Happy Birthday Wishes

Hello, It’s August 1st and you know what that means, it’s time for the next Hues of Colors at Color Hues! Sheri has chosen the colors Teal and Orange. I was a bit unsure what I was going to do with this pairing but was pleasantly surprised when I was done with how much I liked it.

Card Details: Hibiscus Die-The Greetery, Plaid Stencil-Miss Ink Stamps, Oxide inks and SSS inks, the greeting-Spellbinders-Many Birthdays set, white leaves are from SU-Tropical Thinlits.

I want to take a moment and also welcome Deborah, who happens to be our guest this week! Welcome, Deborah. So glad to have you in our line-up at Color Hues.

Now, I hope you will head on over to Color Hues and check out the fabulous cards by the Design Team and our guest. Then I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Take care, Nanc’

  1. As soon as I see one of your creations that I really really like, it turns out to be a color hues entry. I am inspired by the color combo and encouraged to enter this challenge. I think you did amazing things with these two colors and I am really enjoying your card. I love the background and the white space really shows off those colors.

  2. Your hibiscus look so delicate and lacy the way you’ve colored them! This is beautiful, Nancy!

  4. WOW! Another dazzling display of your creativity; apparently ‘all’colour combinations are in your creative zone. Beautiful hibiscus, especially with the teal leaves, and so striking paired with the stenciling. Love this!

  5. I like it too, Nancy. Edging the flowers in orange gives them a soft look. The divided background panel brings them together with the leaves. Don’t have my hibiscus with me but I’m sure I have something else suitable.
