Hello Friends, It’s Wildcard Week at Just Us Girls and Judy is our hostess! I love the challenge she picked out for us…it’s Paper Piecing! Since graduation time is fast approaching I thought it was time to get a head start. This card was so much fun to put together. I started with this AWESOME paper pack from Stampin Up. The boat and tag die is from Verve and the Happy Graduation is from SU too. My waves were made with my Creative Memories cutter and as you probably can tell, I can’t get enough of my MFT stitched rectangles! I think I use them on just about every card! I hope you will consider joining us this week at JUGS! I also want to say a quick farewell to Laurie, she has been with us as a guest this month and has done such a fabulous job! Happy Crafting! Nanc’
Hello Friends, We have a fun Topping for you this time over at Seize the Birthday. What I have asked the team and our guest Anita to do is to add two patterned papers to their card and or project. Easy peasy huh? I hope if you are reading this, you will consider joining us sometime over the next two weeks! Plus you must go check out what the team has created! They are so very talented! For my card…. I mixed and matched a lot of companies. I have MFT (scalloped and border die), Verve (word die and cupcake), Elizabeth Craft Design (candles), and Stampin Up (sentiment). The paper is from who knows where??? I have so many pieces of scraps that I am determined to put to good use…before they swallow me up alive! I used some Wink a Stella and some sparkly glitter for the top of my cupcakes! Can’t have a cupcake without sprinkles!
Take care and happy stamping, Nanc’
Hello Friends, We have a fun topping starting today over at Seize the Birthday and that is to use Vellum on your card and or project! Easy huh? I first want to clarify that this card was not my original idea! Below is the GORGEOUS card I CASED! I can’t find the original post! I know it’s from someone I follow regularly. Looks like a Laurie Schmidlin card from Just Give Me Stamps if you ask me, but I can’t be certain! Heavy sigh! Any hoozal…life must go on! My card is for a dear friend of mine that is turning 80 very soon. The stitched rectangle, banner dies, flowers, and floral leaf are all from MFT. The bow is from Paper Smooches and the vellum tag was cut with my SU tag punch and scalloped with my Fiskars victorian blade. The Happy Birthday that I divided is from Verve. Such a quick and fun card to put together. I think before I stick it in the mail it needs some bling!
Have a great day and please come and join us at Seize the Birthday…my teammates and Surprise Party Guest Anita did a fabulous job! Happy Stamping! Nanc’
Hello, I have a super quick post for you today! I saw this GREAT color combo over at Just Add Ink and wanted to see if I could put something together for a dear co-worker that is having a terrible time. I let my fingers do the walking through Pinterest and decided to come up with something similar to Kay Miller’s card below…isn’t it gorgeous? Not overly happy with my pink flowers, as I started off watercoloring them and then decided to go over it with prisma colored pencil. It will have to do! The flowers and leaves are from Altenew and the sentiment is Verve. Have a wonderful day! Nanc’
Hello Friends, I am going to sneak in a quick post this evening just hours before this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch comes to a close. I just recently got this great Coffee stamp set and two die cuts from Verve and I couldn’t wait to use them for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I doubled the Coffee die for some depth and cut the sentiment in half to help stay with the sketch. Not only is this set simply awesome, but Julee the owner of Verve sent me these pieces of Designer Paper with my order too. Love them! Thanks Julee! You will be seeing another card made with these great papers very soon. This card is rather simple and I felt it needed something else, but I just decided to leave it be before I ruined it. Sometimes too much is too much! Ya know what I mean?
This is my second post of the day…if you are looking for Just Us Girls please scroll down!

Hello Friends, What a glorious week we have had weather wise for Spring Break! It has been simply Amazing…the weather and the time off! Everyday, hubby and I have done something out of the ordinary and special so it’s made for a great week! It all started last weekend when we went down to Naples for a couple of days. My good friend and fellow DT member at STB- Barbara Campbell and her hubby spend their winters here in Florida, and Barb (my Birthday sister) and I make it a yearly tradition to see one another. This year we ended are fabulous day of breakfast and craft shopping with a fantastic dinner, where we included our Hubbies too! We all hit it off so well and had a terrific time! Barb’s hubby Tom is as sweet as he can be, just like her! Can’t wait till next year when we get to do it again. Here is a pic of all of us together.
Now a bit about my card! Over at Just Us Girls it’s Photo Week and that is where the inspiration for my card came to be. The stamps are all from Verve except for the script background. I found a piece of that butterfly paper and thought it worked out well. I fussy cut my tea pot, then tried to cut out a butterfly to put on the tea pot, but it just didn’t look right, so I went with a flower instead.
I am also going to be linking up my card over at the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! The have over 60 sponsors! Yes I said 60+! BTW you are allowed to link up TEA and Hot Cocoa cards too! You have to go and check it out!
Thanks for coming by and checkin on me! I am off to Pre-season B-Ball game this afternoon. Better go lather up in sun screen! HUGS! Nanc’
Hello Friends, It’s Color Week over at Just Us Girls and I am in love with this color combo that Lisa has chosen. I decided to CASE myself this week and make a card that is similar to a couple I had done years ago. I have a very large variety of products here, so if you have any questions let me know. Hubby and I are off to Naples for the weekend. He is going to go golfing and I am going to spend the day with my birthday sister. I am so looking forward to it! Going to make this short and sweet, as I need to go and pack. Happy Creating….and I hope to see you at JUGS! Nanc’
Hello Friends, I have a rather quick card for you this week as I am still in recovery mode from Balloon Sinuplasty Surgery and what you see above is about all I could muster up. The doctor assured me that this procedure would be life changing and make my Chronic Sinus issues so much better, and I am going to hold him to his word! The surgery was a success (so they say), despite the O.R. being 3 1/2 hours behind schedule and at the hospital for nearly ten hours for an outpatient procedure, getting completely sick from the anesthesia, and having a heck of a time coming to in the recovery room. The finally kicked me out at 6 o’clock. I think they thought I weighed 240 lbs. instead of 140, as this girl did not want to wake up. I am anxious to go for my follow-up on Monday as I’m not feeling so well as of yet. I was back to work on Tuesday, since we had Monday off for President’s Day and to say it’s been a long short week, would be an understatement. Okay, you didn’t stop by to read me whine now did you? Sorry about that!
Please come on over to Just Us Girls and join us for Photo Week, the team and our guest Michele have done an amazing job! Thanks for being with us this month Michele…we have enjoyed it and hope you have too! The card was made with stamps/dies from Verve. The larger leaf die is from SU???…..but don’t hold me to it!
Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’
Hello Friends, I have been eyeing this sketch over at Mojo Monday and finally found sometime to play along. In addition, Julee Tilman from Verve has so graciously once again created a FREE digi set for us to use! You can find it HERE! It’s till available for a few more days, so you must go and get it before it’s to late! She also has a Love From Me challenge and giveaway going on with her digi set over at the Verve Blog! I fell in love with the sentiment that I used on both of my cards instantly! It made a perfect Valentine for my hubby, since he is indeed my best friend. I just have to decide which one I am going to give to him, probably the one with the paintbrush. I combined her free set with some Stampin Up paper and oval and circle stitched dies, a MFT stitched heart die and scalloped border die, my favorite Verve heart border die, and two stamp sets called Positive Strokes and I Heart Art from Paper Smooches. I cut two heart border dies one back and one white for the second card and glued back in the white hearts so as not to see all the paper and such behind the openings. I paper pieced the paintbrush.
I sure hope you will swing on by the blogs that I have linked up for you and take advantage of Julee’s kindness. Thanks so very much Julee, I will be using the digi again soon! Take care, Nanc’
