Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Special Blog Hop

Hello, Today I along with the Color Hues Design Team are taking part in a very special Challenge/Hop to honor a very dear friend of mine, Lindsey Martin-Penny.

To say that I miss Lindsey, would be a huge understatement. She was an amazing person and an even better friend. She got me through some of the hardest times in my life and I owe her a great deal of gratitude. She did all of that while struggling with Cancer herself. On some of her hardest days, she would still text me and see how I was doing. I often look back through those messages on my phone when I am feeling a bit down, and need some encouragement, or perhaps a good laugh. In her absence, she continues to still be there for me! She was funny, kind, my CAS queen, and I believe the word selfless fits her to a T. I feel I am a better person because I knew her.

In conjunction with our normal Color Challenge, The Color Hues Design Team and a few guests, from our sister challenge Seize the Birthday, are participating in a Blog Hop!

Collectively as a team, we are hopping in memory of our dear friend, fellow cardmaker, and Design Team member, Lindsey Martin-Penny, who sadly passed away last year from a rare and aggressive form of Ovarian Cancer.

The purpose of this hop will be to honor Lindsey, celebrate her life and all that she loved, as well as spread the word to raise funds for Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer Research.

How can you Help? You can find all the fabulous details and the start of the hop at Emily’s Blog HERE!

In honor of Lindsey, the team has created a variety of cards using her favorite color combo of Purple and Red.

I hope you will join us over at Color Hues and join in the Hop as well! There are so many different ways you can help!

Take care, Nanc’

I love the addition of the stitched leaves and polka dotted red flowers. I so admire your talent for design and I loved reading what Lindsey meant to you. Your tribute is beautiful in every way.
