Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Sending Love and Prayers

Hello, It’s Saturday and time for Photo/Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls. Vicki is our hostess and she has a large moodboard with many possibilities for us, and hopefully you, to help spark the creative process. When I first looked at her board I was drawn to the Vanity Fair Graphic in the top corner and the two flowers front and center. I couldn’t decide which way to go, and then finally realized I could combine both of those pics into my design.

I am also playing along over at one of my other favorite challenges- Inkspirational Challenge where they want us to use Stencils.

Card Details: Gina K- Delightful Blooms Stencil in Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and Peeled Paint, Sending is from MFT, the Love and Prayers is from Gina K in her Peaceful Roses stamp set. I sponged the word Sending in yellow Oxide Ink onto yellow cardstock to give it a gradient look and shadowed it in Olive Green. The postage die is from Hero Arts.

I hope you will come on over to Just Us Girls and check out the DT and our Guest- Karen’s cards and play along!

Take care, Nanc’

  1. A great way to combine both of your inspirations into one beautiful card. I admire that you added a little yellow in the leaves too.

  2. The moment I saw the Moodboard for today, I realized how many possibilities it held. I love that we both were drawn to the same element, but ended up in such different places. I bet I could use this board for many more cards! I love your stenciled flowers, and the postal die makes a wonderful layer!

  3. What a gorgeous layered stencil! Very cheerful card!

  4. Love your modern design idea and the colors are so pretty! I always love a postal die too and the post. office should be doing a modern art stamp off of your card!!!!!

  5. Nancy… truly a great yellow!!

  6. You combined those photos beautifully, Nancy, this is a wonderful sympathy card!

  7. A great fusion on those two photos, Nancy. Those stenciled flowers fill the card with sunshine and love. I think it would be fun to use this mood board again and we all have to be inspired by a different part of it.

  8. Beeeeeeeeeeautiful Nancy. Love the layers and soft colour choice. Fabulous mix of sentiments.

  9. Beautiful stenciling! I love the soft look and the spring feel of this card. Thank you for joining us at Inkspirational Challenges!

  10. This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how you combined the inspiration from those photos. Those stenciled flowers are beautiful and you are really pushing me to invest in some layering stencils, which I have resisted so far.
