Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Love…U!

Hello, I thought a little crafting would do me some good today and I found the perfect challenge to play along with.  My dad fell last weekend and it’s been a rollercoaster week of emotion with very little sleep.  I am pleased to have finally gotten him out of the hospital (a terrible experience this time) and back at a Rehab facility that I trust.  So things are looking up.

Over at Inspire. Create. Challenges they have a blank canvas as their sketch so the sky’s the limit.  I didn’t feel like creating something from scratch so I decided to CASE a favorite card of mine.  Here you can find my first card!

I am also linking this card up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it’s Anything Goes.

Card Details: Here is a bit about my card!  The Flower and U are from Verve and some of my very first stamps/dies! The leaves are a punch from SU and then embossed for added texture. The flowers are MFT and were colored using the smooshing technique and oxide inks. The heart die is also from MFT, the love die is from Neat and Tangled.  The background was lightly stenciled with an MFT die.

Another day off tomorrow, which is great, as we have a meeting at the Rehab facility in the morning and who knows maybe a little shopping after that!  I already did a little stamp shopping (shhhhhh…don’t tell the mister.)  Shopping always makes me happy! LOL

Take care, Nanc’

  1. Nothing like a little rehabilitation for yourself, Nancy. You’ve combined all those elements into a glorious card. I pray your Dad does well as he recuperates.

  2. Beautiful and in great colors.
