Get Well Soon

Hello Friends,  It’s color week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has a great combo for all of us and perhaps you too!  They are: Grey, Coral and the third color is your choice. My third color I chose was white.  I am not happy with the way this card photographed but it’s no longer available to retake, so it is what it is.

The butterflies and sentiment are from Verve and the DP is a bit of this and that! The EF and circle dies are SU.

Now, come on over to JUGS and join us…we would love to have you!  You may even be chosen as our next Chic of the Week!

Monochrome at The Flower Challenge

Hello,  Hope your day is going well!  Today’s card all started with the negative piece of my very last card I posted.  I also wanted to join in this months The Flower Challenge where the theme is Monochrome.  It’s always fun and a bit challenging to me to make a card in basically all one color, but when it’s pink, it makes it all that much easier. LOL I found this glittery pink heart in a bit box on my desk and I knew it was going to be the perfect added touch.  I made the banner myself with a left over piece of scrap too. How many bit boxes do you have in your craft room? I have several, and vow to organize them by summers end…I can’t throw anything away.

A few card Details:  SU Paper that was colored with Oxide Inks, MFT Stitched Flowers, Verve sentiment and U die.

I hope you find sometime to get creative! Nanc’

CAS Christmas

Hello Friends, I have another Christmas card to share with you today and it’s for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge.  The word they have for us this month is Poinsettia. I have this intricate poinsettia stamp from Verve that I just love and thought it might do the trick. I heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I decided to pair it up with this bold Alcohol ink paper that I made a few weeks ago. Besides being bow challenged it came out alright. I am going to put my Christmas greeting on the inside. The one inch stitched square die is from SU. The outer rectangle is from MFT.

I am also linking my card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s time for Clean and Simple.

Here is another one I made in a different color.

Thanks for stopping in! Nanc’

Heartfelt Thanks

Got a quick post for you today for the great Sketch over at The Paper Players Challenge along with day 25 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge. I have missed three out of the 25 days, but I am pretty happy with those results.  Hopefully, I can finish strong. I colored the above image with Prisma Colored pencils.  This is one of my go to images and color combos with this particular stamp. It’s one of my favs!  Love the look of sandpaper on white core paper. If you haven’t tried it you must!

Details: EF-Elizabeth Craft Designs, Flower Stamp-Hearfelt Creations, Sentiment-Verve, Oval Die-SU, Wonky Rect.-MFT

Take care, Nanc’

I love you….

Hello, Have we got a fun Inspiration Photo for you all this week at Just Us Girls! Isn’t it the cutest owl you have ever seen?  Well, made out of fruit that is! LOL. I really enjoyed getting out my Owl punch from SU to put this card together.  I also, used my MFT cloud stencil for the background and this fun stamp set that I have used for my branch and blossoms is from Darcies. The sentiment, leaves and tags are from my Verve collection. The leaves aren’t uniform, I just realized….some are round and some are pointed. LOL The leaf paper is from Gina K.

I am also linking my card up over at The Card Concept where they have the cutest owl pillows as their inspiration. I pulled out the bright colors for my blossoms and of course the owls themselves. I guess you would call this Clean and Layered.

I sure hope this adorable picture inspires you and I will see you in our gallery at Just Us Girls.  Take care, Nanc’

Birthday Greetings!

Hi,  Hope you week has been good so far!  I am hanging in there best I can.  Let’s just say my health has not been cooperating over the past few months and I am losing my patients to say the least.  The doctors and I can’t seem to get to the bottom of it all. I will not bore you with the entire saga, I just need to catch a break real soon. Preferably before vacation comes around! Anyhoo, you didn’t stop by to read my woes.

Today’s card got rather busy.  It was not my intention to have quite so many layers, but here you have them. The cupcake and the cute little envelope are from Verve.  As I am typing this I am trying to figure out where Birthday came from and I am stumped. I guess that means I officially have TOOOOOO MANY STAMPS! Shhhhh! My hubby might hear you! LOL

Don’t look to closely at my novo drops on my icing, they kinda got messy and over done!

I hope you will consider coming on over to Seize the Birthday and join us for our Anything Goes challenge…as long as it’s birthday related. Also before I go, I need to say a huge thank you to SonjaK for being an Amazing Surprise Party Guest the past two months! We have really enjoyed having you!  Please don’t be a stranger!   Take care, Nanc’

Alcohol Inks!

Hello,  Hope you are having a great day! Have you jumped on the Alcohol Ink band wagon yet?  You probably have, as I am usually pulling up the rear when it comes to Crafty trends. LOL. Bobby over at Just Us Girls picked that as our Trend this week, and boy oh boy am I enjoying them. I started out with a three pack and realized right away that that wasn’t going to be enough.  I ran out the very next day and bought more. I made a total of 7 cards that day, but am only sharing two.

Here is the other one!  My only regret, is I decided at the last minute to put some alcohol ink on the above butterfly, as I felt it was to plain but immediately following my first droplet I remembered that the butterfly is made out of regular Card Stock and not glossy Card Stock. Rats!!! Well I think that is what I said. LOL After the first drop, I had no choice but continue the rest of the butterfly. I should have just cut out another butterfly and tried again but I will know better next time!

Please come over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team and our Guest Hannelie have done. If you haven’t tried them you really must, or you can make your own  using a nib of a sharpie, and Bobby has so kindly linked those instructions up for us over at JUGS.  Take care, Nanc’

Beachy Birthday

Hello, Hope your day is off to a great start.  It’s time once again for our next Challenge over at Seize the Birthday.  The topping we have for you today is Beachy Birthday.  Perfect for this time of the year, don’t you think!  I have made it to the beach a couple of times already and it’s only been a week of summer vacation. Not to shabby.  Of course none of my flip flops are as cute as these. LOL

Here are some card details: Sentiment is Verve, Flip Flops are Impression Obsession, Square stitched die and scalloped punch are both SU.

Have a fabulous day and you MUST run on over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the Beachy cards this week! They are really FABULOUS!  Nanc’

Smile!

Hello, One thing I like about Summer is that I get the chance to play in some of the challenges that I am always admiring,  but rarely get to join in on.  Today I decided to play along with Freshly Made Sketches.  I incorporated that challenge with my 30 Day Coloring Challenge-Day 3.  I am so enjoying making CAS cards these days and this one is just that.  I decided to get out my Copics and do minimal colors on this pretty flower from Verve and I like the way they turned out.  Speaking of Verve, Julee Tilman has decided to close Verve after over a Decade of Heart and Dedication.  I admire this lady more than she knows and instead of me getting all sappy over here and reiterating what she said, I have linked up her goodbye message for you to read. Let’s just say if it wasn’t for Julee, I wouldn’t be stamping or have the friendships I have today. I owe a great deal to her! So over the next month or so, you will be seeing a lot of Verve, as I want to pay tribute to her and her fabulous line of stamping products.  My only regret on this card is that I should have re-stamped the flower  in black as the images lost some of their luster.  However, I probably would have totally screwed it up. LOL

This flower is Verve and from the set called One Person.  The die Smile is from MFT.

Do Something Creative Today, Nanc’
