For you

Hello, Happy Weekend! It is the 5th Saturday of the month and time for CASE a DT member at Just Us Girls. For today’s card, I am using some of my favorite Spellbinder’s products called Sealed Gingko Etched Dies and Outlined Sentiments. In honor of this challenge, I have CASED myself and made an exact card in a different color. You can see my first card below.

So are you team purple or team teal? I think I like the purple one a smidge more and it’s a better photo.

I hope you have a wonderful day and you will come by Just Us Girls and play along there are a lot of different types of cards to be inspired by! Nanc’

Pumpkin Coffee

Hello, I wasn’t going to let National Coffee Day go by without posting a coffee card, that is for sure. Lucky for me I had this pumpkin cup die-cut just waiting to be used. Have you noticed I am still making a conscious effort to use some of the stacks of DSP that I just had to have? YAY!

I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches and Addicted to Stamps and More for their Diecuts and/or stencils challenge.

Card Details: The cute pumpkin coffee cup complete with froth and cinnamon stick is from Trinity Stamps. The sentiment is from Altenew. I did a bit of ink blending to make everything come to life a bit. The leaves and flowers I had in my bits and boxes drawer.

I hope if you have a chance today, you will enjoy some coffee too. Mine is decaf ( doctor’s orders) but you bet I am having a cup or two! Take care, Nanc’

Repetitive Die-Cutting

Hello, It’s the 4th Thursday of the month and time for the next challenge at Seize the Birthday. I am the hostess for this challenge and I have chosen Repetitive Die-Cutting for my Topping. There are many different ways to achieve this and if you pop on over to Seize the Birthday you will see how my fabulous Design Team along with our guests were inspired. Speaking of guests, we still have Stephanie with us but today we also have Johanna joining us as well. She was the winner of our last challenge using our Topping. I am happy to have them both in our line-up!

Card Details: My card was totally inspired by the lovely and talented Yana Smakula and you can find her fabulous card Here. You will just need to scroll down a bit. Her card is so much prettier because she added glitter to the wings of her butterfly.

The Butterfly is from Pink and Main and I sponged it with Oxide Inks and used glitter on his body. The Hellos on the background are from MFT, and the dot EF is from SU. The greeting is from Spellbinders and was foiled in gold. Some twine and various gems and I was done.

I hope you will join us over at Seize the Birthday. Remember, the Topping is always optional…any Birthday card will do! See you there! Nanc’

Squeak-on’s Greetings

Hello, Hope all is well with you!

Today I am back with another card using the darling mouse from Spellbinders. The Dancin’ & Giftin’ Mouse set is so cute, I’m just not quite ready to put her/him away yet. What started this muted color palette was this gorgeous Pewter foil that I had yet to use that came in a Spellbinder’s foil pack that I purchased a while ago. I thought it would make a great background using the Pine Sprays HF Plate. Boy was I right, the picture doesn’t quite do it justice. While I was foiling I decided to make some snowflakes for behind Ms. Mouse with the same pewter foil using the Glimmering Snowflakes HF Plate. Next, I made a couple snowbanks out of paper and then after I glued them down I decided to add glimmer paste. (These ideas always happen after the glue, LOL. Am I right?) Now, you can’t see that there are two snowbanks but I still like the way it looks. It was tricky getting it on the paper without getting it on the background, but I managed. I then decided that Ms. Mouse needed some smaller packages to deliver this time, so I used the ones that came in the Holiday Express Etched Dies set. I cut them out of regular white paper and also Pewter foiled paper. Last, I used the Notched frames to finish off the card and of course the punny greeting.

I used quite a few products from Spellbinders and they are all linked below.

Here are some other pics of Ms. Mouse. The only part I am unhappy with is her scarf. I don’t like the way the two cream accent pieces break up the stripes’ direction. I thought about re-doing it and decided it would be too big a risk to mess it up, so I left it alone.

I am linking up Ms. Mouse over at the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge. The pictures they have below really helped complete my design. I especially love the top right.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a small commission, and I am currently taking all of those commissions and donating it to the Hawai’i Community Foundation for the Maui Strong Fund.

