A Little Tic Tac Toe Today!

Hello Friends, I have a very easy and CAS card for you today! I was looking to get inky this morning with only a bit of time on my hands and I saw a Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Paper Players and I knew that would speed up the process.  I selected the center row of; Green, Die Cut and Leaves.   If you have any questions about my CAS card just give me a shout out!  I just may be back again in a day or so with another one! 😉

Take care and happy crafting! Nanc’

Happy Graduation!

Hello Friends, It’s Wildcard Week at Just Us Girls and Judy is our hostess!  I love the challenge she picked out for us…it’s Paper Piecing! Since graduation time is fast approaching I thought it was time to get a head start. This card was so much fun to put together. I started with this AWESOME paper pack from Stampin Up. The boat and tag die is from Verve and the Happy Graduation is from SU too. My waves were made with my Creative Memories cutter and as you probably can tell, I can’t get enough of my MFT stitched rectangles!  I think I use them on just about every card!  I hope you will consider joining us this week at JUGS! I also want to say a quick farewell to Laurie, she has been with us as a guest this month and has done such a fabulous job! Happy Crafting! Nanc’

Beachy Birthday!

Hello Friends,  Boy the weeks just keep flying by! It’s Thursday already, and time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday. We have NO Topping this time around, as long as it’s a Birthday card and or project, you are good to go!  I don’t know if I mentioned this here before, so if I have my apologies.  I am now selling my cards at a Local Boutique and Makers Market and it’s keeping me really, really, really busy!  The store is not even 5 miles from the beach, so the card above just so happens to be for the store. They say my beachy cards are popular…so I will oblige them!  The card is watercolored for the most part and highlighted here and there with Prisma colored pencils. The multi step palm tree stamps are from Kitchen Sink. The sentiment is my go to from Verve!

Before I go I hope you will consider joining us at Seize the Birthday, my team and our Surprise party guest Anita have done a fantastic job. Hope you will consider coming on by and checking it out for yourself! Happy Stamping, Nanc’

CAS Watercolour Challenge!

Hello Friends,  I have been eyeing this Challenge over at CAS Watercolour, and was delighted when I had sometime to play yesterday, that the challenge was still open! Yeah me! So I went straight to work and this is what I came up with.  I know I could have given the flowers a little more depth of color, but I was so afraid I would ruin it, that I decided to leave it be.  This card took me no time at all to create.  When you use heat embossing it sure makes it a breeze. I decided that it might be kinda fun to poke holes in the watercolor paper and tie a tag to the bouquet so to speak.  I think the tag came out perfectly. This stamp set is from Stampendous and is called Bouquet for You! I actually used only one stamp set and didn’t mix and match this time. It’s a rarity for sure!

I sure hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for dropping by! Nanc’

Happy New Home!

Hello Friends, It’a Photo Week over at Just Us Girls and here is how the photo inspired me. I must say I looked at this photo at least a half a dozen times before an idea came to me.  The first thing that stuck out with me in this photo was how prefect the home looked, as if it was New or in a showroom. (not lived in like mine for sure) LOL Then I was drawn to all the geometrics on the pillows and carpet.  I also loved the rocking chair and that is where my Khaki color came to be. I knew without a doubt I was going to be incorporating the flowers from the vases in my design also.  Finally, the white walls were mimicked with my brick wall EF.

Thanks so much for coming by and I sure hope to see you over at Just Us Girls sometime this week!  Take care, Nanc’

Color Week @ JUGS!

Hello Friends, Over at Just Us Girls Ina has a great color combo for us, and you for that matter!  She has selected Pink, Peach and Lemon.  By golly, if those colors don’t scream Spring and Easter, nothin’ does!  Of course, I didn’t go the Easter route, I went Spring and Birthday!  I have been stuck in a pattern lately of using strips of colors on my cards. I am really happy with this layout, in fact I made 4 additional ones in all different color combos. However, I am saving those just in case I need them down the road for another DT challenge.  Sometimes you have to have backups in your arsenal. You know what I mean?  The butterfly die is from Savvy, and the sentiment is my go to from Verve! This card was not my own and a case of this beautiful card Here!

Hope you will make your way over to Just Us Girls for this challenge!  Have a blessed Easter too! Hugs, Nanc’

Two Patterned Papers

Hello Friends, We have a fun Topping for you this time over at Seize the Birthday.  What I have asked the team and our guest Anita to do is to add two patterned papers to their card and or project. Easy peasy huh?  I hope if you are reading this, you will consider joining us sometime over the next two weeks! Plus you must go check out what the team has created!  They are so very talented! For my card…. I mixed and matched a lot of companies. I have MFT (scalloped and border die), Verve (word die and cupcake), Elizabeth Craft Design (candles), and Stampin Up (sentiment).  The paper is from who knows where???  I have so many pieces of scraps that I am determined to put to good use…before they swallow me up alive!  I used some Wink a Stella and some sparkly glitter for the top of my cupcakes!  Can’t have a cupcake without sprinkles!

Take care and happy stamping, Nanc’

Sending Hugs….

Hello Friends,  I knew when I saw Sue’s challenge over at Just Us Girls that  I was going to pull out my faithful Altenew Stamp Set -Beautiful Day and get to work. I just love using Multi Step Stamps, they are so forgiving and essentially goof proof. At least I think they are.  Do you know that I just realized the other day that this stamp set has a matching die set too.  Needless to say…this one is fussy cut and the die cut is on its way to my house as I type! LOL There are so many cards over at Pinterest using this fantastic stamp …you can’t help but get inspired!

I gotta run, I have ten million thing to do tonight as I am leaving town for a baby shower this weekend.

Sure hope you will join us at Just Us Girls this week!  Take care, Nanc’

Calm Seas Ahead…

Hello Friends,  I made this card a few months ago for a stamping and DT friend whose hubby was having some health problems.  I am happy to report he is home now and doing much better, thank goodness. I started off making a watercolored background, then decided I wanted to make a port hole to spy on my ship. I love the look of it! The image, rhinestones, and the circle die is from SU. The rope was really easy to make, you just have to google it. Last but not least, I cheated and made the sentiment on my computer.

I am hostess this week at Just Us Girls…I would love for you to join me! We also have a new Guest with us this month!  Please come on by and help us welcome Laura Unger.   We are so happy to have you with us Laura!   Happy stamping, Nanc’
