Hello Friends, The card I have for you today goes along with the Any Winter Holiday challenge over at Stamp, Ink and Paper. I just recently became aware of this challenge thanks to my friend Sandy who is one of the designers. It’s a great challenge with lots of talent…so you definitely need to check it out! I spent nearly as long as I did making this card, looking for the card on my Pinterest board that inspired me. NO LUCK! So I will let you know right now, that this was not an original idea from little old me. I am in love with how it turned out though! This stamp set (Ornamental Christmas) is a retired set from Verve, but I absolutely positively love it! (as you will see in future posts!) It may not look like it, but most of the card is watercolored with a tad of colored pencil here and there to darken it. I did take a sponge to the main panel with distress ink to give it a vintage vibe.
As I am writing this post; I am waiting on my son to arrive back home for Christmas (today), my tree is still lit in broad day light, the house smells of homemade muffins and caramel squares, and my house is covered with homemade Christmas cards from all the people in my life that I hold dear. I love sitting on the couch in the evenings and looking at them, each one is carefully displayed. Today….my heart is full! Hope yours is too! Nanc’
