Hello, Today’s card is for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. Ashwini is our hostess and she has chosen metallics for us. It is not uncommon for me to add some form of glitter on my cards, so this one was easy. I have had this darling die set from Spellbinders for a few months, I picked it up on clearance and had yet to open it. Sadly, as I was writing this post I realized it is not currently available. I certainly hope they bring it back as it is so cute, especially when you give the Octopi eyeballs and glasses.😜
I had such a great time building this card. And as I mentioned previously I am using Coral once again. It seems to be my go-to Hue currently. I did some shading with Abandoned Coral Oxide Inks to give Mr. Octopi some dimension. In fact, I shaded all the dies.
A Few card Details: I first masked my background and then stenciled it with Tumbled Glass Oxide Ink and The Miss Ink Stamps Floral Wave stencil. The rest of the pieces are all from the Dancin’ Octopus and Friends set. I thought the Jellyfish with glitter paper made them super fun. The octopi die doesn’t come with eyeballs so I used some from the Toucan Set and the glasses are from the Smart Glasses set. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

The octopus is so cute in his glasses and colour. The addition of glitter to the jelly fish adds sparkle and of course your background is just right.

I didn’t think an octopus could be so adorable. Was added glasses he is so much fun. Sorry to hear that the die no longer available, I just purchased the parrots, that I’ve seen you use and just had to have. So now I’ll keep my eye out for this octopus I loved how you used him here.

This one is super fun! I love the Octopus, she looks fabulous with that nice bright coral, and I especially love the glittery glasses she’s wearing – so fashionable! The glittery jelly fish are looking fantastic as well. And I do love the soft blue stencil backdrop for the whole thing. If I had to choose one of your cards lately to CASE, I think I would choose this one! Awesome card, Nancy! ❤

I don’t know what else to saw other than I love every single bit of this card! Great colours, layout, details (the glasses – what?!?!) – just everything. Sorry to see that the octopus die is out of stock.
