Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Sending You Love and Much Love

Hello friends, Happy Weekend! I am back with more from Pixi Dust Designs and this time using their fantastic Tulip Die Set. I had a great time inking up these two florals and making these cards. What do you think of the patterned leaves? Too much? I think I like them, something a bit different. Read on to find out the mistake I made, not once but twice!

Card #1

The gorgeous font sentiment comes in this set. The sentiment reads; Sending Much Love but I didn’t plan well and had already glued my tulips down when I realized there wasn’t enough room for the word MUCH, so I had to go find a stamp that would complete my greeting. I usually lay out my card before I glue, and for some reason this time I chose not to. The word You is from a very old Verve set. The scalloped stitched edge is from MFT.

Here is a close-up to show you the many layers the Tulips have.

Card #2

I had such a good time creating card one I decided to make another card using a different color combo. I have always loved Turquoise and Brown together. Is it one of your favs too?

Guess what? I ran out of room once again for the sentiment, this girl doesn’t learn very quickly. 😆 However, this time I was determined to make it work.

I used my Fiskars cutter to make the Victorian edge and some Gold Glitter paper of course.

  1. Beautiful cards. Love the tulips, especially the turquoise ones and they do look great with the brown. That gold glitter paper makes lovely sentiments. Thanks for sharing these beauties.

  2. I love all the layers on these tulips and the pattern on the leaves adds another layer of fun! I’m lovin’ both color combinations and I wouldn’t have guessed that you didn’t intend the sentiments to be just like that! Perfect in my book!

  3. I like the patterned leaves and what they add to your pretty tulips! Not too much at all, Nancy. Two wonderful cards!

  4. The patterned leaves really add something to your flowers. Both are beautiful but I’m a purple girl so gravitate towards that one.

  5. Gorgeous cards – love those colours!
