Alcohol Ink Lifting…so fun!

Hello there,  This morning after I went and visited my dad, it was raining, so it was a perfect time to go play in the studio.  I knew I was going to get messy! I had so much fun making some awesome backgrounds. Thank goodness the manicure isn’t for another couple of weeks. LOL   Have you tried alcohol inks on Acetate?  It works so very well! The first thing I did was take my yellow and orange inks and spread them all over my piece of acetate. Then I took my sun stencil ( that clearly will never look the same) and used a blending solution to remove some of the colors.  Note: It happens very quickly on acetate. It was so simple with great results!   Last, I knew I had a perfect Verve stamp set to use for my additional sun and greeting. I colored the sun with Copics and colored pencil.  Some added layers behind the greeting to give it some dimension and I was done. My card was inspired by three challenges: CAS Stencil , Just Add Ink, and CAS(E) this Sketch.  I chose -Summer the season I am currently in for Just Add Ink.

Here is another picture!  Thanks for the visit and happy crafting! I am praying for more rain…LOL Nanc’
