Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Hang in There

Hi, Today I have for you a card for the Sketch over at MFT.  I so enjoyed putting this idea together.  It all started when I thought how can I make the background of a card a little different and more creative than the traditional grass and sky.  I thought why not try a stencil to stand in for the sun. What do you think?  I kinda like it. I am sure you have seen this technique but I will explain it in case you haven’t.  First, you take the stencil you have chosen and tape it down over your paper then take your next stencil-which I have used a circle cut out of a piece of acetate and tape it over that stencil and now you are ready to ink it up. After my background was complete, I used both Copic markers and colored pencils for my medium.  I tried to make the cute koalas’ fur look soft and cuddly.

I am really enjoying card making these days. I especially enjoy coloring, as it has become really therapeutic for me.

Some card Details: MFT-Stamps, Rounded Mod Rectangles, and Stitched Hills, SSS-Stencil, Oxide Inks

Take care of yourself and as the card states…Hang In There!  Nanc’
