Happy New Year!

Hello,  Happy New Year to you all!  I hope your New Year is off to a great start! It’s time for our first post of 2018 over at Seize the Birthday and we are starting the year with our Anything Goes Challenge. Just remember it needs to be a Birthday theme.

I have had this piece of DP in my scraps for so long, and I was determined to find a place on a card for it, and I finally did. I paired it up with some Verve leaf dies and a sentiment, a SU EF and circle die, and some MFT flowers.  Some gold Nuvo drops to top it off.

Before I go I would also like to welcome Kristie Goulet as our Surprise Party Guest over at STB.   I have been a HUGE fan of Kristie’s for the past 8 years and am thrilled to have her guesting with us these next two months.  She is really talented and her blog Kreative Kristie is linked up for you! Please run on over and check it out!

We also have a NEW Design Team Member that I am super excited about at STB! Not only is she a hoot she is talented too! Welcome Lindsey M-P from Bashful Blogging. Please won’t you go by and check out her blog as well!

Hope to see you around the gallery at STB! Hugs, Nanc’

Reindeer Games…

Hello Friends, I hope you are having a good start to the week! I wanted to share with you the card I made for the Fusion Card Challenge Inspiration Photo.  I just love the color combo of Kraft and Red together, so I knew right away I wanted to play along. I had intended to follow the sketch as well, but somehow I lost focus and added too many additional layers. Please tell me you do that too? I just adore this little Rudolph stamp that I colored with Copics. Then I decided I would frame him in and have him playing in a snow bank.  I thought my strips of added paper did a good job with the gingham you see all over the photo. Some sparkly snowflakes, Nuvo drops, and a Verve sentiment and I was all done.

Thanks for checkin’ on me and have a wonderful day!

I am back to the studio, as I need about a dozen more cards! Nanc’

Merry Monday Times 3!

When I saw the colors that Colleen chose over at Merry Monday I knew I had to take the time to play along! I had so much fun with these colors that I couldn’t stop. I think the one I showcased up top came out the best, but here are the other two as well.

The supplies are a mix and match of this and that.  The ornaments and sentiments are all Verve.  The two trees are stamps I picked up at a LSS. I started off sponging my backgrounds with some various inks and then did some heat embossing. All Christmas cards need a little shimmer so I used some silver glitter paper too!

I sure appreciate you stopping by, Hope your day is completely fabulous! Nanc’

More Christmas!

I just love making Christmas Cards….How about you? I took advantage of the long Holiday weekend and got some more Christmas cards made.  I rarely get a chance to play along with card challenges these days and am thrilled that I found these two to jump start my mojo! I will be linking up with the Sketch over at Viva la Verve and the gorgeous picture you will see below at The Card Concept.

I just love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colors. The wreath on my card is something I picked up along the way at some LSS store and the holly and sentiment is from Verve. I added some Nuvo drops for my berries ( which I am addicted to), a tiny bow from Paper Smooches, and some shiny paper here and there and I was done!  I don’t know about you but I LOVE sketch challenges they really help me throw a card together!  Hope you have a truly fabulous day! Watercolour Holiday!

Finally!  I have been eyeing this challenge over at CAS Watercolour and I finally had the opportunity to play along. I got out one of my all time favorite Verve stamps and my watercolors and went to work. I love working with these ornaments so much that each and every Christmas I have to make a card with them. The music background stamp never lets me down. ( It has no name on it so I don’t know who’s it is.) I added a few Nuvo drops and some sparkly bows from a Die-cut from Paper Smooches, some banners from MFT, and I was done.

If you have not heard of the CAS Watercolour Challenge….You MUST go check it out!  The team is super talented!!!  What I also love about it, is it’s a month long!

Hugs, Nanc’

Some people….

Hello Friends, Over at Just Us Girls Judy has chosen a fabulous photo for us/you to be inspired by! As soon as I saw this picture I knew exactly what DP I was going to be using! I also got out some of my favorite Verve stamps and dies to get my creative juices flowing. This card is very simple, but I like the way it came together.

Please go over and check out what the rest of the team did over at Just Us Girls and I hope you get inspired to join us!

Take care, Nanc’

Prayers…

Hello Friends, It’s indeed Saturday and time for the latest challenge at Just Us Girls.  Vicki has picked a typical Halloween color combination, but I was in need of a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her husband recently, so I took that route instead. I like how it came together and have made quite a few cards since then using this same layout.

My card is a mix of many companies, so if you have any questions just give me a shout out!

Hope to see you over at JUGS!  Nanc’

Hello Friends,  It’s already Thursday and time for our next Topping at Seize the Birthday! What we have for you this time, is to use Ocean Colors on your card and or project. Shower is the Word

Hello Friends, It’s Word week at Just Us Girls and the word is Shower.  As you can tell from the card above, I went with Baby Shower. I actually made 4 of these cards, two girls and two boys.  They are fast and fun to do.  The DP is from Stampin Up and I have been using it so sparingly, as I love it so much and it’s no longer available. The boat and sentiment are from Verve! The circle dies are either Nestabilities or SU.

Please come on over to JUGS and check out the rest of the teams cards and while you are there help us welcome our new Guest-Darnell!  She is one of the funniest and kindest ladies in blog land!! If you are not familiar with her you MUST visit her blog! I have it linked for you! We are so lucky to have her with us this month!  Take care, Nanc’
