IMG_0040

I thought with October fast approaching it was time to get try my hand at some Halloween cards.

My card may not look simple…but let me tell you that once I had my

template drawn for my Witch Hat…the entire card

took about 15 minutes tops!

I punched out some stars, made a sentiment on my computer,

and added some distressing and I was done!

Hope you can join us over at CAS on Sunday !

The challenge runs for nearly two weeks so you have plenty of time!

Now pop on over to the blog and see what shape my fellow

CAS on Sunday designers

have gotten themselves into!

Have a fantastic day!

Let me just also say how much I appreciate all of my followers and commenters…

you truly make me smile each and every day!

Thanks so much!!

JUGS farewell…

IMG_0012

The sweetest, funniest one an only Elise picked out this great pic for our inspiration this week!

She is such a Farm girl…can you tell?

Unfortunately, the JUGS team is a little sad today because we are loosing two team mates!

Elise and Tangii!

Although, we are all very sad that Elise is leaving, we are thrilled at the same time because

she is so talented (you should see her draw!!), and she is off to take her god given talent

to a new level and is going back to school!

We are so happy about that and wish her all the luck in the world!

Tangii, is also sooooo UBER talented and has decided to move on and see where else her talent can take her!

No question in my mind she will do great things as well!

Elise and Tangii it has been a pleasure working alongside you both

Best of Luck!  You will be missed!!

So, I had to step up my game this week and see if I could be

half the artist Elise is…… I got out my Spectrum Noir pens and went to work!

The trees were an after thought…and I should have placed

them beneath the ripped paper…but it was to late! 😦

I made the sentiment with a small alphabet stamp set and

then punched them out with a SU label punch.

I picked up that great pumpkin stamp from Michaels.

Now, Hop on over to JUGS and see what my fellow teammates did

with this great photo and help us say farewell to Elise and Tangii !!!

Seize the Birthday with Ribbon for “Toppings”

It’s almost Friday you all…. and do I have a great challenge for you!

Over at Seize the Birthday this week our ” Topping” of choice is

Ribbon!

IMG_0011

Not just one piece of ribbon….we want to see more than one color ribbon!

Both pieces at the bottom of my card are ribbon and then I thought, how bout one

more and that’s when I added the double bow.

The Butterfly is from Inkadinkado.

I ran the orange paper through my Cuttlebug and then sanded the flowers.

That Picot dies is from Spellbinders.

The Dp is MMI…I do believe!

The label punch and sentiment is from Stampin up,

and some bling to finish it off!

Remember, over at Seize the Birthday there is Always a Birthday Party going on

and every once in a while we add a Toppings option…

but not a requirement!

a Birthday project…and will it be with or without ” Toppings?”

Also, while your over there….say hello to our newest design team member Colleen!

We are so glad she joined us!!!

I used this great sketch over at The Paper Players to get my mojo flowing!

CAS(E) Sketch #46

I have been eyeing this sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch for days!

This cute little turtle has been staring at me for over 4 months on

my desk…already colored mind you!  He has been saying,

“What are you waiting for lady?”

The coloring isn’t my best that is for sure, and I

have no idea which pens I would use to fix him…because it’s been so long!

So….as is he stays!!

Image

Image

Not sure if you can tell by the photo, but I used my spellbinders and cut

out the shape in the front of the card stock and then adhered the image on the

inside of the card.  Then decided it was to plain so I added some stars!

The image is from Bugaboo stamps!

I used my spectrum Noir Pens to color him!

Have a wonderful day!

Verve-Tic Tac Toe…Diva Dare

Hello Friends,

I have been eyeing this Verve Challenge

for over a week now…and snuck away to the

studio this afternoon and my ideas came

together beautifully!

I LOVE when that happens!

 I got out my most

favorite Verve Stamp set called…You and I

and this is what I did!

IMG_0001

DivaDareNoFrame150_LOGO

This is what the challenge is all about…..

So what we’re daring you to create this month is a card

or project using inspiration from a tic-tac-toe board.

For example:  x’s and o’s, hugs & kisses, squares, circles, grids, you get the idea.

The challenge doesn’t end till the 25th

so there is still time to play along!

If you don’t have any Verve Stamps….I HIGHLY recommend them

they have so many to choose from and the quality is

some of the best I have found!

I have the challenge and the store all linked up for you!

Here are some of my card details!

Cardstock: SU and Black-Scraps

Stamps: Verve-You and I

Tools: Cuttlebug, Cricut, MS border punch,

MFT- Button die cut,

SU-Sanding block and distresser

Acc: Hemp, doily and brads

Happy creating,

Who doesn’t love Sunflowers?

Happy Monday….LOL!

Today I am thrilled to share with you a card I was dabbling with on and off

all weekend.  Yes, it took me most of the weekend to finally get it to come

together the way I had envisioned.  LOL

The creative process began when I saw this week’s Dynamic Duos colors along with

a gorgeous Inspiration Photo….over at Curtain Call (I love sunflowers )…and

this week’s Muse card over at Case Study.

collage

Let me show you the card and then…. “I have some explaining to do!”

( read that in a Ricky Ricardo voice from Lucy) LOL

SF2

Sunflowers

SF3

When it comes to the Dynamic Duos…I sure hope it’s okay that I added brown in my card…

I noticed some of the Design Team had done the same. (Fingers crossed)

For Curtain Call….I am right on target my card screams inspiration from the photo!

The only thing missing is some burlap!  Need some of that!

Last, but not least….for the Case Study Muse card….I used the obvious flower as my inspiration and the fence mimics the

vertical stripes that are in the sample…I realize mine aren’t bright and bold…but I hope it will suffice!

Also, the vellum piece I replaced it with the 2 cross pieces on my fence.

Now, here are a few details of how I made my card!

The background woodgrain fence is a stamp from Stampabilites.

The sunflower is a stamp I have had for years that I got at a Garage sale….LOVE it!

I used my Spectrum Noir pens to color my flowers and then fussy cut them…don’t look to close!

Finally, that cool grass…is a die cut I got from Impression Obsession….Isn’t it the coolest!

Added the hemp and some distressing and Wahla!

Thanks for sticking with me, this was a long post, I so appreciate it!!!

Have a fantastic day!

Seize the Birthday with “Toppings”…and Seize the Sketch

1175095_10151587494757547_730720239_n

With or without….read on to find out more!

Linky badge

STB 19

Fellow crafters,

Today over at Seize the Birthday we have listened to our faithful

participants and have added this to our challenge…..

It’s an Anything Goes Birthday type of challenge with a “Toppings “ Option!

Remember that a Topping is infact an “Option” and not a requirement!

Because not everyone always wants a cherry on top…now do they??

So this week your “Toppings” option is

” Monochromatic.”

If you decide to add a topping to your Birthday card/project it

should exude one particular color of your choice!

Remember you can always add neutrals to your design!

So, Is your Birthday challenge going to be with or without toppings?

It’s your choice!

Hope to see you there!

Here is a link to get you started!

Seize the Birthday!

And my wonderful Team mates!

We had 172 participants last time…I wonder if we can ” Top” that?

Bahhahahhahahah

I am also linking this up to our sister blog…Seize the Sketch

STS-#3_01

That’s where I started my layout for my card!  I think I may

have gotten a little carried away with my flowers.

Loved the Sketch though!
