Where flowers bloom…

……. so does hope!  What a great phrase don’t you think?  Spring is such a great time of year, it’s my favorite season.  It’s Spring Break for my family and I and we are so stoked about it.  We have no major plans for the week, but that’s okay with us, we take it day by day and just wing it.  Yesterday we had a deluge of rain here in Florida and I was able to go into my studio and stamp the day away and not feel guilty. Thank you God for the rain!! It was wonderful!!!!!!  I don’t think I have ever made 5 cards in one day before!!!

Happy Anniversary Honey- 18 years!!

Have a great week my friends and if you can find the time Scrap your heart!

Things may become quiet…

My card making days may be few and far between for the next few weeks as my family is in need. Yesterday afternoon my father fell off a ladder, or as he says “Was pushed by a humongous tree branch” and broke his arm and fractured his ribs.  He is 80 years old and is a very, very, lucky man!  Stubborn, but  lucky!!  Anyhoo, he will be having surgery on his arm early next week and will be needing a lot of extra care.  So if things become very idle around here you know why!!

Take time to care for the ones you love,

Oh,What an Imagination!

My son Tyler has always loved to read and many years ago he read a book called Fire Within, where the character sculpts dragons that in turn come to life.  Well to make a long story short, he asked his dad to bring some clay home from school so that he may try his hand at sculpting his own dragon.  The dragon came out fantastic!!  It is a praying dragon that absolutely touched my heart!  It’s obvious that some his father’s artistic talents rubbed off on him.  It is one of Tyler’s pride posessions to this day!  It shows how important reading is to a child!!!  It sparks so many other avenues of inspiration!   Read to your child often!!!

Happy Scrappin and Reading,

Crazy 4 Challenges

This card is for a new site I have stumbled across and they seem to have amazing challenges and a huge following so I thought I would give it a try!  It’s called Crazy 4 Challenges ! Check it out here! The challenge was to use texture!  This card also qualifies for this weeks color challenge over at Stamp TV as well, the only colors you could use were Pink and White.  I know my card looks like it has peach in it, but I promise the ribbon is pink! It’s a new camera, but it likes to change the shades sometimes. :{  (grumpy face here)   You probably can’t tell, but I took pink chalk ever so lightly on the embossed part of the card.

Have a great day and remember to…

Missing warmer weather!

Today is absolutely gorgeous here in sunny Florida, but according to the weather report another cold front is headed our way!  So I decided since I can’t get away from the cold weather, I would scrap some photos of warmer weather.  These photos were taken in late September of 06′.

Hope you have a great week!
