Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Sending Strength

Hello friends, I hope your day is off to a good start. Do you have any Memorial Day plans? We are off on a four day Winecation in Napa and I’m so excited! For now, I am back with more new products from Spellbinders. The last card I posted just showed a smidgen of the new die set in the Bay Fair Collection called Floral Spray. This time I have used nearly all of the die set. It is really fabulous and has so many different florals to create with. I love the whimsy vibe it has.

I started off with this gorgeous piece of DSP and cut a heart out of the center. Then I cut out all my florals and put all those together. I knew I wanted to add one of the gorgeous butterfly stickers from the Timeless Collection into my design. The sentiment is hot foiled and is from the Sealed Glimmer Sentiments set. I have also used my favorite ovals that I certainly hope they bring back in stock one day.

Did you notice, this card has orange on it again? I told you I have certainly been gravitating with all those hues as of late.

I personally don’t like to make sympathy cards that are drab and monotone. I figure the person receiving it needs to be uplifted and not brought further down. What are your feelings on this?

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly would appreciate any of your support! Thank you!

  1. This is such a pretty sympathy card, Nanc’. I think the tone of the sympathy card depends on the recipient. I try to send another thinking of you card that is upbeat a couple of weeks after the sympathy card.

  2. One look and I was hooked on this card. It is so beautiful and I love the DSP you used. I’m with you on the sympathy front. I try to do cards that help to cheer someone up.

  3. There’s a whole lot of pretty happening here, Nancy! Love your colors. Enjoy you getaway!

  4. Nancy, this is beautiful. I love the white flowers with those pretty orange centers and the gorgeous butterfly.

  5. This is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing,
