Happy Wonderful Christmas and Farewell

Hello, It is Saturday and you know what that means. It is time for the next challenge at Just Us Girls, and along with that, I have some news to share. This is my last post as a member of the Just Us Girls Design Team. I want to first thank Vicki Dutcher for giving me this wonderful opportunity back in April of 2013. It has been a fabulous 10 1/2 years and something I have enjoyed being a part of. I also want to say thanks to the current and past Design Team members that I have had the opportunity to work beside. The friendships I have made along the way are truly a gift and something I will always treasure. I am not saying goodbye to card making, as this hobby brings me so much joy, and I certainly hope to be creating for many more years to come. I am just stepping back a bit to focus on my health and other opportunities.

Now let’s talk about today’s card as it’s getting a bit sappy in here.

Card Details: This card was totally inspired by this card HERE! I used a mix of products in my version. The trees and the house are from Spellbinders in the Simon’s Snow Globe Etched Dies set. The snowfall EF and greeting are from SU. As you can see I splattered the trees with white paint. I popped up the circle for added dimension. The snow hills were made with my old Creative Memories cutting system.

I hope you will join us over at Just Us Girls! The DT and our Guest Melissa did a wonderful job with this CAS challenge! Also, this is our last challenge of the year so you don’t want to miss it.

Have a wonderful day! Nanc’

  2. A grand farewell! Wonderful card and post!

  3. What can I say šŸ˜ž. While I wish you well in your future avenues, JUGS will not be the same. I WILL MISS YOU A LOT! So glad to have created with you over the last 10+ years – I wish you all the best! My only regret is we never got to meet in person! Great final card too ā¤ļø

    • Thanks so much! I appreciate you having such a big role in this wonderful hobby! As for meeting up, Iā€™m headed your way one day! šŸ’•

  4. I have the luxury of being your local friend and cardmaker, but our team will not seem the same without your experience and talents! This card is amazing! The little scene is so well done and I can picture being in the snow there and having snow falling all around. Your snow drifts are perfect as is the spattered snow and other elements!!!

  5. Nancy… so love your style. Just love your CAS creation…

  6. This is such a cute, snowy scene! I love the embossed snow and the snow banks with the perfect placement of the trees and little house. It makes me sad that you are leaving the team, but totally understand. Be well my friend and hopefully some day I can meet up with you when you visit relatives up here in Michigan!

  7. What a darling snowy scene you’ve created Nancy – I could see myself enjoying being snug in that cute house looking out at the pretty winter scene! A great way to end your lengthy tenure with JUGs as your life priorities shift.

  8. You’ve created the sweetest little scene inside your circle! This is such a darling card, Nancy. Just as Dorothy said to the scarecrow… “I think I will miss you most of all.” You’ve always been so kind and welcoming to me on the JUGs team. I treasure the friendship we have. Take care of yourself and best of luck in all of your future card making. I look forward to each and every post that will come our way!

  9. This is such a wonderful winter scene, Nancy, unexpected from a Florida girl. lol I will definitely miss you, my friend. You encouraged me to try out for the team and it has been a great opportunity to ‘meet’ some wonderful designers. I’ll still be seeing you around but unfortunately not in February. We’re only going for a long weekend.

  10. What a perfect wintery Christmas scene here Nancy. Great colour combination. Love the scallop frame making it ‘pop’. I am soooooooooooooo going to miss you at JUGS but know I will still see so much of you around blogland. Have an amazing Christmas with your lovely family. Hugs

  11. I am trying to comment again. Love the sweet scene you created for your fond farewell card. JUGS will not seem the same without seeing your lovely inspiration cards.

  12. Beautiful card! I love those tiny elements, they make a great card.

I’m sure you’re going to be missed a lot on Just Us Girls! Best to you in your next adventure.
