Hello, I have been taking a small break from card making and have been tackling some design work on the computer. Details with what I have up my sleeve will come later! Anyways, Today over at Seize the Birthday we have a brand new topping starting. Glenda has asked us to use a non-neutral card base on our cards. Easy enough! The only thing about this card that is a tad bothersome is my flowers aren’t centered and too close to the top of the card. Oh well, It is what it is.
Card Details: Flowers are MFT, the Vase is a block stamp I have had for ages, the stems of my flowers are Elizabeth Craft Designs, the banner die is Spellbinders and the sentiment is Verve.
As you can tell I heat embossed my jar on a piece of decorative vellum from SU. Some sequins and clear gems and I was done.
Thanks for coming by and visiting and I hope you will consider joining us at Seize the Birthday! We would love to have you. Nanc’

This is so bright and fun! As for flower placement – sometimes you just have to let those design principles go and glory in the overall beauty of the card. 😉 And wow, do I love that vellum! So perfect for the flower jar.

You are really too hard on yourself. I love the placement of the jar and flowers. It is your artistic creative choice to do that. The jar stamped on vellum is a great idea and looks swell. Altogether it is smashing.

Your card with the hot pink flowers on the bright green (looks like neon green) is so cheerful, Nancy! The vellum vase is such a great touch! The placement of the flowers looks fine for me 🙂 !

You bother about the littlest things, Nancy – I didn’t even notice there was any positioning problem in the card! I mean, its so charming and beautiful, I couldn’t notice anything else! And I agree with everyone else – the jar’s vellum is spectacular!! Gorgeous card, all in all! 🙂
