Some Days…

Hello friends,  I am the hostess once again over at Just Us Girls but this time for Photo Week!  I can’t wait to see what everyone does with this gorgeous sunflower picture. The design team and our fabulous guest Patti have once again made some amazing cards!  You must check them out!

Speaking of Patti….This is our last post with Patti (our guest) and I sure hope she joins us again in our gallery from time to time as we love her work.

This fabulous image on my card was colored with Prisma colored pencils. I think it is from Stampendous, but I can’t be 100% certain as it isn’t mine and has been on my desk to color for eons!!!

Please won’t you join us at JUGS!  Take care, Nanc’

Patterned Paper!

Hello Everyone, We have a fun an quite easy topping this time around over at Seize the Birthday. All you have to do is use patterned paper on your card and or project. I just went through ALL of my paper a few weeks back and purged some that I have no idea why I bought in the first place. LOL I brought a huge stack to school and gave it to the Pre-K teachers, they were in hog heaven.  The paper I used on this card is from Stampin Up, and one that I thought was still pretty enough. LOL Isn’t if funny how are tastes change over time?  One minute you are crushing on teal and the next minute it’s purple. Well, I am a huge fan of teal and I thought it paired nicely with yellow and brown.

Anyhoozal, My supplies for this card are either; Stampin Up-paper, circle die, intricate floral die and floral stamp, MFT- flowers, Verve-sentiment.

Please come check out the rest of my teams fabulous cards, along with our Surprise Party Guest SonjaK! They are something special!

Take care, One more week of school! WoohOOOO! Nanc’

Color Week!

Hello Friends, Boy the days are flying by and it’s time for another challenge over at Just Us Girls!  It’s also nearly summer break and I couldn’t be more ready for that! Only one more week! The photo above stinks and the card is long gone, so you will just have to trust me that it’s brighter and looks better in person. I just adore this color combo that Lisa has chosen for us this week.

I hope you will consider joining us over at JUGS!  Who knows you might be selected as our new Chic of the Week too.  Take care, Nanc’

Card details:  Stampin UP dies and sentiment and MFT- Cover plate.

Stencils!

Hello, Hope your weekend is off to a great start! It’s time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Angie has asked us this week to use stencils on our card and or project! Easy huh! Who doesn’t have a pile of stencils laying around? The stencil I chose for my card is the heart from Heidi Swapp. This card was made for my Hubster!  He has been very patient with me over the past several months, as I have not been well, and I don’t know what I would do without him. He is a keeper for sure! I do not own this adorable otter from MFT, but when my good friend and fellow STB DT member Barb was down in Florida this past winter, she let me ink up this adorable set and take some images back home with me.  Thanks Barbara!!!  I used my oxide inks for the background, and a mixture of Copic and Prisma Colored pencils for the cute little otter. I am not quite sure how I feel about the clear Nuvo drops…I think I got carried away!

Please come on over to Just Us Girls and join the team and our fabulous guest Patti Kehl this week, who knows you might be chosen as our next Chic of the Week! Happy crafting, Nanc’

Happy 25th!

Hello, It’s almost the weekend! Woohooo!  Today over at Seize the Birthday our topping is ” It’s Just A Number.”  Before I decided what I was going to do for my card, I got out some of my all time Favorite DP from Stampin Up to help me get my creative juices flowing, and it worked. A friend asked me to make her a card for her son that was turning 25 this month. The anchor is also from SU.  The numbers were made with an olddddddddd Sizzix die.  The button is MFT.

Before I go I would like to welcome our new Surprise Party Guest for the next two months.  She is very well known in the Card making blogosphere…..SonjaK. We are so happy to have you with us!  You must visit her blog, she does fabulous work!!

Take care, Nanc’

A Note to Say…

Hello, We have a fun word this week over at Just Us Girls!  SHADOWS! As you can hopefully see in my picture, I have chosen to stamp with two colors to create subtle shadows under the water, the grass and the leaves. This was a very quick card to put together.  I used my MFT Wonky Rectangles to then cut out my stamped image panel, added a sentiment, and I was done.

I would like to say a HUGE welcome to Patti Kehl !  I am a huge fan of her work and she is such a sweetheart to boot! She is our guest this month over at Just Us Girls…lucky us!! Please help us welcome her by stopping by her blog and leaving her some love!

This card is made with a Stampin Up set called Fabulous Flamingos and the Wonky Rectangles are from MFT.

See you over at JUGS! Nanc’
