Hello, Special Friend

Hello friends, Here we are in the middle of June already, and time for the next Hues of Color at Color Hues Challenge. Marcia has picked a pretty color pairing of Sage and Pink. Of course, anytime I see green as one of the color pairings it seems the first thing I think of is florals. I think the entire Design Team thought the same thing. 😂 There are a gorgeous array of floral cards over there. We also have Amy Tsuruta joining us as our guest. Welcome, Amy!

I knew I wanted to use Spellbinder’s new 3 in 1 Tag Punch once again and I found a tag over on Pinterest that I fell in love with. I have just about cased it and you can find it Here. Then I decided to use more of the recently released products that I am crushing on to complete my design.

I could not tell you the last time I sewed a button on a card. My twine is a bit too short but I couldn’t get it to lay right for the photo so I chopped it with scissors multiple times. 😆

Just For You

Hello Friends, I am starting to really enjoy the postal look on cards and am a bit late jumping on the bandwagon, (that is very typical for me). Is anyone, else that way? Does it take forever to get into a trend, or perhaps never at all? I was definitely not a trendy girl in my younger days.

Anyways, Spellbinders recently came out with Nested Postage Labels and Die set that I really love, so I knew it would be easy to join the craze. I have added two small stamps from Ellen Hutson’s Sending Love set to complete my design; the framed heart, and the canceled stamp.

To color my backgrounds, I just masked them off using low tack tape and then used Oxide inks and blending brushes to add color. The colors I used are; Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet. The sentiment is from one of my favorite sets and seems to be my go-to lately and it is called-All the Sentiments Clear Stamps and Die Set. I have also used the Layered Anemone flowers once again. A few small florals, black and white twine, and glittered paper gems to finish it off.

You Make Me Smile

Hello friends, I hope your day is going very well. I am back with more products from Spellbinders and let me just say that these products that I have used on today’s card are some of my favorites from the recent releases. At least I say that right now, as there are still products I have yet to use, so stay tuned, my crush might change. 😝

I have already shown you some of the Lisa Horton Collection, the sweet Layered Anemone die set, but what I have been patiently waiting on to complete this card is the You Make Me Smile Sentiment Set. It was delayed and now that I have it in my hands, I just love it! Not only do you have the option of layering the word smile, but you can stamp various greetings that go with the word Smile and then cut them out all at once. I love that time saver and now have extra sentiments on hand whenever I need them. They also have a set with the word Hello if you’re interested. I have linked the entire collection below!

A Few Card Details: As you can see I sponged my background, leaves, and flowers with Oxide Inks; Abandoned Coral, and Evergreen Bough. Next, I cut the background out using the new Nested Postage Labels and Dies. I am really happy that they have a few stitched rectangles in that set. I sponged my stems and leaves and then splattered them with white paint. Finally, I cut out the word Smile in matching colors and added a few Foam Squares and Dew Drop embellishments from Honey Bee Stamps to complete the card.

More News: Did you know that Spellbinders has some new Tools just released? I am so excited that they have a small Guillotine Paper Trimmer in their product line. I have one from Creative Memories that is on its last leg and I was over the moon to be gifted one to try. It cuts really well and the dimensions are 7.5 x 11. So not too big and not too small.

Here is a picture plus I have it linked below. I think the price point is very reasonable too.

I am linking up over at Time OUT Challenge where they have an Inspired by Words challenge with a pretty quote about Flowers.

My Friend

Hello Friends, I am popping in really quick from California to share with you some wonderful new products from Spellbinders. I have three new sets used on today’s card. I don’t know if you have noticed or not but I have really been in love with peach/orange lately and here it is once again on my friendship card.

A Few Card Details: I did some ink blending with Abandon Coral Oxide Inks on my Layered Anemones. Such a pretty flower, don’t you think? Then that fabulous Woven Lattice is going to get lots of use. Both of those dies are from the new Lisa Horton Spotlight Frames and Floral. The small glittery sprigs are from the Floral Spray In the Bay Fair Collection.

I appreciate you stopping by as always everything is linked below. I will be back in a day or so with more! Stay tuned.
