It’s certainly that time a year again, where you can see all the youngsters so excited about Graduation. I remember when I graduated from HS 10 years ago (wink, wink) in someways it feels like forever ago and then somehow it feels like yesterday! Anyhoo, one of these cards, not sure which one yet, will be headed to a neighbor’s daughter very soon. I wanted to incorporate her school colors into the card, and NO I am not referring to the Florida Gators either….blech! I love my relatively new to me happy Diecut from SU! I love cutting it out across two colors of paper and as you will see I used the negative space in the card below! A twofer, which is a win win in my book!
Not sure you can see in the photo but I covered the cap and tassle with Crystal Effects. The cap is not a die, I drew it myself off of a photo a few years ago and kept it as a stencil. Then after it was dry well I thought it was dry, until I ran my entire finger crossed it and smeared it a little, I decided to run it through a dot embossing folder to hide the smear marks. It helped quite a bit! The numbers were made with a alphabet set I LOVE and the graduation sentiment comes in a SU set called Crazy About You.
I am linking one of the above cards into three separate challenges: Pink Elephant where they have a Graduation Theme and over at the Curtain Call where the Inspirational challenge is called Totally Tassle! Then the second card into the challenge over at Mod Squad where they want us to use the negative of a die cut on our card and or project!
I so appreciate you stopping by to see what I am up too! It truly makes my day!
Be back tomorrow with a new JUGS challenge. Nanc’

Great cards for the “Grad”. I think I like the 2nd one best. The happy shows up better. That is my opinion. (wink, wink)
Have a great weekend my friend.

Two great graduation cards! I love the two-colored die cut on the first card. And the black paper really “pops” and looks awesome through the negative on your second card. (I love that you made 2 cards from this technique!!) Thanks for joining us over at the Mod Squad Challenge this week.
