Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

My Greatest Joy!

Hello Friends,  Hope you are having a good day, however you wish to spend it!  This card will be on it’s way very soon to my son, inside his V-day care package. I sure hope he doesn’t decide to visit my blog any time soon. LOL Here is a photo of the original card and let’s see if you can see why I had to fix it!

I didn’t even realize till I was making the post. LOL  And NO, I do not drink when I craft…but maybe I should. The card was made with the negative of the new Heart die from Stampin UP.  It’s so very pretty and on order, however I saved the negative piece from my card club class, as I thought it was so unique.  Sure glad I did! The sentiment is yet again from that Tuesday Morning set that I have been raving about! I am entering this card over at the Mod Squad challenge where two friends of mine are duo-hosting and over at Addicted to CAS where the code word is RED!

ATCAS - code word red

Thanks for stopping by, your comments and visits fuel my mojo and warm my heart!

  1. I love your cards. That is unique to use the negative of the heat die cut. It looks great.

  2. Oh, forgot to tell you, I just notice the love paper is upside down on the bottom card and that is why you had to remake it. 🙂

  3. Ha ha – what a hoot!!! I kinda wish you hadn’t found the mistake and had sent it that way, just to see if Ty would notice…*grin*. I love how you have used the negative, it’s really cool, especially with the red inside. Very striking! I will have to check out that stamp set that you love so much. Always looking for good sentiments. Great design, and great take on the challenge!! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at the
    Mod Squad Challenge!!

  4. Well recovered on the oops, Nancy … this is such a bold and fabulous card … that sentiment is gorgeous … your son will love it! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  5. Wonderful card design and I love how you made use of the negative too! And, I have put my pattern paper in the wrong direction already too and I am sure I did not always catch it either before I sent the card off. At least you could fix this one quite easily.

  6. Cute card, and yes we’ve all done that, LOl.

  7. I love your use of the negative space …and I looked a long time before I saw that the love paper was upside down! Even money that your son would not have caught it! lol Thanks for playing along with us at ATCAS.

  8. Well, I couldn’t find the mistake! I had to rely on the sharp-eyed people before me to tell me what it was! Either way it’s a great card!
