Hello, Today over at Just Us Girls Vicki is our hostess for Trend Week and she wants us to Ink or Spray our backgrounds. I could have easily got out some of my neglected Dylusions sprays that I thought I had to have at the time and barely use, but I am sure it’s no surprise that I decided to make an inked background instead. I also used a bit of Vicki Boutin-Texture Paste to make some shiny seafoam. A very quick and easy card to put together.

Card Details: Background was made with Oxide Inks. The Flip Flops are from Impression Obsession. The shiny sea foam was made with Texture Paste. The greeting is from Close to My Heart. The tiny hearts are from a punch.
Hope you will pop on over to Just Us Girls and play along!
Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

I love those super cute flip flops sitting on the beach! Your sand, sea and sky are beautiful and I love the addition of the texture paste for the shiny sea foam. Wish those were my flip flops sitting there!

Nancy…. I am a huge fan of inked background and yours is fabulous. But I am really loving the texture paste for the sea foam such a brilliant and effective idea!

Beach, ocean, flip flops…what’s not to love? Such a fun birthday card, Nancy, and one I’d love to replicate IRL on my birthday! I especially love the hearts on the flip flops – such a sweet touch!

It may have been quick and easy, but it is just so serine and peaceful I love this card and is it just the feeling that I need.

Ahh the beach – my favourite place. Shame, for us, its more a matter of wellies than flip flops 🙂
Pretty card – and I love the textured sea foam. xxx

As you know, I adore your beach-themed card! We’re actually at 3C today…with wind gusts up to 80kmh! Warm and ‘breezy’!

So tropical Nancy. How nice it is to kick off those cute colourful flip flops (things here) and wet your toes in that beautiful blue sea.

You’re killing me with all these ocean-themed cards! I want to be on the beach! LOL! Seriously though, I know what you mean about those sprays. I wanted to use them for this challenge, but they are so messy! That’s one of the reasons I shy away from them (even though I have several!). But your card is adorable, and I wish those flip flops were mine!

What a sweet and fun birthday card! The flip-flops are so cute and you did a great inking job to create this beach scene.
