Happy Birthday-Winged Things

Hello, I am glad you are here! Today is our first challenge of the New Year over at Seize the Birthday! Cathy is our wonderful hostess and she selected Winged Things as our Topping. Since I am still catching up on Life these days I needed to make something fairly quick, so I decided to case a card I recently received. The card I chose was a beautiful sympathy card from STB-DT member Linda. that I have pictured below. I could not get over the shine Linda had on her card so I reached out to thank her for thinking of me and to ask how she did it. I found out that she was inspired by DT member Marcia on Color Hues. LOL Love when things happen like that. Guess where all this inspiration originally started for this card? Whom else… Jennifer McGuire. I will link the video up for you below.

The shine is hard to capture on mine, but you can see it on Lindas!

Jennifer McGuire’s Video: Faux Textured Metal with Perfect Pearls.

We have a few changes taking place at Seize the Birthday this year so I have linked that post for you HERE as well! One of the changes is; if you are selected as our overall winner and used the topping, you will be invited back as a Surprise Party Guest! I am really happy about this change. So now we will have our regular Surprise Party Guest and one previous winner.

Here is a close-up.

Card Details: Butterfly-Saavy Die, Oxide Inks, Perfect Pearls, Embossing Folder-Cuttlebug

Affiliate Link-Greeting is from Spellbinders- Mini Everyday Sentiments- Hot Foil. This set is wonderful, I got it from my son for Christmas and I have a pic of all the sentiments that are in the set below!

I hope you will stop by Seize the Birthday and check out my amazing team’s cards and they will inspire you to join us! I will be back tomorrow with a card using some new Spellbinders products that may have the same winged creatures as this card!

Stay tuned! Nanc’
