Hello, Back again! It has been a busy week for my blog and challenges. Today’s card is for the latest challenge over at Seize the Birthday. Lindsey our DT member, had the fabulous idea of Create a Scene as our topping this time around. I have been making scene cards like this for a few months now for the stores and have not used a birthday greeting and thought this was the perfect challenge to do just that.

Card Details: I used MFT cloud stencil and a heart stencil to start my background. I then masked off the rest to create my water. The water ripples are made with a stamp. You do have to do a lot of thinking and masking and covering when doing these types of scenes. They are never perfect, but that is what makes them handmade. The boat is a die from Impression Obsession. The water and all the birds are from the same SU set called High Tide. The greeting is from the SU-Rose Wonder set.
Come by STB and see what the rest of the team and our guest Carol have done! Such great talent over there!
Take care, Nanc’

This is so gorgeous with the scene you built with the blending and the silhouette images. I love the colors and the open heart window.

This is a card that we all need about now. It is so peaceful and dreamy. I would be placing it where I could see it most of the day so that I could take a deep breath and be there. That is all.

Have you already transitioned to summer, Nancy? I love how you’ve used so many colors on it – and the simple silhouettes compliment the colors so well! A really sweet card!
