sunday!  I snuck away to the studio today and made this card for the Sketch Challenge #36 over at Freshly Made.  I love the DP and I think the added hearts work well with it!  The decorative stem is made with my Cricut!  I have an after wedding celebration coming up next month and think it will be just perfect!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Retro times 2

Here are the final 2 cards that I made last weekend and they are for a Sketch Challenge over at Retro Sketches.  LOVE, LOVE this challenge blog!  The first card is for a school teacher’s retirement, and the other card is made for a friend of mine who recently lost her father.

I am excited to have a 3 day weekend ahead of me and hope to have some time to be

creative again, along with some family time of course!

Hope you enjoy your weekend too, and thanks for checking in!

Gotta Love Punches

I have a real simple card today using one of my favorite MS punches, as I have stated before I can’t stop using it!  Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for the bouquet idea (it’s brilliant), I  saw it on Pinterest, but I am pretty happy with the outcome.  I made this card for 2 different challenges.  The 1st one is for a color challenge at CR84FN, and the 2nd one is for Casual Fridays Challenge to use punches.  If you have never visited either of these sites, I encourage you to do so….they are both GREAT and always intrigue me!

Happy Stamping,

Stamping Sunday

I had a great day in the studio and managed to make 6 cards for 6 different challenges around the globe.  But the card  I am posting today is for Freshly Made Sketch #35 challenge.  I love to make cards that incorporate 3 panels and this one does just that.  I  can’t stop making my paper flowers with my MS punch and they are on just about everything I create now. HELP! I’m addicted!  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps, the DP I have had FOREVER and the Cuttlebug folder is one of my FAVS!

Have a great week and hope you find some time to be creative !

Love, Love this Sketch!

I know I have mentioned before that I really like the Sketches over at ispy sketches and this one is no exception.  I immediately knew I was going to make  some time to play along as soon as I saw it!  I loved the sketch so much that I decided to make 2 cards!  Not sure which one I like best, but the son voted for the green one!  He’s usually right!  🙂

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and visit and for the wonderful comments,

Hope you have an amazing day my friends,

Graduation Time

Hope everyone had a fantastic Mother’s Day.  I had one of the best Mother’s Day that I can remember!  It didn’t involve expensive gifts or going out to dinner, but instead we did everything together as a family…….ie: making breakfast as a family, shopping, Starbucks, Ice Cream and then my son and I made dinner together.  We laughed and talked and just enjoyed each other’s company.  I am truly blessed.

Ok, onto the real reason you are here.

Graduation time is here and my son has a few cards he is needing for his friends.  So this card is for the Challenge over at Stamp TV to make a card using a charm of some kind.  Well that was something I have never done, so I jumped on board!  It is really little and hope you can find it on the card. LOL  The young man we are giving it to plans to go into music in college and was the Junior Drum Major with Tyler in Band so I felt a musical note was appropriate.  The background Stamp is also from Stamp Tv and is called Inspiration Mosaic and I have used it quite a lot, it is so versatile.

Have a great week,

OWH: What to do with cards you don’t want!

Hello Stampers…Hope all of you are doing well!  Don’t have a card for you right now, but was wondering if you would join me in this quest???

I have recently joined this great site called Operation Write Home and to make a long explanation short…what happens is the cards that we have made that we no longer want, well they get sent to the troops that are serving all over the world for our country, and in turn they send them home to their families and friends.  Isn’t that just an awesome cause!   So my point is…if anyone wants to ship me their cards that they no longer want and they are A2 envelope size I would be happy to take them off your hands and ship them to the appropriate people. Also, I will provide the envelopes too!!!!. Or you can join me and ship them yourselves.   They do have a couple guidelines….no glitter, not bulky cards, and if they are made with dark cardstock we have to line them with white so the troops can write messages to their family.  I was so excited when I came across this great site!!

Here is a link  above and if you want to check it out yourself and if you have any questions or need my address, let me know!!!

1,601,798 handcrafted cards have been deployed since 2007!  Isn’t that AWESOME!!!