For You

Hello, I am really into Fall this year and I think it’s due to the hot summer we have had and dreams of cooler weather on the horizon. Hubby and I feel it’s the hottest that we can remember. While I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday, I was even more inspired by the aisles and aisles of beautiful fall decorations they have, and as soon as I got back home I started this card.

I have a mix of old and new Spellbinders products and I will do my best to link them below, if available. I got so excited when I realized the little gnome from the Gnome Hugs collection would work well in the back of the Trucking Through the Seasons pick-up truck. Now he can stand up in there and pack up his pumpkins.

A few other details: I used a stencil to make the brown plaid shirt and sleeves for my gnome, a bit of colored pencil on his beard, and a bit of ink blending on the pumpkins. The smaller pumpkins are in the Truck set and the large pumpkins are from Autumn Wonder.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a small commission, and I am currently taking all of those commissions and donating it to the Hawai’i Community Foundation for the Maui Strong Fund.

Hope your day is special

Hello, Do you want to make a card but you just don’t have a lot of time to invest in it? Well, this card is perfect for that scenario. This Better Press floral die that came with my Betterpresss Letterpress System makes the most gorgeous print all by itself. It is pretty enough to not even do anything with, or you can try a light water-coloring followed by a bit of Prisma pencil work, which is what I have done here today. I have made two other cards using this image in the past but not with the Spellbinder’s Notched Corner Frames. I like the way it finishes it off. The pink gems are made with paper and then topped off with clear Nuvo drops to give them a shine. The sentiment is also from Spellbinders and is in the set Many Birthdays, which was a SDOM and sadly no longer available.

Here are the other two cards I previously posted using this set. They turned out better than the one above.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a small commission, and I am currently taking all of those commissions and donating it to the Hawai’i Community Foundation for the Maui Strong Fund.

You’re On My Mice List

Hello, You are most definitely on my Mice List! Yes, you!

I am back today with Dancin’ & Giftin’ Mouse from Spellbinder’s latest release, and Ms. Mouse is quite ahead of herself and is not dancing, but ready to start delivering Christmas presents. As I mentioned in a past post, this die set is absolutely adorable and so much fun to put together.

Card Details: Today, I have added some snowbanks and a Bottle Brush tree, also from Spellbinders. I took some shimmer paste and carefully put some on both the tree and the tops of the hills to help represent the glistening snow. Before that, I shaded the mouse and the snowbank with some Oxide inks. The darling sentiment is from the new Dancin’ Christmas Sentiments set. I ran my large present through an EF to give it some texture. The sky is a piece of DSP. I wonder what outfit Ms. Mouse will be wearing next? My paper dolls’ childhood is being relived and enjoyed!

I am linking up with the Happy Little Stampers Challenge- Anything Goes with Dies.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a small commission, and I am currently taking all of those commissions and donating it to the Hawai’i Community Foundation for the Maui Strong Fund.

Trick or Treat…

Hello, As soon as I had some time this weekend to get crafty, I knew I wanted to make a card for the fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I decided it was the perfect time to jump into some Halloween cards. I love this Boo Sheet set from Miss Ink Stamps so much. To make my vertical panel I used a candy corn stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I then came back with a black micron pen and traced them to make them pop. I did a rather poor job and luckily quite a bit got covered by those cute ghosts. I just love that sentiment too.

Card Supplies: Pretty Pink Posh-Candy Corn Stencil, Pink and Main-Square Frames, the small Jack-O-Lantern and wrapped candies are from Spellbinders, black Nuvo drops and dimensionals.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Oh, and by the way, you still have plenty of time to play along at Freshly Made Sketches too!

Take care, Nanc’

Thanks

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for the next challenge at Just Us Girls. Carol Mayne is our wonderful hostess and she has a great Mood Board for us to be inspired by. Great board, Carol! As you can see I was inspired by the top left picture and also chose to do my sentiment sideways like in the photo.

Card Details: The Thanks die-cut is from Honey Bee Stamps, the leaves are my all-time favorite and are a retired set from Stampin Up. Most of the card was made with scraps of DSP.

I hope you have a wonderful day and or weekend too and will consider playing along at JUGS! We would love to have you! Take care, Nanc’
