Today’s topping over at Seize the Birthday is “Texture”, which was such a great idea thought up by my fellow DT member- Cathy, and one we haven’t done before. I have had this card on my desktop for eons by the talented Debbie Olson and I thought this would be a perfect time to CASE it. So when I was ready to get down to work, I went searching for my felt and of course couldn’t find it anywhere. Don’t you just hate when you know you have something and you can’t pinpoint its location? Anyhoozal, I decided to replace the felt with this really rough glitter paper that has been sitting on my desk waiting patiently for some love. I bought it for a kindness award that I was giving out at school and couldn’t dare part with the leftover scraps, it has tons of texture and I knew it would do the trick! The flowers are MFT and the background was sponged with Oxide Inks. The leaves are a SU punch.
Before I run off, I would like to say a final thank you to Tenia for being such a super surprise Party Guest! It’s been a pleasure having you with us and we so appreciate you always joining us in our gallery at STB!
Here it Debbie’s beautiful card! I think the felt looks ten times better. Take care, Nanc’

I think your glittery interpretation is every bit a wonderful as the felt card, Nancy. Of course I’ve been through the “now where in the heck did I put that” stage. I hope you find the elusive felt.

Very pretty glittery flowers. I also think it looks just as good as the felt card. Love the texture from the glitter paper.
Yes, I think we all have been through the looking for something we know we have and put somewhere, but where?
Have a wonderful day and a great weekend.

Both of you ladies made gorgeous cards. I just love the glitter paper you used as I think almost everyone likes sparkle and shine along with the texture.

Very pretty use of the glittered paper — nice touch of texture for sure.

I do like the felt, but your card has glitz and glimmer, a different take on this texture challenge. I would go with glimmer and glitz any day. I adore the colors of the flowers too. I can’t imagine that you could not find your felt, you keep a very organized craft room. I have seen it with my own eyes.

The glitter paper worked great, Nancy! The felt gives a softer look and the glitter paper rather a fancy one!
Beautiful and cheery birthday card! Btw I can’t find some of my craft supplies even almost one year after my move 🙂 !
