Congrats on your Retirement

As the school year is coming to an end, I have been in the need of a few Retirement cards.  I was blog surfing to my usual challenge sites that I follow, and I came across Stamp Ink Paper’s 100th Challenge.   I knew this was going to be perfect for the card I had in my head.   By the way….Congrats to them and their Design Team for such a milestone!   I grabbed one of my all time favorite butterfly sets from Verve, my favorite color combo of Kraft and shades of Aqua, Pool Party Ink, and one of the best techniques-heat embossing and went to work.  Here are a few more details: The sentiment I chose is from Stampin Up and the leaf die is from Verve as well, plus I can’t make a card these days without my stitched rectangles from MFT. Look at the DP, isn’t it awesome? So basically the entire card was made from some of my favorite supplies!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend however you wish to spend it!  Take care,  Nanc’

Wedding on the Brain!

Hello Friends,  I am hosting this week at Just Us Girls and we are in full fledge wedding planning at our house, so the Photo I was inspired by this week, fits my mind set perfectly! I hope you enjoy it!  Remember, you don’t have to make a Wedding card per say, however the photo inspires you is all you need to do!  All the products you see here are from SU. This card was very tough to photograph because of the shimmery silver paper and the silver embossing powder, but what can you do! Please come on over and join my fellow teammates and I this week!

Take care, Nanc’

Something Sweet!

DSC_0171

Hello Everyone, We have a fun topping for you this time around over at Seize the Birthday! The topping is something Sweet!  Easy and delicious …huh?  This card came together rather quickly once I found this great DP in my stash. My cupcake has this awesome sprinkle glitter on it ( it’s one of those things you find in the bottom of your craft box, and it’s amazing, and you know you will never be able to find it again ) it almost looks good enough to eat!  I have used many different companies on my card, I tend to do that a lot! Let me know if you have any questions about what is what!

You MUST come on over to STB and check out the DT’s cards…They are all fabulous!

School is nearly out and I have a three day weekend ahead of me! Yippee! Take care, Nanc’

Color Week is My Fav!

Hello Friends,  I hope you had a great week and are ready to get crafty this weekend!  Have I got a perfect color combo for you!  This week is Color week at Just Us Girls (my favorite of our challenges by the way) and the lovely Judy has sure picked out a good one!  I have been in a watercoloring mood as of late, so that is what I have for you today! The beautiful stamp and sentiment are both from Stampin Up. At first when I saw this very large stamp in the set called Rose Wonder, I was a bit compuzzled on how I was going to use it, as it takes up the majority of the space on a card.  However, those fears were quickly squashed when I came up with this CAS layout.  I will be using it again and again that is for sure!

I sure hope you will pop on over to Just Us Girls and check out what the team did this week!  Happy crafting,  Nanc’

Fabulous….

Hello Friends,  It’s another Saturday and time for our next Just Us Girls challenge.  It’s trend week and Sue has asked us to make a background using any type of inks we might own.  I used mostly Stampin Up products to make my background, as I am not fortunate enough to have any of Tim Holtz new Oxide inks!   Some day!  Anyhoo, I started off with a piece of watercolored paper and sponged some soft colors together. Then I took a circle stencil and some shimmery silver ink (which you can’t see in the photo very well) and added my smaller circles. There are also faint white circles in the background as well! The sentiment is also from SU and the paintbrush is from Paper Smooches.  It was all framed in nicely with the negative from my scalloped MFT rectangles.

Please join us over at JUGS this week, I would really love that!

Thanks for stopping by…it means the world to me!

You Make Life Magical…

Hello Friends, It’s time again for another fun challenge over at Seize the Birthday! The topping for this go around is Creatures or Animals.  I will say that this MFT stamp set inspired my topping idea! Aren’t these dragons just the cutest?  My family and I have a thing for dragons. I will be saving this card for my son’s birthday for sure! He will love it even if he’s 25. LOL Over at STB we have a new Surprise Party Guest joining us…her name is Cathy Roffey. Also, one of our fabulous DT members is also back with us!  Yippee! Welcome Back Patti! I am over the top excited that you are back!  Okay, about my card….I colored this cute little images with my Prisma colored pencils and the clouds are from Lawn Fawn.  I use the negative pieces from my MFT rectangle scallops for the double frame.  Come on by STB and check out the amazing cards from the entire team and consider joining us!

I so appreciate all your visits,  Happy Stamping! Nanc’

Mother’s Day!

Hello Friends, Happy weekend! I am exhausted….don’t know about you all?  I thought this week would never end!  Over at Just Us Girls this week our word is Mother! You are going to have to trust me that the above card is indeed a Mother’s Day card as I forgot to take a picture of the inside. I am not a huge fan of Mother’s Day, having lost my mother so long ago.  This card and a few others that I made and failed to photograph…grrrrr…. are up for sale at the local store I have mentioned in the past. The stamp is from Stampendous and the sentiment is one I ADORE from Stampin Up.

I hope you come over to JUGS and join us, and while you are there check out the rest of the teams cards, along with welcoming our new Guest Kathie Durgan.   Take care, Nanc’
